In the electronic industrials, power control of AC motors is commonly used. For example power control of a washing machine motor, a vacuum cleaner motor or a coffee machine motor. The company Rejlers Ingenjörer AB has many projects where power control of AC motors is included. A prototype card for this task can save time and money for the company in the future and this is the reason for this thesis.The motors are power controlled by a TRIAC and control of the trigging pulses to the TRIAC. This card is modularly built and can easily be adapted for future projects where the power control of AC motors are included.The prototype card can be used as a subsystem in a larger electronics projects or as it is in lab environment for testing and evaluating new motors..

The aim of this masters thesis is to examine how daily encounters between the Danish public libraries and the library-users called ethnic minorities are described within the public library field. Danish public libraries have been assigned to play a larger role in societys strive towards integration of immigrants and refugees. Within Danish politics I find an emphasis on the importance of maintaining Danish culture, but it is rarely expressed if ethnic minorities are, can or should be a part of it. Theoretical and methodological starting points are hermeneutics and text-analysis. My theoretical framework is research about international migration and ethnic relations IMER.

Lumilos is a work investigating the possibilities to use light and color in an interactive design context. I have explored different light sources and compared them to each other and given a short description of the history of light and how it has been developed during the industrialization in the western world. I have also investigated what is currently done in the field and summarized that with examples in the categories passive-, colored-, material- and interactive light. The conclusion is that working with interactive color and light is a hard task. There are many different angles to take into account such as personal likings and earlier experiences that is uncontrollable by the designer. Yet there are many possibilities and light is a material that is moldable in many forms. I have put the knowledge about light and color into practice and developed an interactive light wall that is visualizing energy consumption with the use of different colors of light and animations.

The purpose of this thesis was to design an electrical system for use in a ballistic test at the Swedish National laboratory of forensic science (SKL). The detector unit would use four main parts: coilsystem, transmitter, reciever and indicator. The coilsystem would be based on a balanced system using three coils. One that creates a magneticfield and the other two will sense the differences when a metallobject is in the coilsystem. This report starts out by investigating possible solutions for this specific task followed by a description of the physics that the metaldetector use.

I studien undersöks om det finns något samband mellan kön och hurförfattarens åsikter uttrycks i elevtexter. Kvantitativa metoder användsför att undersöka den relativa användningen av adverb med förstärkandefunktion av författarens åsikt, eller direkt kommenterande adverbsom uttrycker åsikt. Materialet som används för undersökningen äruppsatser i svenska från det nationella provet i svenska. De statistiskaresultaten visar att flickornas texter innehöll färre förstärkande elleråsiktsut-tryckande adverb jämfört med pojkarnas texter. Den individuellavariationen är stor, men det finns en klar tendens att pojkarna använderfler förstärkande uttryck än vad flickor gör i sina texter.

I uppsatsen undersöks om läsarens upplevelse av en litterär text i lättläst version skiljer sig från upplevelsen av originalversionen. Där undersöks också vilka bearbetningar som gjorts i den lättlästa versionen samt kopplingar mellan bearbetningar som gjorts och skillnaderna i läsarens upplevelse mellan versionerna.Som utgångspunkt för undersökningen ligger tidigare forskning kring läsares upplevelser och tolkning av litterära texter. En av utgångspunkterna för undersökningen av de bearbetningar som gjorts i den lättlästa versionen var begreppet adaptation, vilket redogörs för i forskningsöversikten.Denna studie utgår från två undersökningar, en analytisk och en empirisk undersökning. Den analytiska undersökningen visar att omfattande textbearbetning av typerna strykning, tillägg, utbyte och omstrukturering gjorts i den lättlästa versionen. Som utgångspunkt för den empiriska undersökningen ligger frågor som berör både innehållsmässiga och språkliga aspekter och som syftar till att undersöka läsarens upplevelse av berättelsen.

Throughout the years the Swedish local history societies have collected a large quantity of material, consisting of photos, documents and items, among others. As the society has become more computerized, the need has increased for these collections to become digitalized. This is a way to make their media more easily accessible to the general public, but also to easily be able to archive and preserve for example photos and videos electronically.This thesis concerns itself with the work we have done for the local history society of Nyed in Molkom. The task set before us consisted of creating both a website for the society, and a reliable database from witch the website draws its information. This project allows anyone with administrator privileges to upload new files and any additional information.

Syftet med denna uppsats är att identifiera den mest effektiva egenskapen av en text eller sida för att uppnå visuell hierarki, som är ett verktyg för att få det önskade flödet av uppmärksamhet i en sida eller webbsida genom att ge vissa element en viss vikt i kontrast, storlek och placering. Vi vill ge en möjlighet för vidare forskning snarare än att ge en slutsats som ger ett slutgiltigt svar på frågeställningarna. Det finns fler sätt att manipulera text för att uppnå önskad visuell hierarki men vi valde de vanligaste. Detta arbete är baserat på ett experiment som görs på 50 deltagare med ett onlinefrågeformulär och tre självgjorda bilder där vi kan utvärdera resultaten, jämföra dem med andra teorier och beräkna den mest effektiva uppmärksamhetsgivaren. Vi har också utvecklat en hypotes om vad resultatet kommer att visa.

