The purpose of my thesis has been to examine the public debate in daily newspapers about children in 1882. For material I have used newspapers Dagens Nyheter and Aftonbladet from the year 1882. My study is based on a regulation concerning public schools from 1882 and a labour law concerning child labour from 1881. I have also examined other articles that focused on children to get an overview of what the papers wrote about them. With the articles I found in the Dagens Nyheter and Aftonbladet I have made a quantitative content analysis. As a method for the content analysis, I have used text analysis as a tool. As a result of my study I found a total of 228 articles about children and of those 82 dealt with the elementary school regulation and the child labour law in various ways. The other articles concerning children discussed issues such as how to raise your children, charity questions and accidents and crimes involving children. These articles were written from a perspective where society showed concern over the children's environment. Often the articles expressed great confidence and trust in the public schools as educators and as a place for learning and supervision..

Denna uppsats handlar om referatskrivande i gymnasieskolan och syftet har varit att undersöka hur en grupp på 20 elever, som just börjat kursen Svenska 1 på ett yrkesförberedande program, klarar att skriva genren referat efter given instruktion. Eleverna har fått sina instruktioner kring hur ett referat ska skrivas av sin lärare och de har med hjälp av dem och skriftliga instruktioner i läroboken Svenska A, där källtexten Samarbeta för att överleva har hämtats, skrivit varsitt referat som sedan undersökts.Resultatet innefattar hur eleverna har gjort med de typiska drag som nämns i instruktionen: referatannonsering, referatmarkörer, bearbetning av text till egna ord o.s.v. Detta presenteras i huvudsak kvantitativt med hjälp av diagram som sedan kommenteras. Några av dragen har eleverna använt sig av utan problem, så som referatannonsering och referatmarkörer, men av de 20 eleverna har bara 1 med alla de moment som har krävts om man hårdrar det, annars 2 stycken. 9 av eleverna bearbetar sin text så att majoriteten av innehållet är egenformulerad text.Som slutsats ges råd om att eleverna behöver få hjälp och tid att träna sig i att skriva med egna ord och med att se vad de själva gör med texten och hur det bör se ut för att vara tillräckligt omskrivet för att vara refererande text. .

In recent years, the Swedish railway track system has been neglected in terms of capacity and maintenance. To adapt the existing system to current traffic load there is a great need for extensive improvement and maintenance. Shortcomings are especially occurring on older embankments running over soft subgrades. To select the most suitable method for reinforcement of the embankment, it is important to evaluate different solutions from a life cycle cost perspective. In long-term perspective, it is often shown that a method with low investment cost causes a higher maintenance cost and a shorter technical lifetime.

The purpose with this thesis is to analyse images in the confirmationbook Via Mystica from a gender perspective. By using two different ways to analyse the pictures, a content analysis and a semiotic picture analysis, the result was as follows: The pictures of men an women fortifies the construction of gender. The girls in the pictures are represented as caregivers and comforters, while the boys are represented as strong and tough. The four pictures from the semiotic picture analyses showed how easy it was to categorise the men and the women in the photos in opposing stereotypes. The women are percieved as weak and submissive while the men were either strong criminals or a strong hero.

I denna uppsats undersöks elva nybörjarelevers grammatiska utveckling under de tolv första veckorna. Den grammatiska utvecklingen analyseras utifrån tre modeller för grammatisk utveckling, Pienemanns processbarhetsteori, performansanalys och Axelssons nominalfras-modell. Fem texter från varje deltagare analyseras. Syftet är att undersöka hur långt på de tre olika nivåskalorna deltagarna når efter tolv veckor. I enlighet med processbarhetsteorin klarar alla deltagare nivå 3 och två deltagare presterar nivå 4; en av dem vid två tillfällen och en av dem vid ett tillfälle.

Sveriges Radio stores their data in large archives which makes it hard to retrieve specific information. The sheer size of the archives makes retrieving information about a specific event difficult and causes a big problem. To solve this problem a more consistent use of metadata is needed. This resulted in an investigation about metadata and keyword genera-tion.The appointed task was to automatically generate keywords from transcribed radio shows. This included an investigation of which systems and algorithms that can be used to generate keywords, based on previous works.

