Syftet med denna uppsats är att ta reda på hur olika bildmedier berörs och vilken funktion de fyller i läroböckerna BRUS#02 och Svenska impulser 2 i ämnet svenska för gymnasiet. De frågor jag utgått från är följande:Hur behandlas olika bildmedier, såsom bilder, film, tv-serier och dator-/tv-spel, i läroböckerna?I vilka sammanhang hänvisas det till bildmedier?Vilken funktion fyller bildmedier i läroböckerna?Hur kommenteras läroböckernas bilder i texten?Bildmedier berörs framför allt genom olika uppgifter eller frågor till eleven, som kopplas till den text eller det tema som läroboken behandlar. I sekundärtexten nämns bildmedier i mycket liten grad, vilket innebär att böckerna enbart innehåller mycket lite fakta om bildmedier. Den klart största kategorin är Bildmedier i syfte att knyta an till texten eller temat.

Applying this method is also done through using a model presented by Norman Fairclough. This model belongs to the tradition of critical discourse analysis.

The purpose of this study is to investigate how important computers are for text production in upper secondary school level, and to find out what attitudes some students have towards computers in writing classes. I have let 44 students in the Swedish gymnasium course Swedish B write an argumentative essay. Half of the group wrote using paper and pencil, and the other half used computers. The essays were graded, and the language and length of the texts were analyzed. The students also filled in a questionnaire with questions on computer aided writing classes.The results showed that the texts that were written with computers contained a significant larger amount of words and fewer spelling mistakes.

The aim of the study was to look at the differences in groups in Karlskrona Kommun in comparison to a larger population of work-groups in Sweden. The instrument used was the Team Diagnostic Survey developed by Ruth Wageman, J. Richard Hackman and Erin Lehman (2005) in order to diagnose the strengths and weaknesses in work-groups, as well as explore the group?s behaviours and effectiveness. The results show that there was a significant difference between the Karlskrona Kommun groups and the larger population of Swedish groups in the following areas: stable, clarity, challenge, diversity, whole task, resources and availability..

Syfte: Mitt syfte med denna uppsats är att utifrån Michelinguidens kriterier undersöka hur restauranger i Stockholm som har stjärnor i guiden drar nytta av sin ?stjärnstatus? i sina presentationer av restaurangerna på respektive webbplats.Teori: De teoretiska utgångspunkterna är visuell retorik, semiotik, multimodalitet samt identifikation.Metod: Jag har undersökt vad som sägs, både genom text och bild, på respektive restaurangs hemsida. Jag har sedan satt det mot bakgrund och de frågeställningar jag hade och därmed även mot de kriterier Michelinguiden använder sig av i sin bedömning av restauranger.Slutsats: Respektive restauranger uttrycker sin ?stjärnstatus? ? men på lite olika sätt. Vissa väljer att göra det mer genom bild och andra genom text.

Betyder det att olika slags medier är vanligt förekommande i svenskundervisningen, och särskilt i litteraturundervisningen?Den här uppsatsen behandlar omständigheterna kring de textmedier som man väljer i litteraturundervisningen och ämnar besvara följande frågor:? Vilka begrepp och uttryck nämns i kursplanen i svenska i Lgr 11 och hur används de?? Vilken betydelse lägger en svensklärare i dessa begrepp och uttryck och hur används de generellt?En analys av kursplanen i svenska, fokuserad på begreppsanvändning i anknytning till litteraturundervisning, lägger grunden som sedan byggs vidare på med en undersökning av en yrkesverksam svensklärare och hennes elever, samt en utforskning av hur utvalda begrepp används utanför skolans värld.Forskningen visar att det sätt begrepp används på i kursplanen gör det svårt för multimodala texter att ta plats i svenskundervisningen, trots påståendet att ?det vidgade textbegreppets? innebörd fortfarande är viktigt. Men studien visar också att det finns fler faktorer än bara kursplanen som influerar vilka texter som väljs ut till att användas i klassrummet.

