An analysis in the work of Martin Kellermans comic ?Rocky? of the interaction between the male and female characters and of how each of their gender are portrayed. We are going to find out if it is probable for young adults to be affected by any eventual gender-stereotypes that we can find in ?Rocky? or if ?Rocky? consolidates a stereotypical image of men and women that young adults might have developed through different media. We conduct this analys by first reading through random seleceted ?Rocky? books and present some of the comic strips where men and women interact with each other or discuss the opposite sex..

A wastewater treatment plant has the task to refine the wastewater from substances that should not be released into the environment. The decomposition process can, in a simple way, be described as follows: micro-organisms breathe oxygen and eat unwanted substances. The environment in which the micro-organism lives is known as sludge and the correct amount of oxygen available in the sludge is important for the decomposition to be effective. The oxygenation of the sludge alone stands for about 30% of the plant?s energy consumption.

During 2009-2010 Sweden participated in an international military operation whose intention, according to the Swedish news media, was to fight Somali pirates. The purpose of this thesis is to study various decisions and documents behind the Swedish efforts, both military and foreign aid, regarding the matter of Somali pirates during the years 2009-2010 and analyze the results using an interpretation of the security-development-nexus-theory. The method used is text analysis based on the hermeneutic idea of understanding and interpretation.The thesis studies the international resolutions and national decisions that lead to the military operations in the Gulf of Aden and also the international strategies and national approaches regarding Sweden's assistance in the development of Somalia. The theoretical section contains an interpretation of the vast security-development-nexus-theory. The concepts of security and development are first presented separately and then collectively in terms of military security, societal security, economic security, regime security and human security.

Föreliggande arbete tar sin utgångspunkt i Försvarsmaktens befintliga förmåga att verka med pansarvärnsrobotar. Med syfte att undersöka om det eventuellt finns ett tomrum att fylla för pansarbrytande robotsystem och att jämföra befintligt system mot föregående och ge förslag på önskvärda förmågor. Ur historik, äldre studier, teknisk data från föregående system och intervjuer dras slutsatser som ligger till grund för värderingar av det existerande behovet. Resultatet visar att pansarvärnsrobot 57 har god möjlighet till att lösa given uppgift om systemet tillförs i större omfattning inom skytteförbanden. Miljön styr taktiken, taktiken styr nyttan vilket i sin tur genererar effekt med systemet.

Syftet med vår uppsats är att undersöka debatten om pornografi i den feministiska kulturtidskriften Bang mellan åren 1991 och 2011. Vår metod och teoretiska utgångspunkt är diskursanalysen med sin socialkonstruktivistiska grund. Med hjälp av denna har vi analyserat 25 artiklar som handlar om pornografi. Våra forskningsfrågor kretsar kring hur debatten förändrats över tid, och vilka teman som varit mestcentrala. A budget consists of figures showing how much a particular activity has access to during a given year. With a balanced scorecard, these figures and guidelines can be converted in to more easily understandable non-financial instructions for the employees. One of the most significant differences between the budget and the scorecard is that the budget focuses on short-term results while the scorecard focuses on long-term visions and goals. With a long-term thinking the leaders can  set more long-term goals and also make more well-planned investments which increases the possibility for the organization to evolve and become better in the long term. After the storms Gudrun and Per, the areas became planted with new plants, mainly spruce, but also other tree species. Storm areas are now being invaded by naturally rejuvenated birch in the tilling tracks. Since the birch often is initially growing faster than the spruce it is inhibiting the growth and is also damaging the spruce. The purpose of this thesis is to study the new brush saw with chain and compare it with the conventional clearing saw, mainly in terms of performance and ergonomics. The results show that the new brush saw with chain is very good in almost all clearing operations compared to the conventional clearing saw.

In the wake of a heightened interest in the Swedish Middle Ages, the need for knowledge has increased as well. The Swedish Middle Ages was an era when the country truly began to grow closer to the European sphere of culture. The forces behind this transformation are largely to be sought among the social elite, the budding aristocracy of Sweden. The process of becoming ?Europeans? brought with it great changes to Sweden, not the least in terms of the political arena.

In this degree project I have studied how an anti-discrimination bureau can adapttheir online information to the target group ? immigrants who only have modestunderstanding of the Swedish language. This group is often subject of discriminationmatters, and therefore it?s important that they can take part of the information.To find answers to my questions I have studied different relevant theories, performeda readability analysis on the online information and have had qualitativeinterviews with representatives from the target group. I have also tested my rewrittentexts on both representatives and other readers.The result from my studies has shown that it is words that are the most difficult inthe current online information, while length and structure of the sentences are alsoof importance when it comes to the readability.

Denna uppsats behandlar den Zapatistiska motståndsrörelsen utifrån gramsciansk och neogramsciansk teoribildning för att förklara deras kamp som en reaktion på den rådande neoliberalistiska ekonomiska globaliseringen. Genom att studera deras ideologi och handlingar så menar vi att de utgör en del av ett kontrahegemoniskt motstånd beläget inom den nya globala anti-globaliseringsrörelsen som i sin tur utgör en del av det globala civila samhället. Zapatisternas struktur och metod har, som ett resultat av den ekonomiska globaliseringen, omvandlats och anpassat sig för att kunna föra sin kamp och visa på att alternativ till neoliberalismen existerar..

This thesis reports on a case study of two different organisational forms in the Swedish forest industry; the geographic and the functional organisation. The work in the geographic organisation is carried out within districts under the supervision of an overall responible district manager, where as in the functional organisation the work has been divided into functions headed by function managers. Forest magement, logging and wood purchases are examples of such functions. The general idea of the functional organisation is having the functions working over a larger geographic unit, without subdividing district boundaries of the region. Also a third organisational form of current interest for the forest industry; the process orientated organisation, is analyzed in the case study. Here, a company outside the forest industry has been analyzed, since no forest company was considered to have made as much progress of changing organisation to process orientation. In the report I present the results from qualitative interviews, where I give the reader a picture of the motives behind each organisational form, what the form implies for some of the company?s interested parties and the organisations? views on future organisational development.

The Swedish State Road Administration has since 1992 procured operations and maintenance of state roads on the open market. The procurement has been termed ?Grundpaket Drift?, GPD, and comprises mostly operational measures for road networks.The clients of GPD, SRA regions, have gradually changed the original documentation in order to adapt it to local conditions.
