Since the turn of the millennium a sharp increase in the interest for bio energy has been observed. Important reasons for this growing interest can be due to the fact that fossil fuels are a finite resource. A net discharge of greenhouse gases occur when fossil fuels are burned. The discharge of greenhouse gases are considered to be the main reason to the greenhouse effect. Means of control to increase the use of bio energy has been introduced and, as intended, the use of bio energy has increased. As a result of the legal provisions the ability to pay for bio energy has increased, which the forest industry view as a problem.

In this essay, I analyze the syllabus for Swedish with specific regard to literature teaching. I identify three different perspectives which carries seperate implications. First, a text-centered perspective, which tends to position the importance of the text as a part of a tradition. However, this seems to distance the reading from the reader, and place the importance of the reading event outside the student. The consequence might be that the student employs an instrumental reading which simply responds to a pre-set idea of meaning.

Background: A strong brand is becoming an increasingly important factor when surviving on a competitive market. A strong brand can therefore be considered a strategically important resource. The relationship between a brand's strength and its distribution can decide the future of a brand in the long run. Lifestyle branding is becoming a more popular way of differentiating ones brand from the competition. Purpose: The purpose of this thesis is to identify factors which according to the lifestyle brand owners are central when measuring the strength of a brand.

Många människor i alla åldrar insjuknar varje år i cancer. I Sverige insjuknar mer än 7000 personer i åldrarna 20-54 år. I denna åldersgrupp är det många som har barn. Dessa barn kan ha blandade upplevelser och reaktioner på sin förälders sjukdom, vilket kan vara av vikt för sjuksköterskan att känna till, för att kunna ge dessa barn ett bra stöd. Syfte: Syftet var att beskriva barns upplevelser och coping-mekanismer av att leva med en förälder som har cancer.

Syftet med följande arbete är att undersöka om elever och de kursansvariga lärarna upplever att stalldagarna fungerar som en brygga mellan undervisningens teoretiska och praktiska moment. Som en möjlig bieffekt av undersökningen skall jag även ge förslag till förändringar av verksamheten för att bättre uppfylla elevernas och kursansvarigas förväntningar. Arbetet ger en teoretisk grund till begrepp som kunskap och lärande och till hur olika kunskapsformer kan komma till uttryck i undervisningen.

Industribranschen har idag vissa problem med att attrahera kompetent arbetskraft. Arbetet med att bygga ett starkt Employer Brand har därför blivit allt viktigare. Användandet av sociala medier har ökat och detta skapar nya möjligheter för företag att marknadsföra sig. Frågan är dock om företagen använder denna möjlighet i sitt arbete med Employer Branding. Syftet med denna studie var att undersöka hur industriföretag arbetar med Employer Branding genom sociala medier.

That the Swedish society looks different depending on the location is a fact and that in turn means different schools with different conditions and resources depending on the localization. We have in this study interviewed four teachers in a high-status school and four teachers at a low-status school in a municipality south of Stockholm. The purpose of our study is to find out how teachers / educators perceive children's physical and psychological safety in their workplaces, and if there is a difference between the schools in resource allocation.In order to answer our purpose of the study, we chose to interview teachers about how the school looks for the kids in order of enough resources such as books for all, enough facilities and competent and even skilled teachers. To take into account and consider people´s backgrounds, experiences, and cultural frames of reference is a way to interact within a respectful world, and as a good approach to educating children from all parts of the world and with all the different mental and physical difficulties. The two schools in our study show lack of resources but of different kinds.

Sweden is the country in Europe that receives most applicants from asylum seeking unaccompanied children. The majority of all unaccompanied children are boys and the two biggest sending countries are Afghanistan and Somalia. There is however a big difference between the proportion of unaccompanied girls between the two countries, Somalia with a big proportion of girls and Afghanistan with a low proportion of girls. Previous research has shown that there is a big knowledge gap about unaccompanied girls? migration.

Borderlands. A study of the aesthetic-practical environment, its pedagogical and therapeutical properties based on the outline of two practices/institutions: the workshops at Hagastiftelsen and the bookbindery at the Kristofferschool. The perspective on education, pedagogy and therapy taken is an existential one where the main aims of an educational-therapeutic intervention is to support biographical development and integrity. In the process action research in my own bookbinding workshop as well as hermeneutic research at the workshops at Hagastiftelsen where adults with autism and other neuropsychological disorders work have been the sources of primary empirical data. Secondary sources are patient-histories written by Oliver Sacks as well as autobiographical narratives of some adults with autism.