Through a method of qualitative content analysis based on questionnaires, the aim is to examine what the older generation thinks about today's media, how they use them, and whether there are differences in groups according to age and previous work.The study selected theories bases on Marc Prenskys idea of ??digital natives, digital immigrants and Everett M Rogers book on "Diffusion of Innovation". These theories take up the difference on digital natives and digital immigrants and the spread of new technological ideas takes place through communication over different channels in time among causes people in a social system.The result of the study shows that many older people are good at making use of today's media, but also that many may feel alienation of today's media society. Development has proceeded rapidly in recent years and for the older generation it's sometimes hard to keep up.The conclusion of the study is that the older generation may need more help to discover how today's media can facilitate everyday life and enrich it with more communication despite the fact that it takes place through a screen..

Purpose: The purpose of this thesis is to analyse the process of technology sourcing within firms active in the CRT-market. The primary focus of the study is the motives, risks and problems associated with technology sourcing, to construct key learnings for organisations consider undertaking this way to access research and development or those organisations that are already operating in the CRTmarket. Method: As method has abduction been used. The empiric material of the thesis is based on qualitative research in form of interviews in a conversational manner. For correct interpretation and understanding a hermeneutics approach has been used.

Detta arbete undersöker hur information kan författas och hanteras genom en produktionskedjas olika medier och aktörer med medvetenhet om dess destination och utan att innebörd förvrängs. Vidare om en instruktion för författande kan underlätta författarprocessen samt att öka användarupplevelsen av producerad text. För att svara på forskningsproblemet utförs en teoretisk analys på litteratur förenlig med interaktionsdesign som mynnar i 35 stycken riktlinjer för design av talad text. Vidare genomförs en målinventering med tre textförfattare och med 13 museibesökare. Med utgångspunkt i framtagna riktlinjer och resultat av målinventering skapas en skrivinstruktion.

This thesis is about the bookmobile service in Sweden of today. The purpose is to examine how the staff motivate the existence of the bookmobile. Other purposes are to study the goals of the service, to describe ?daily life? of the bookmobile, examine the changes of the service during the years and discuss possible changes in the future. The study is based on interviews with thirteen staff members from six Swedish communities, of both rural and urban character.

The aim of this paper is to examine which attitudes and experiences teachers have around the wide text concept, which is found in the course plan for the Swedish subject, and to find out which function films have in their teaching. The starting point of the paper?s theoretical part is the Swedish subject?s course plans and current research concerning the wide text concept and film in teaching. In order to achieve the formulated aim, qualitative interviews have been performed with three Swedish teachers active in the later years of compulsory-school.The result shows that there are divided opinions of the actual meaning of the concept. However the three teachers agree that film has something to enrich the teaching of the Swedish language and they are for most part positive to using film in their teaching.

Uppsatsen avser undersöka vilka variabler som kan påverka sannolikheten för att ett aktieåterköp sker givet ett bemyndigande. Under år 2007 fick 93 stycken bolag bemyndigande av bolagsstämman att få utföra ett återköp av aktier. Av dem valde 59 % att utföra det. Vi inleder uppsatsen med att förklara teorier som kan ligga till grund för motiv till att utföra aktieåterköp. Därefter formulerar vi hypoteser som avser pröva teorierna.

The purpose with this essay is to analyze how football clubs can use Internet in sense of creating stronger relations towards their supporters and build an excellent experience before and after a specific football game. We have used the Swedish football club Kalmar FF as a role model throughout the essay. The techniques of the modern world are escalating and the World Wide Web tends to be more important in the way of creating experiences and relations. The essay is based on a qualitative research method which is based on and contains four independent interviews. The persons have been chosen by us for their knowledge in the specific subject.

Problems:How would a decision model that takes into account more aspects and dimensions than just the financial aspect look for smaller service compa-nies? What aspects are important to consider in such a decision model?Purpose:The purpose of this master thesis is to develop a decision model based on previous research, to improve decision making in smaller service com-panies ? by considering perspectives that traditional investment calcula-tions ignore.Method:The study was qualitative and was based on both primary and secondary data. As data collection method for the development of the model we used literature search on previous research. The study?s primary data consisted of responses from five smaller service companies.
