The literature on spelling and spelling development suggests there is a strong relationship between spelling and phonology (Bruck & Treiman, 1990; Caravolas, Hulme & Snowling, 2001; Craig, 2006; Gindri, Keske-Soares & Mota, 2007). Spelling, however, is considerably less researched than reading (Caravolas, Humle & Snowling, 2001). Spelling difficulties are known to be more persistent in people with reading and writing disabilities, even when their reading has become acceptable (Høien & Lundberg, 1999) but more research is needed in this area. Assessment and detailed knowledge of the difficulties is of great importance in order to provide the appropriate help for children with reading and writing disabilities (Frisk, 2010; Magnusson, Nauclér, & Reuterskiöld, 2008). The purpose of the present study was to develop and try out a phonologically based spelling test for children, with focus on medial phonemes.

AllEars´ own view has been created via an interview with the company?s CEO, a press release that was released in connection with the launch of the website and texts found on the website.

China is a unique market that differs from the Western market in many ways. Companies are not required to publicize financial reports, and furthermore a heavy focus on business relationship building can make it hard for companies to have high quality streams of data to get insights about their markets. For a consultant company to successfully enter the Chinese market and helping producing and technological global firms improving their insights on the Chinese market, the consultant company needs to understand which the important factors are and how those factors can help in creating value for their potential customers. To help the analyzing and consultant firm called Kairos Future, a qualitative case study was conducted on 16 different global companies with focus on industrial production. The case study was mainly conducted through face to face interviews with decision makers who had a broad understanding of their respective companies.

The goal of this project was to create a web-based, crowd-sourced, correlational database, that easily allowed users to submit objects and receive correlated objects as results. The webservice was created in the web development languages of HTML, CSS, PHP and Javscript, with MySQL to handle the database. Simultaneous development was kept in check with the aid of the source code management system GIT. Upon completion, the service contained several HTML-views, the ability to add and rate objects, a per-object dedicated page with information parsed from Wikipedia.org, and a view with objects ranked in accordance to the preferences specific to the current user. Roughly a month after the beginning of development, the website was publicly launched and promoted in order to collect data, and improvements were added to the website as needed.

Background: There are many possible reasons why a patient gets a stoma and in every case it?s of importance for the nurse to adjust nursing care, information and patient education from individual presuppositions. Problem: Patient education regarding stoma self-care is an important part of the nurse?s work within stoma care. The patient is depending on the guidance of the nurse and therefore it is relevant to illuminate the importance of education regarding gaining ability to perform self-care.

The respondents where pupils in a class were it is an ongoing project which purpose is to develop childrens problem solving ability and social skills with cognitive training and an empowerment based reasoning model that is called rahyab. Rahyab is a Persian word and it means path- finding.

The purpose was to examine relations between motivation and goal orientation, perceived ability and perceived motivational climate among persons working out in gym. Another purpose was to study differences in motivation, perceived ability and motivational climate among men and women. The final purpose was to study interactional effects on the dependent variable motivation. The participants were 59 men and 69 women. The instruments used were Task and Ego Goal Orientation in Sport Questionnaire (TEOSQ), Harter´s Competence scale and part of Mahoneys R-5 test.

På senaste tid har fler och fler företag börjat utrusta sin personal med elektroniska verktyg för beslutsstöd i mobila sammanhang. Laptops (bärbara datorer) har länge dominerat marknaden för det användningsområde som i uppsatsen kallas "mobil business intelligence". I takt med att mobiltelefoner har fått bättre prestanda och utökad funktionalitet har idén om att göra mobiltelefoner touchskärm-baserade gett upphov för begreppet "smartphones". Efter den stora succén med touchskärm-baserade enheter i fockformat har större varianter introducerats och marknadsförts som både pek- och läsplatta (eng. Tablet computer).

The aim of this study was to investigate how four middle school teachers use and process the contents in read-aloud books, to stimulate the pupils interest in reading and increase reading comprehension. A qualitative approach was used to collect data, through interviews and observations. The findings show that all of the teachers work with read-aloud books regularly. The teachers state that read-aloud books have a positive effect on pupils language, vocabulary, reading comprehension, imagination and ability to reflect. The teachers have three distinctive purposes with read aloud-books, a moment of relaxation, create an interest in books and increase the pupils reading comprehension.

Business Intelligence (BI) är ett ämne som ständigt är aktuellt och i takt med en ständigt växande informationsmängd finns det allt fler verksamheter som upplever ett behov av att analysera informationen. Vid Karlstads kommuns Kontaktcenter (KC) finns ett behov av att rapportera om vilka medborgarfrågor som kommer in och registreras samt i vilken mängd frågor inom olika områden kommer in. Ett alternativ som KC har börjat undersöka är att använda sig av BI för att genomföra rapportering och analysering av insamlad information. För att informera KC om vilka utmaningar som finns inom BI tillsammans med verksamhetsstyrning har kandidatuppsatsen arbetats fram. Utmaningarna som beskrivs har hämtats från teori samt intervjuer vid KC och vid Karlstads universitet (KAU) där ett arbete inom BI har pågått i flera år.