The following essay is a study of the theatre-play Min Arm, a translation and performance by Per Lasson for Fria Teatern in Stockholm 2009-2010. Actor, director and playwright Tim Crouch wrote the original script My Arm in English in 2003.With basis in intermedial theory, as defined by Jörgen Bruhn, as well as Hans-Thies Lehmann?s theory on post-dramatic theatre this study investigates the meaning-building processes in Min Arm as a theatrical performance. Concepts of the difference between stage play and performance text are borrowed from and inspired mainly by Eli Rozik?s Generating Theatre Meaning.

Our purpose is to analyse three different epistemological discourses that exist in the social practice, Library and Information Science LIS, using the strategy for interpretation from the mimesis model by Paul Ricoeur and the terms from the critical discourse analysis by Norman Fairclough. The aim is also to explore there different views of knowledge organisation. We review previous research involving epistemology, knowledge organisation and discourse analysis in LIS. These show that there are many different epistemological standpoints and that later research has shown a more critical and sceptical state of knowledge organisation than earlier traditional positivist ideals. Discourse analysis is described as an important theory and method in LIS.

This thesis describes teh solution of two problems regarding safety on powered lawnmowers; protectning the users from injury when using the lawnmower in slopes, and when cleaning the cutting blade.The task was carried out through initial studies on a representative lawnmower. A generation of ideas followed with an evaluation to select the best solution. The winning concept was further developed to reach acceptable performance. The word resulted in a functioning prototype utilising an original way of detecting inclinations without incorrect signals. My essay aims to explore, "What image is conveyed by the stone mason's life and work on Korpåsberget". In my essay I have been working with respondent interviews to examine the purpose. I've been trying to get interviewees to talk freely, but have also had a number of indicative questions for support. In order to process and understand the interviews, I also have a part in the essay aiming to provide background information to the stone industry in Bohuslän, an area along the westcoast in Sweden, and foremost in the area of Bovallstrand.The text discusses the stone industry's development in the area, its development and the time until the stone industry at large was closed. As for the stone industry in Bovallstrand I have chosen to focus on the largest quarry in society, namely the Korpåsberget. The background text also briefly covers stonecutter?s lives and work.

The purpose of this Bachelor thesis is to examine how user-friendly the OPAC of the Märsta public library is considered to be.Theoretical basis are HCI and Allwoods definition of usability. Issues are: Is the OPAC suited to its task? Is the OPAC user-friendly? How well does a user accept the OPAC? and What degree of competence is shown by users of the OPAC? The source material consists of six interviews in the form of .avi files. The method I have chosen is qualitative semi-structured interview form. The result is that, based on Carl Martin Allwood?s defini-tion and with exception for the using of help-resources, the usability of Märsta?s library OPAC can be considered less good..

Denna studie inriktar sig mot läsförståelseundervisning och vikten av att förstå läst text. Studiens syfte är att undersöka lärarnas uppfattning om hur undervisning i läsförståelse bedrivs i grundskolan respektive grundsärskolan. Genom att använda den deskriptiva aspekten på intervjuer försöker vi påvisa både fakta och mening utifrån respondenternas svar. Vi har använt oss av @ografi som undersökningsmetod. Detta innebär att insamling av rådata sker genom intervjuer via mail. Svenska elevers läsförståelse har försämrats det senast decenniet vilket framkommer i den internationella undersökningen PISA 2009.

This report describes how a syringe pumpwas developed for Q-linea AB inUppsala Science Park as a bachelor´sthesis at Uppsala University. Thepurpose of the syringe pump is toreplace existing pumps in one of Qlineasdosage instruments. The reasons for whythe pumps are replaced are that they arebig and heavy. Therefore the task was todesign a smaller and lighter syringepump.The goal of the project was to create aprototype of the design that met themechanical requirements posed. När allt fler produkter blir bärbara, t ex handdatorer och mobiltelefoner, innebär det även att dessa har blivit mindre. Ytan där text och liknande presenteras blir då även den mer begränsad. Läsning kan ses som en komplex kognitiv process med många ingående delar, bland annat tolkning, förståelse och ögats fysiska funktion. Dessa ingående processer begränsas när ytan texten presenteras på är mycket liten. För att motverka detta har alternativa sätt att presentera text på tagits fram, så kallad dynamisk textpresentation.
