This report is a market research for the company 4 Body and Mind, a start-up company that works with personal training online. They wanted to know if the market for elderly care could be interesting for them to enter. This report is hence a research of the market for health and welfare technology in elderly care within the public sector in Sweden. A general fact is that the world's population is getting older. This combined with rapid growth of individuals in the age 65+ changes the demands on the elderly care in Sweden?s municipalities.

Sweden has an obligation to report child abuse suspicions to Social Services. According to Socialtjänstlagen (swedish constitution) 1 § Chapter 14, all employees in agencies affecting children, such as schools, have a responsibility to report their suspicions. Research shows that many abuses are not reported. The consequence of this is that Social Services does not hear about all cases of abused and harmed children. One profession where reporting is mandated is school counselors.

Purpose/Aim: The purpose of this essay is to see how the media, through the newspaper, "Vi föräldrar?, produces family and parental roles, and to investigate how the image changed over time.Material/Method: The material consists of a number of selected texts from the years 1968, 1988 and 2008. The method used is a discourse analysis based on the three level model by Norman Fairclough. The three levels are the text, the discourse practise and the sociocultural practise. In this study two of the levels, text and sociocultural practise, are used in analysing the texts.Main results: Family and parenting in the texts from 1968 can be linked to the structural functionalist theory in which the core family is central and women and men are assigned to specific roles.

The State Institution for Education of Feebleminded Girls was one of the two swedish educational institutions established under state management in the 1920s and came to be the starting point for further government operations for the mentally deficient. The purpose of this paper was to investigate the activities of the State Institution for Education of Feebleminded Girls, out of what needs the institution filled in Sweden?s care for the mentally deficient. The institution has tried to be understood from the view of eugenics and the perspective of children that was current during the 1900s first half.To fulfill the purpose of the study, the archives for the State Institution for Education of Feebleminded Girls was studied and analyzed with basis of previous research on Sweden?s care for the mentally deficient and the impact from eugenics and Sweden?s child perspective.The study shows that the State Institution for Education of Feebleminded Girls mostly existed to educate students and adapt them to the community, which the institution did by education, disciplinary interventions and sterilizations.

Potential buyers are given a presentation of the different methods available today together with a general briefing describing the process. An important part of this report are the interviews that took place with already established customers. Property owners, managers, pipe cleaners, and project managers whom all been in contact with relining have answered the questions given along with their own thoughts and have also given recommendations of other persons to talk to.

Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) recognizes glaciers as the best land-indicator of climate change. A variety of studies have concluded, using both modeling and field studies, that above all climate parameters precipitation, particularly winter precipitation, and summer temperature controls the change in glacier mass balance. With global warming almost all glaciers on Earth are losing mass. In this study, the summit-glacier constituting Kebnekaise's south summit (called the Southern-summit henceforth), Sweden's highest point, is studied to see how it is affected by winter precipitation and summer temperature during the period 1968?2013.

This study is essentially based on my own questions concerning contemporary playgrounds. Why are they so unimaginative? What do the children say about them? Is it possible to create playgrounds less constructed, and with more natural elements? This report starts with references to literature studies, personal references and my personal view, and ends with a suggestion for a physical solution for an actual day care centre. The aim is to learn more about how the natural environment affects children, the importance of playing, and try to use this knowledge in a design of a day care centre. My main theme can be summarized in the following question: Why is natural elements in playgrounds considered to be healthy for children? I wanted to create a playground with natural characteristics which I myself would have appreciated as a child.

The purpose with this essay is to investigate which factors that are decisive for nurses? propensity for incident reporting. The study uses a descriptive cross-section design. Included are nurses that works at a care unit and who have worked as a nurse for > 1than one year. The survey was sent out to all nurses embraced by the criteria within a subdivision at a hospital in the middle of Sweden.

Vissa forskare menar att konkursprediktion har varit huvudforskningsämne inom redovisning och finans sedan Altmans studie från 1968. Under åren har flera modeller vuxit fram och tidigare forskning har påvisat att konkurs kan förutspås med en hög grad av tillförlitlighet.Denna uppsats har som utgångspunkt Altmans studie från 1968. 66 företag har undersökts i tre år mellan åren 2000 och 2010, varav hälften av företagen har inlett konkurs och den resterande hälften är så kallade friska företag (ej konkurs). Detta i syfte för att undersöka om Altmans konkurspredektionsmodell Z??-score kan appliceras på svenska företag inom service och informationsteknikbranschen.De 33 friska företagen har jämförts mot de 33 konkursförsatta företagen och sedan sammanslagits för en total procentuell klassificering.Vår studie visar att 14 av 33 konkurssatta företag visar tecken på konkurs ett år innan konkurs inleddes.

The number of elderly in Sweden is increasing due to improved living conditions and better medical care. It is important that society adapts to the increase and begins to work preventively to reduce the costs of the increase. An important aspect is the elderly accommodation, the cost of health care in specific accommodation is almost twice as high as those for ordinary housing. Therefore, it is important that we availability adapt dwelling to allow older people to live in ordinary housing for as long as they wish, instead of moving to assisted living before they need it. If we can fulfil the elder?s needs with home care instead, society can save a lot of money.In this report, three different forms of housing has undergone accessibility increases and been inventoried and analysed.

Det är ABF-Sandviken som folkbildare som står i centrum för undersökningen under perioden 1939-1968. Källmaterialet är studieprogram tryckta av ABF-Sandviken samt deras avrapporteringskort under tidsperioden.Frågeställningar som besvaras i uppsatsen är:Vilket folkbildningsarbete gjorde ABF-Sandviken?Fanns det någon ökning i antalet studiecirklar mellan åren 1939-1968?Hur står sig resultatet i förhållande till den skedda invånarökning i Sandviken vid samma tidsperiod?Hur såg könsfördelningen ut vid val av studiecirklar?Vid ett eventuellt överslag åt ett av könen, är det då nya studiecirkelämnen som har gjort överslaget möjligt?Hade studiecirklarna vid ABF-Sandviken någon koppling till samtiden?För att besvara dessa frågeställningar har jag använt mig av samtliga studieprogram och närvarolistor från ABF-Sandviken mellan 1939-1968. Jag har genom detta kommit fram till resultatet att det skedde en ökning av antalet studerande vid ABF-Sandviken på slutet av 1940-talet.

Triage is a process where you considerate the patient?s condition instead of check in time, or other criteria.

The aim of this study was to capture preschool-teachers thoughts and experience basing on the obligation. Are there any policies and procedures for preschool-teachers to use when suspicion that a child is being abused occur. Are there some factors that may affect preschool-teachers to report to the social service? How does the preschool-teacher find the contact with the Social Service? I conducted four interviews with four preschool-teachers, two of these preschool teachers are employed at the same municipal preschool and the other two are employed at two other preschools. The interviews were semi-structured and were conducted at each individual?s workplace.
