In my project, Cups on the run, I have studied the relationship between ceramic utility objects and different environments, when moving them off the table. My background as a potter has been the starting point. From there, I wanted to see if I could expand my craft to the space beyond. With the cup, which for most people has a clear function and a relation to us human, in repetitive structure I explored the spatiality and architecture in various environments. Life fascinates me through how everything is made up of tiny parts that together create the tangible and intangible.

Today?s electrical grid companies understand that better knowledge of and information about their grid can help realize a smart grid network. One way to gain better knowledge and information about the low voltage network is to install measuring equipment on the substation transformer´s secondary low voltage side that measures the low voltage network losses for that specific substation. By doing so, grid companies can, due to the calculation of the low voltage network losses, identify and address issues such as illegal power dissipation, unmeasured power outtakes, and unsatisfied technical documentation for the substations low voltage network.During 2012, Mälarenergi Elnät AB had a total electrical network loss (both medium and low voltage network losses included) of three to four percent of their total distributed electrical volume. Converting this energy volume into a monetary figure this accounts for a loss of around 30 million Swedish crowns.

Fastighetsbolaget Klövern AB förvaltar 45 fastigheter i Karlstad kommun. Med stigande energipriser ökar behovet för Klövern att energieffektivisera sina fastigheter för att minska kostnaderna. Rapportens syfte är att undersöka tre av Klövern utvalda fastigheter med hög energiförbrukning. Målet är att presentera energibesparande åtgärder för Klövern att använda som beslutsunderlag för framtida investeringar. För åtgärdsförslagen görs LCC-analyser för att undersöka om de är lönsamma.

Cellular IP är ett nytt nätverksprotokoll på ingång som är tänkt att lösa prestandaproblemen i Mobile IP. Influenser har tagits från hur mobiltelefonnäten är uppbyggda för att lösa problemen med förflyttning mellan basstationer på ett smidigt sätt. Detta examensarbete syftade till att optimera routingfunktionen i ett Cellular IP nätverk och integrera det med Mobile IP. I uppgiften ingick också att installera och om nödvändigt modifiera befintlig kod för Linux Mandrake. Rapporten innehåller dokumentation för installation och konfiguration av protokollet samt all nödvändig programvara.

I have worked with patterns for textiles, and the goal of the project was to makethree patterns in one colorway. My wish was that the patterns would be relatedeither in motif or colorway, or both. I wanted the patterns to be seen as a minicollection. My aim was to make three patterns that would serve as home textiles.I decided to print the patterns digitally on fabric, but also to customize the designof the pattern repeats to be printed in rotary printing. I wanted to work within thelimits of what is possible to produce in terms of colors and repeat sizes.One of my goals with the project was to clarify for myself what the essence of mydesign is, and to create a collection that reflects me as a designer.

With the digital revolution within video games, the need for Digital Rights Management (DRM) has increased significantly, alongside with the increasing problem of copyright pirates. To counter pirates, DRM was created to prevent illegal copying of software, this to ensure that the Distributors received an income for their work. DRM has, since the start of its use, been getting, a lot of bad criticism from the users of the software protected by DRM. The main function of this paper is to describe the creation and development of DRM by analysis of the vision of different groups on this phenomenon. The main questions are as follows, is it possible to define the very reason for why DRM was created and if so, can its development through time be defined too? What differences in opinions are there when it comes to DRM, counting the two major groups of creators, sellers, distributors (referred to as distributors) versus individual users (referred to as consumers)? In what way will the research results suggest that the future DRM will develop?The development has gone from solving puzzles in a handbook to start the game each time the user wants to play, to serial numbers that is needed during the installation of the game.

Examensarbetet har gjorts i samarbete med Hjort Conveyor, ett företag i Helsingborg som tillverkar conveyorsystem för transportering av gods inom processindustrin.Vårt uppdrag har varit att ta fram ett kostnadseffektivt och kommersiellt hållbart styrsystem till deras applikation för lodrät transportering. Funktionskraven har varit parallellreglering, enkeldrift, samt reglering av balk i vinklat läge.Denna rapport omfattar vårt arbete med val av komponenter, programmering av styrprogrammet och installation av systemet. Även drifttagningen, som sketts på en testanläggning hos Linde Metallteknik AB tas upp.Projektets samtliga krav har uppfyllts och testanläggningen används idag i produktion hos Linde Metallteknik AB..

