Att bara vara : en essÀ om att lyssna pÄ tysta och blyga barns Äsikt och vilja

Tysta och blyga barn Àr ofta de som lÀmnas Ät sidan eller fÄr vÀnta med att fÄ sina behov tillgodosett. Som fritidspedagog Àr det en viktig uppgift att insocialisera barn i gemenskap, men hur gör man med barn som inte vill? Hur handskas man med barn som föredrar att vara för sig sjÀlva? I vilken grad ska deras önskan respekteras och nÀr blir insocialisering ett vÀrde som bör överordnas barnets fria val?I denna essÀ undersöker jag hur jag som fritidspedagog kan förstÄ dessa barns behov och förhÄlla mig till dem utifrÄn begreppen barnperspektiv respektive barns perspektiv, barns delaktighet, inflytandet och bÀsta. Jag kommer att utgÄ frÄn nÄgra problem frÄn min egen arbetslivserfarenhet och belysa dem med hjÀlp av olika synsÀtt som objekt- och aktörsperspektiv och symbolisk interaktionism..

Child health care in Sweden is today automatically informed of newborns in the district and itis therefore natural for the maternal and child health nurses to contact and invite the new family to the child welfare clinic. So far the social services in the studied county have not reported new adoptive families to the child welfare clinics; instead the families have to contact the clinic themselves. The aim of this study was to investigate how social services inform the child welfare clinics of new adoptive families. The aim was also to investigate how and when the maternal and child health nurse thinks that contact should be established and what information/knowledge she feels a need of in contact with new adoptive families. The study has a qualitative design and interviews have been conducted with social workers, a representative of an adoption agency and maternal and child health nurses working in child welfare clinics.

Nearly half of the worlds population is individuals under the age of eighteen. The UN Convention on the Rights of the Child state in its first article that a child is ?every human being below the age of 18 years?. Our aim and purpose with this essay is to problemize this broad definition. Our hypothesis is that the definition brought by the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child is too wide and therefore brings difficulties when children of different ages beneath eighteen should and shall be treated the same.

BackgroundType 1 diabetes is a chronically disease that often occurs in early life. In every year around 77.000 children in the world is estimated with type 1 diabetes. When a child gets a chronically disease it affects the whole family, specially the parents who will be the child's caregiver.AimThe aim of this study was to describe parents experiences of living with a child with type 1 diabetes.MethodA literature review was carried trough based on 10 qualitative scientific articles. The articles were analyzed and two main themes and seven subthemes emerged.ResultsAll parents experienced that they needed some kind of support particularly early in their illness. They felt it was a big responsibility to take care of their child with diabetes and parents often felt anxiety and fear associated with the disease.

This paper explores the interaction of children with language impairment (LI). The present essay is a conversation analytic study of child-child and child-therapist dyads. The aim was to explore in what ways children with LI reach common understanding. Another purpose was to investigate if there are differences in interaction between dyads with children with LI and dyads with children with LI and speech language therapist. Seven children, three girls and four boys, with LI participated in the study.

Child poverty in Sweden as a social phenomenon has been highlighted in various debates and in poverty research during the recent years. Children's economic vulnerability has gotten more place in research. An interest to highlight child poverty awakened and this study highlights child poverty through a resource perspective among children in preschools. This study aims to examine how preschool teachers perceive the child's assets to various resources as well as how preschool teachers perceive the impact of the preschool where they work on children's access to these resources. The study is qualitative and has used interviews as a tool.

The aim of this essay was to examine the impact that parents drug abuse have on their childrenÂŽs chances and possibilities while growing up. This study is done by investigating literature written by acknowledged authors and experts in this field. The following questions were asked:How does the literature describe the influence of parentÂŽs drug abuse on their childÂŽs ability to develop and learn?Which factors does the literature distinguish as determining factors on the childÂŽs ability to resist and recover, from a childhood with drug abusing parents?The result of this essay showed that having drug abusing parents constitute different types of risks when it comes to the childÂŽs ability to develop and learn. How the child is able to cope with itÂŽs parents drug abuse is determined by several factors such as, the situation in the family, the childÂŽs personality and how people in the childÂŽs surrounding react on the childÂŽs needs..

Barns rÀtt och ÀktenskapsÄldern : En kritisk studie av svensk rÀtt i samband med de grundlÀggande principerna i barnkonventionen

The Swedish rules for marrying in Sweden are different for swedish citizens and foreigners. A swedish citizen has to have permission from"LĂ€nsstyrelsen"to marry before the age of 18 but a foreigner may marry without permission at an age of 15, unless a higher age is required by the foreign law. The main question in this essay is if the swedish international law concerning the age of marriage is compatible with the Convention on the Rights of the Child and/or the Swedish Constitution. The comparison is based on mainly two questions: Primarily the Swedish international law is discussed concerning which marrying age is good for the child. Thereafter it is discussed whether it is discriminating to have different marrying ages for swedish and foreign citizens.
