This paper concerning the regional architectural term known as The Tjust Empire style analyses manor houses built in the Tjust area by the east coast of Småland in the period 1810-1860. The term Tjust Empire style was invented in 1937 by PhD. Manne Hofrén in his dissertation on architecture in Kalmar län in the period 1650-1850. The aim of the paper is firstly to determine whether there is a distinct difference between the regional Tjust Empire style in architecture and the common Swedish empire style or as its Swedish equivalent is known; the Karl Johan style. Secondly, the paper strives to analyse why and how the Empire style became so popular in the area during this period, focusing on architecture as a means to express social identity and status.

This is a thesis about the American empire. I also focus my work to see if this American empire is declining. The two main questions I ask and want to answer in this thesis are: is America an empire and is it in decline?I first conclude that America has been an empire ever since the end of the Second World War. The sheer military and economic power of the American empire matches and exceeds the ones before them.

This essay comprises a study of the bridal crowns of Tjust, with respect to their national history, concept and aspect of mythological symbol. The tradition of bearing the parochial bridal crown is closely associated with religious medieval politics, and has also come to include elements of superstition and folklore. Attention is paid to these aspects dealing with the position of the bridal crown within current forms of tradition and culture and the impact on brides of this day and age. As the tradition of Church-owned bridal crowns is intrinsic to this country, and especially in the area of which Tjust is a part, possible solutions to the continued tradition are investigated..

It also shows how the discourse in an australian newspaper, The SydneyMorning Herald, might affect the people reading it and how thoughts about "the other"is reproduced in the media. The years 1947-1950 has been chosen because those werethe years of the Dominion of India, when India first became independent from theBritish Empire, to the formation of the Republic of India in 1950.All this is done by using postcolonial theory and discourse analytic method hand inhand to de-veil the structures of Empire within the media..

Survey´s purpose is to illustrate why and how the process happened, when the seferades had to move from Spain in the last years of 15th century to the Ottoman Empire and how the authors have discussed this. How the seferades were treated by the Turks and the sultan, how teh Jews taught the people in the empire, to use the new innovations. The different results showed that the ottomans also gave great chances to the Jews and they became a powerful group of the palace in the empire.The results also showed that the authors are divided into two groups, one group defending the sultans act, and the others are not. The main reason for the ottomans to open their doors for the seferades was to take advantage of their konwledge. The reason for the attack by the western authors on the sultan´s decisions, are more complex and needs to be explained.

Jag har arbetat med att producera ett informationsmaterial för nya hyresgäster hos hyresvärden Ydewalls i Katrineholm. Jag har använt mina kunskaper inom informationsdesign, textdesign och grafisk form för att utforma materialet.    Syftet med informationsmaterialet är att ge de nya hyresgästerna den information som de kan tänkas behöva under tiden de bor i lägenheten. Ydewalls vill genom att förbättra sitt material minska antalet onödiga förfrågningar från hyresgästerna.   Jag har arbetat efter min huvudfråga: hur skapas ett informationsmaterial utifrån de principer som finns inom informationsdesign? För att få svar på min fråga använde jag mig av metoder som litteraturstudier, komparation, deskription, enkätundersökning samt utprovningar.

This essay contains a comparative analysis of Erik Olin Wrights Marxist class analysis and Michael Hardt and Antonio Negris post-Marxist class analysis as presented in their books ?Empire? and ?Multitude: War and democracy in the age of Empire?. I discuss the shift in analytical focus from state level to global level that Hardt and Negri's analysis represent and the ensuing relevance of this for contemporary class analysis. The essay also address the challenge and implications posed to class analysis by the ever increasing economic globalization, from a material production to an ever growing immaterial service economy and the decrease in state power in controlling capital and labor movement. I propose that analytical understanding of class conflict help us to a better understanding of the mechanisms and dynamics that generate social and economical inequalities and that an updated Marxist class analysis still have much to contribute to our understanding to how these issues not only shape our society but also our capacity to counteract them..