Botswanas ekonomiska tillväxt utgör ett sällsynt exempel på ett afrikanskt land som har lyckats använda sina naturtillgångar till att driva på en ekonomisk utveckling och samtidigt minimerat effekterna av den så kallade Holländska sjukan (HS). HS är ett ekonomiskt fenomen som går ut på att en växande sektor som baseras på naturtillgångar skadar landets tillverkningssektor och leder därmed till en indirekt de-industrialisering. Botswanas diamantindustri står för drygt 35% av BNP:n och hela 75% av exportintäkterna vilket gör att landet har en mineralbaserad ekonomi. Detta faktum har gjort landet väldigt intressant för forskning. Aktuell forskning har med hjälp av ekonometriska metoder visat att landets tillverkningssektor har undvikit eller drabbats minimalt av de effekter som HS utgör.

Kina har i många år varit ledande inom textil produktion och landets ekonomiska tillväxt har ökat för varje år som går. Trots krisen 2008 lyckades Kina hålla landets ekonomi i schack medan andra av världens stora nationer gick in i en djup kris (Baocheng 2010, ss. 215-226). Under de senaste åren har det även framkommit hur Kinas exploaterade industri har bidragit till den förödande miljöförstöring som råder i landet. Kina har i många år varit Sveriges största importland av textilier.

This project is about color and light and how it affects the atmosphere in the city. I choseto look closer into the central parts of the city, a place where I often feel a lack of lightand color, especially during the winter season. In the beginning of the project I made ananalysis of how intense colors are used in the city and how we can use color as a tool tocreate effectful spaces. Further into the project I chose to look closer into the effects thatare made by the facades, how the light from the windows affects the room outside when the dark falls. At the end of the project I caught a feeling inspired by the city and applied it into an installation of light..

The main focus for this essay is to describe the relationship between human and nature through a material investigation that takes its shape through sculpture. With the help of a fairytale-like story the reader can share the creation of the sculpture and how my thoughts flow through the process that will result in an exam project. Rooted in earlier projects I discuss the crash between civilization and the wilderness as well as talking about the likeness of the creative process and child play. I also discuss the body's place in the forest and the loneliness that we humans created that has cut us off from the rest of the creatures and plants in the forest. My aim is that in the final piece I will create a fiction place where these can be joined together again.

Vi har tillsammans formgivit ett mönster till barn i åldrarna sju till tio år, med textilier som slutprodukt. För att uppnå ett gott resultat krävs det noggrann planering av de olika arbetsprocesserna. Vi har använt oss av totalt sju processer, planering, avsmalning, färger, typsnitt, skisser, mönster och rapportering samt trycktekniker. I formgivningen har vi arbetat med temat svenska skogsdjur och växter, med inriktning mot de norrländska arterna. Färgerna vi har arbetat med har vi valt ur PANTONE solid uncoated, totalt har vi arbetat med tretton färger.

Mikroproduktion innebar att kunden sjalv kan producera och anvanda sin el. I Sverige finnsett okat intresse for att tillverka sin egen el och har under den senaste tiden okat markant.Denna uppsatsen har jag skrivit for att underlatta vid installation av vindkraft respektivesolceller, jag har aven gjort en ekonomisk analys av dessa for att fa en battre bild over detekonomiska av att producera egen el, darfor finner man nagra olika analys aspekter ochkostnadskalkyler i denna uppsats. Genom dessa analyser har jag kunnat dra nagra slutsatserbetraffande de bada och om ifall att det ar ett bra kop pa lang sikt. This paper describes the work done trying to diminish the noise present in the signal from an IR-detector. The project was aiming towards two different kinds of applications; heat protection and presence detection. The hypothesis was that the signal-noise ratio would decrease if a filter and a proper installation were used for the detector. Some experiments were executed to determine what kind of filter were the most suitable for each application and how these could be installed. After executing the experiments and evaluate the results we recommend to use a specific filter for each application.