I detta examensarbete intresserar vi oss för gymnasielärares bildanvändande i undervisningen. Att dagens samhälle präglas av bilder gör det viktigt för skolan och undervisningen att aktivt förhålla sig till bildmediet. Det faktum att skolans undervisning idag till stora delar baseras på text gör att vissa elever missgynnas. För vissa elever stimulerar en bild lärandet bättre än en text.Syftet för examensarbetet är att undersöka hur lärare i gymnasieskolan använder bilder i undervisningen, vilka syften de har och vilka erfarenheter de gjort av bildanvändandet. Undersökningen bygger på elva intervjuer med gymnasielärare.

This research project is about how the subjects` art and music has been described under the 20th century in the Swedish school until today. The purpose with this research project is to do a text analysis that describes these subjects now and the last century, to illustrate the differences between today and the last century. Hence the size of this subject I have chosen some random samples out of the 20th century until today. I started to take these random samples from the first lyric I found about these subjects, and continued with these random samples in other lyrics from the middle of the 20th century until the year 2006. I just took these random samples from what I had found because I did not found some lyrics from earlier period of the 20th century.

The aim of this master thesis is to examine the identity of librarians. We have done this by conducting a text analysis where we have analysed texts produced by DIK, the major union of librarians, and by Library and Information Science departments in Sweden. The material we have analysed is texts produced in the aim of introducing and marketing the librarian occupation and education. The aim of this study is to find out how the identity of the librarian is expressed in this material. We have conducted the text analysis by adopting the critical discourse analyst Norman Fairclough´s theories.

På vilket sätt framställs Rinkeby ? Kista som en otrygg plats av politiker och tjänstemän jämfört med de boendes? Och hur ser de boende på politikerna och tjänstemännens trygghetsplanering? Dessa är frågeställningarna som vår studie undersöker. Metoden har bestått av två delar: text- och videoanalys samt kvalitativa intervjuer av både beslutsfattare och medborgare i stadsdelen. Teorierna som har legat till grund för vår analys är Foucaults diskursteorier, Ristilamis forskning om förortsdiskursen samt Stigendals teorier om sociala levnadsförhållanden.Text- och videoanalyserna och de kvalitativa intervjuerna har visat oss att politikernas och tjänstemännens bild av trygghetssituationen i stadsdelen har varit annorlunda gentemot medborgarnas perspektiv. Denna skillnad ligger till stor del i deras olika tolkningar av begreppet trygghet som kortfattat kan uttryckas som att beslutsfattarna har en snävare, säkerhetsbaserad syn på trygghet medan medborgarna generellt inkluderar fler aspekter såsom den socio-ekonomiska situationen.

The task of making a correct application for B- activities is the foundry time consuming task. Information and facts concerning your entire business activity shall be attached into a description of environmental consequences, which will be the basis for the decision making whether the activities shall be granted a permission to practise environmentally hazardous actions or not. When the Environmental Act were established 1999, the permission process became more extensor. With this study I want to give an insight about how these applications are made. The methods I have used to collect information are a study literature where the Environmental Act has been the focus, and qualitative interviews with two County Administrative Board. I used the Environmental Act to understand why permission is needed and the interviews to give me insight in how the work is done. My conclusion is that it is very unusual that an application is granted without complements.

This study examines in which way literature is presented in four schoolbooks for the Swedish senior high school of today, compared to descriptions and selections in Swedish universities. The study covers two basic schoolbook categories used in the teaching of Swedish and comparative literature: anthologies and textbooks.The four anthologies structures and their joined canon are presented, and the text canon of 12 common writers is studied and compared to the corresponding text canon in the universities selection of texts to main courses in comparative literature. The four textbooks are analysed by close reading of the presentations of four different writers and their works, where the textbooks for the Swedish senior high school are viewed through the glass of literary guides used in Swedish universities.The study also analyses what literary perspective is present in the Swedish school principles for education in literature and display, through earlier didactic studies, a sketch of the classroom reality of education in literature.The study finds that the examined schoolbooks for the Swedish senior high school tend to, not only shorten the text length and amount of texts but also, simplify the selection and presentation of the writers production. This leads to certain fixed and, in some cases, almost stereotyped ?roles? that are assigned to the writers and limits their production.

Med utgångspunkt att lärare upplever elevers läsförståelse som svår att bedöma är syftet med denna studie att konkretisera det komplexa begreppet läsförståelse. Jag har tagit hjälp av läsförståelseforskning för att kunna återge en samlad bild av begreppet läsförståelse. Ett andra syfte är att försöka se hur begreppet läsförståelse förhåller sig till litterär analys och tolkning. Genom att ställa läsförståelseforskningens definition av läsförståelse mot en berättande text försöker jag förstå vad begreppet betyder och innebär i praktiken. För att kunna göra detta har jag utfört en litteraturanalys samt konstruerat ett läsförståelsetest på den berättande texten.
