Tyr ? A historical and comparative study of configurations and formations connected to the Old Norse god Tyr. Klas af Edholm This thesis has two aims. One is a discussion of the history of the study of Old Norse religion and related aspects, centered on how general tendencies within the area of research have affected the interpretations of the god *T?waz/Tyr.

This paper deals with Will Kymlicka's and Charles Taylor's theories of multiculturalism, and the criticism of these theories by Jürgen Habermas and Seyla Benhabib. It also gives a brief background to the Swedish integration and minority policies and places them in relations to the academic discussion. Taylor advocates cultural survival to be a legitimate policy objective and Kymlicka argues that rights should be diversified in order to adapt to different needs of cultural minorities. The thesis aims to confront the theories with interviews of four persons who voluntarily or by profession work for the interest of minorities. The theories have been operationalized as questions and structured in four themes with the purpose of analyzing the interviews.

This thesis is concerned with investigating the Roma, a group that is left out in most of the territory bound theories. The theoretical purposes are to develop theories that increase the understanding for the Roma as a diasporic nation without state and the advocacy networks they are organised in. The main empirical purpose has been to study two organisations as cases and how they position themselves against the European Union concerning identity politics. The two organisations are European Roma Rights Centre (ERRC) and Dzeno. They are a part of the same network that works on different levels with the rights of Roma.

The purpose of this paper is to describe methods to computerize a library and to compare theory with a process in a school library. The case study is based on a school library called Sunnerbogymnasiet which is situated in Ljungby. My questions are;- Which methods are parts of the process to computerize a library?- Which methods are used in the process in Sunnerbogymnasiet?- What does the practical process look like compared to the methods described in theory?In the paper I present the methods in the process according to the studied literature and compare these with a process at Sunnerbogymnasiet. The most significant result is that cooperation between the school library and the community library was the most important reason for the choice of library computer system.

SammanfattningTrots att Sveriges befolkning består i dag av c:a 10% invandrare. Är det fortfarande svårt för många av dem att komma in i det svenska samhället i dag. Problemet med diskriminering bland invandrare i Sverige gör att många av de riskerar att hamna utanför samhällets kretsar. Trots detta problem har ett fenomen visat att invandrare kan integreras till det svenska samhället. Det här fenomenet är fotboll en sport som har visat sig vara ett viktigt hjälpmedel för integration av unga invandrarkillar i Sverige, enligt en undersökning som gjordes av Jesper Fundberg åt riksidrottsförbundet (2003).

Uppsatsen handlar om ett projekt som ägde rum på en gymnasieskola i södra Sverige. Projektet syftade till att låta elever, från olika kulturella bakgrunder, lära känna varandra genom intervjuer. Fyra klasser med totalt 38 elever blev givna uppgiften att skriva ett personporträtt om den de intervjuade. Detta gav studenterna möjligheten att lära känna varandra, samtidigt som de fick veta mer om respektive elevs kulturella bakgrund. Min del i detta projekt var att utvärdera resultatet genom att intervjua elever och lärare, för att se vad de tyckte om projektet.

Kan Sverige lära sig något om invandring och flyktingmottagande från ett land som ligger på andra sidan Atlanten? Kanada beskrivs i bland som en nation av invandrare. Landet har en lång historia av invandring och det är en viktig del av landets ekonomi. Kanada tar årligen emot omkring 260 000 invandrare. Knappt hälften av invandrarna väljer att bosatta sig i mångmiljonstaden Toronto.

Efterfrågan i service- och turismbranschen varierar mycket beroende på säsong. Detta gör att även behovet av personal varierar och måste anpassas genom tidsbegränsade anställningar. Varje säsongsstart innebär ett flertal nyanställda med behov av integration i företaget, dess servicefilosofi med mera. Säsongsanställda har ofta mycket kundkontakt och representerar företaget utåt. Det är därför viktigt att motivera och integrera den säsongsanställde.

This essay is about how the library can make a difference inintegrating the minority Roma people into the Swedish society.Roma people have been subjected to persecution anddiscrimination for a long time. In this essay, I examine theactivities, functions and capabilities of libraries that can have apositive effect for the integration of the Roma people. Myquestions are: How can libraries reach out to the Roma people andwhat function do the library have for the integration of the Romapeople? I have used Marianne Anderssons and Dorte Skot-Hansens theory the four functions of the library ? the culutralcenter, the knowledge center, the information center and the socialcenter. Based on this theory, I have interpreted and analyzed thematerial that I have gathered through interviews and literaturestudies such as thesis, dissertations, repors and parliamentdocuments.

Together with Spotify, we have come to a certain focus area where Spotify themselves feel that there is potential for improvement. This paper describes a factor analysis applied at the data of the European Union structural indicators. Does the country people live in affect the probability of them experiencing happiness? Can a country variable in an ordinal regression model be affected when microeconomic and macroeconomic factors are added to the model? The possible outcomes are either that the country variable affects less when the additional predictors are added to the model, or that they stay the same. The micro data is collected from the European Social Survey database, the macro data is collected from the World Bank. The country variable becomes less substantial when additional variables are added to the model. The variable with the most influence over expected happiness apart from the country variable is whether the individual often socializes with friends or not.

This paper describes the integration of environmental assessment in Swedish municipality comprehensive planning through a chosen case study. The implementation of a new EGdirective in Swedish law, concerning Assessment of the effects of certain plans and programmes on the environment, should lead to some changes in the way Swedish municipalities' deals with environmental issues in their comprehensive plans. This could later on lead to new preconditions for municipality comprehensive planning. The purpose of this study was to investigate how the planning organisation in the municipality adapts to new regulations for impact assessment of comprehensive plans required by the Planning and Building act. Secondly the purpose was to partly participate in the early stages of the planning process and thereby indicate and identify possible environmental impacts regarding the aspects of land and water. This was done as a case study in a well defined part of the process.

I uppsatsen undersöks hur integration av invandrare i de areella näringarna (växtodling, djurhållning och skogsskötsel) och på landsbygden kan underlättas, med fokus på Västra Götalands län. Det sker dels genom en litteraturstudie i ämnet, dels genom att beskriva erfarenheter av några projekt inom grön integration som genomförts i Västra Götaland, finansierat av landsbygdsprogrammet 2007-2013. Flyktingar med olika bakgrund intervjuas också om sin syn på landsbygden och intresse av att bo på landsbygden och arbeta inom de gröna näringarna. Litteraturstudien täcker olika aspekter på integration, såsom integration på landsbygden jämfört med i städerna, kommuners och myndigheters roll, möjligheter för invandrare att etablera sig som företagare inom de gröna näringarna, och nischer inom de gröna näringarna som kan vara lämpliga/möjliga för invandrare att etablera sig inom. Invandrare i Sverige bor i hög utsträckning i städer. Svensk landsbygd domineras av etniska svenskar och åldersstrukturen på landsbygden är ogynnsam för de gröna näringarna. För att utvecklas behöver landsbygden attrahera unga människor, entreprenörer och barnfamiljer. Invandrare är entreprenörer i högre utsträckning än etniska svenskar, och det finns många invandrade barnfamiljer som vill bo och arbeta på landsbygden.