Children at the age of six, has since 1991 been allowed to start their tuition in the Swedish school system. Studies reveal that; the first school year (preschool) can be a stressful task dueto the new environment, new friendships and higher expectations.The purpose of this study is to describe and analyze how the teachers perceive their own role in the transitioning process from preschool to school. This purpose required a method of qualitative complexion and therefore qualitative interviews were used. The material is based on four interviews with four different teachers. The teachers were asked the same question considering; the transition from preschool to school from a pupil point of view, their own role in that transition and their opinions on different educational tools.

Undersökningen framförs ur rektorns perspektiv.Följande frågeställningar används för att hitta svar på denna studie:Vad rektorer tycker om det pedagogiska ledarskapet (abstrakta svar, känslor, icke materiellt):Tycker rektorer att det är svårt att klara av det pedagogiska ledarskapet?Hindrar lärare rektorer att klara av det pedagogiska ledarskapet?Vilket stöd skulle rektorer vilja ha av lärare i sitt pedagogiska ledarskapet? Vilket stöd rektorerna får (konkreta svar, ej känslomässiga, materiellt):Vilket stöd får rektorer av lärare i sitt pedagogiska ledarskap?Vilka brister finns det i lärarnas stöd till rektorers pedagogiska ledarskap?Arbetets teoretiska ramverk består av kapitel som handlar om rektorns juridiska, administrativa och ekonomiska ansvar. Det består av kapitel som handlar om rektorns pedagogiska ledarskap men också om relationen mellan rektor och lärare. Relationen är väldigt viktig eftersom ledarskapet inte existerar utan relationer och i relationen är i sin tur kommunikationen central.Undersökningen visar att rektorer ofta nämner ord som diskussion, gemenskap och förtroende.

The main purpose of this essay is to interpret possible pattern in social extraction, among future male elementary school teachers, at Karlstads elementary school teachers seminar over time. The questions that intend to concrete the purpose, and describe the possible pattern of social backgrounds are following; Where do the future male elementary school teachers come from? How the social recrutiment is divided in professional categorys, and is there any distinction in the pattern of social recrutiment over time? Which social groups were represented at Karlstads elementary school teachers seminar between the year of 1860-1940, and how they were divided.At the categorization of occupation, class- and social belongings I´ve used Sten Carlssons theory of professional categories (the social transformation in Sweden after 1866) which also was used by Kerstin Skog-Östlin in her dissertation Pedagogical control and authortity.The changes in the pattern of social recruitment of male future elementary school teachers were following; the proportion of students with agricultural backgrounds has decreased between the year of 1860 and the turn of the century. Further there was a substantial reduction of students with agricultural backgrounds between the turn of the century and the year of 1940. Students with agricultural backgrounds had the lowest represented frequency according to the investigation.

Cultural relict plant species from the Nordic countries have been collected by the Nordic Genetic Resource Center (NordGen) for the purpose of conservation. To ensure high seed vitality in store, regular germination tests need to be conducted. It is important to get a correct viability status, but the knowledge of seed dormancy in the cultural relict plants is often poor. The objective of this study was to investigate how seed dormancy is affected by cold stratification. The study includes 31 accessions from 28 species with the purpose of establishing germination protocols.

Kompetens och kompetensförsörjning är något som ständigt är aktuellt särskilt nu i och med det pågående generationsskiftet med stora pensionsavångar. En del organisationer väljer att jobba med bemanning och rekrytering själva och andra företag väljer att ta hjälp av bemanningsföretag antingen med inhyrd personal eller också extern rekrytering. Vilka orsaker som ligger bakom att företag som befinner sig i industrisektorn väljer olika personalstrategier är något av vad denna studie har som syfte att belysa.Forskning visar på att kompetens skapar konkurrensfördelar som är svåra att kopiera om det genomförs på ett företagsspecifikt sätt. Denna studie visar på att industrierna utvecklat sina personalstrategier på ett företagsspecifikt sätt. Vidare kommer studien att belysa var och en av dessa företagsspecifika sätt att jobba med rekrytering och bemanning.