Similarities in earlier research between leadership styles and communication forms were found, partly concerning relations and partly concerning work assignments. Our approach was based on the notion that there could be a correlation between the manager2019s choice of communication mode (informal/formal) and leadership style i.e. Relation-Oriented Behaviour Leadership style/Task-Oriented Behaviour Leadership style. A gender perspective was used in the research. The method was quantitative with a questionnaire to women managers (N=78) in the private and the public sectors.

This treatise analysis what functions light has in theater. It was inspired by Rosalinda Krauss essay Sculpture in the Expanded Field but builds mostly on the following three books Linda Essig Lighting and the design idea (2nd ed), Nigel H. It discovers nine unique functions of light (performance style, dramatic style, image,illumination, 3D space, 3D form, selectivity, environment, atmosphere) and develops a graphical mapping of them based on a mapping by Reid. This thesis aims to open the Pandora?s Box of hedge fund styles through an index-based style analysis. This information asymmetry is due to both less strict disclosure requirements and inherent nature of hedge funds. We employ a multiple unconditional linear regression model wherein 23 Swedish hedge funds are regressed on 10 style indices. In addition to the increased interest in hedge funds and their performance drivers, our unique approach with regressing return on return motivates this study.

The purpose of the literature review was to examine barriers and facilitators to life style changes experienced by patients with coronary heart disease. This knowledge could be of use to the nurse in her role as a support to the patient in the process of life style change. The result from this study shows that family support, knowledege about the disease and motivation are important factors when changing life style behaviors..

En affärsplan är ett dokument som på ett kortfattat men heltäckande sätt beskriver ett företag och dess verksamhets samtliga delar. En affärsplan är något som alla företag bör ha och som används vid kontakten med interna och externa intressenter.Tjust Rehab AB är ett friskvårdsföretag i Västervik som har funnits i 20 år, men som aldrig har upprättat en affärsplan för sin verksamhet. Genom ett samarbete med företaget har vi upprättat en affärsplan och det är grunden till vår uppsats. Affärsplanen ska vara ett verktyg för företaget att förmedla sin affärsidé och sina visioner och mål för verksamheten till de anställda, samt utgöra ett underlag vid en eventuell framtida försäljning av företaget.Litteratur om affärsplaner har studerats för att få kunskap om hur den ska upprättas och vilka delar som bör finnas med. Vi har observerat verksamheten och intervjuat personalen för att fåbinformation om företaget och dess kultur.

Under våren 2008 utförde jag mitt examensarbete på Utvecklingsverkstaden, inom Volvo Construction Equipment i Eskilstuna. Uppdraget bestod i att presentera förslag på ett skyltsystem som skulle vara modernt, professionellt utformat och ha ett enhetligt utseende. Den befintliga skyltparken var kraftigt eftersatt och föråldrad.  Syftet formulerades till att utforma förslag på ett tydligt skyltsystem som skulle representera aktuell avdelning och dess verksamhet. Syftet innefattade även att ta fram övergripande riktlinjer om placering, för varje kategori av skyltar.

The material of the essay exists of two games and five reviews. The method that is being used is a content analysis. The games that are being analysed are Jade Empire and Grand Theft Auto ? San Andreas.Main results: The video games are often connected to brutal violence but the analysis of the game Jade Empire shows that it is possible to hve control of the violence in the games and that the player has a possibility to choose the outcome of violence.

The aim of this study was to examine differences between happy and unhappy people, with respect to individuals interpretations, their attributonal style and in what way the priming effect is related to their attributional style and well-being. The participants were 74 senior high school and 21 undergraduate college students. Participants were asked to read a short story, some words were in bold type, and thereafter for their subjective perception of the words in bold type loading and memory of them in a recognition list. Attributional style was operationalized with an own constructed instrument. The results show that happy individuals interpreted more words as positive than negative in comparission with unhappy individuals.
