En läsande klass är ett är ett välanvänt, men också mycket kritiserat material, som ska träna svenska elever i läsförståelsestrategier. För att träna dessa strategier finns det 800 planerade lektioner med tillhörande texter. Syftet med denna uppsats är att analysera nio av de texter som är ämnade för årskurserna 1 till och med 3 för att titta på progressionen i materialet inom årskurserna och mellan dem. Analysen är gjord utifrån tre metoder. Den första med ett fokus på ordens och meningarnas längd, den andra med ett fokus på satserna i texterna och den tredje med ett fokus på i vilken utsträckning texterna talar till läsaren.

Forskning har visat att godkända elevtexter ofta underkänns av objektiva bedömare. En allmän uppfattning är även att lärare ofta tenderar ge otydliga kommentarer i elevtexter, vilka inte preciserar elevens utvecklingsområden. Vårt syfte var mot denna bakgrund att undersöka om en grammatikanalys kunde fungera som bedömningsunderlag och att analysen kunde precisera textens styrkor och svagheter. Genom ett samarbete med två skolor samlade vi, under höstterminen 2011, in och analyserade totalt tio betygsatta elevtexter från elever i årskurs nio. I vår grammatikanalys analyserade vi elevtexternas nominalkvot, nominalfraser, fundament, bisatser och satsförkortningar.

The purpose of this thesis is to shed light on a present trend of professionalization in Swedish local environmental politics, which have recently seen a decline in active participation of the citizens in favor of an increased governmental regulation. With the aim to closer investigate this relatively new phenomenon, the paper is a qualitative single case-study of environmental policies in the Swedish municipality of Karlskrona. In this case, the municipality is obviously balancing between regarding the interests of the national level and the interests of its own citizens at the same time. This motivates the use of system-theory, and relates to the classical political paradox between participation and efficiency which is also a present theme in the paper.This text-analysis based on interviews with personnel and documents from the municipality shows a visible trend of professionalization in the local politics of the municipality of Karlskrona, from a large grade of participation and a strong bottom-up approach in the days of Agenda 21 to now being more strongly top-down defined by national environmental objectives and principally operated on a professional level..

Denna uppsats belyser på vilka sätt etnocentrism och kommersialism kommer till uttryck i analyserat resejournalistiskt undersökningsmaterial. Med hjälp av metoden kritisk lingvistik har utvalda svenska textreportage analyserats för att finna underliggande värderingar som kommersialism och etnocentrism bidragit till. Varje textanalys kompletteras med en mindre bildanalys. Studien är komparativ och jämförelser sker dels mellan dagstidning och magasin, dels över en tidsperiod av 20 år. Frågeställningar som besvaras är vilka uttryck finns för etnocentrism respektive kommersialism i de utvalda reportagen samt finns skillnader i tendenser mellan dagspress och magasin och hur har det utvecklats över tid.

Syftet med studien är att undersöka vilken inverkan det könsneutrala pronomenet hen har på människor. Tre frågeställningar användes ?påverkas attityden till författaren när pronomenet hen används i text??, ?hur upplevs den språkliga kvalitén när författaren väljer att använda pronomenet hen??, ?är en text med hen mer påverkande än en text utan hen??.
