The object of this two years master's thesis has been to study a specific genre of personal archives by examiningthe archives of nine parents who have lost one or several infants. Using internet-based methods, (e-mail, Skypeand digital photographs), I have conducted qualitative research using a general interview guide technique. Usingresearch from archival theory as well as other fields, my material has been arranged and analysed according tothemes and recurring thoughts picked up from my informants during the interviews.My main theoretical aid has been that the role of parent who has lost a child is the starting point for the creationof the personal archives. Another important theory is my definition of the term ?document? as not dependent onmedium and format, but on usage: if an object has been used as a part of an archive, it is a document.

The aim of this study was to compare educational systems in Sweden, Czech Republic, Italy and Scotland. In the light of the Bologna Declaration signed in 1999, I was particularly interested in comparing social work educations in these four countries. Especially to clarify how far they have come to fulfill the goals of the common European educational policy.Central questions asked were: How do the educational systems look like in each of the four countries? How are the social work educations organized in each of them? In what ways do the social work educations differ? How can we explain such differences?Each country in this study represents a different welfare regime, and therefore I was challenged to find out if this has an impact on the implementation of the incentives of the Bologna Declaration. By studying various documents from the European Union, documents from each country and presentations of various social work programmes, I have come to the conclusion that the differences found mainly depends on the historical and socioeconomic traditions in the countries.

From autumn 2008 Sweden has reinstalled the Special Education Needs teacher education. For future special education teachers and active teachers in the field, it is important to know the history and be aware of future visions to create a good role for the Special Education Needs teachers. This study examines attitudes towards special education and Special Education Needs teachers amongst school principals and classroom teachers at seven schools in Umeå municipality. School principals were interviewed, and a survey was handed out amongst the selected General Education teachers. From this it appears that school principals have a picture of special needs education and Special Education Needs teachers' work that corresponds well with the objectives of the school's governing documents.

 AbstractMy curiosity of students' use of images for reading led me to seek knowledge of the students view on the text illustrations in the literature and through interviews. This study is about how pupils in the school year 2 experience reading, especially with images. The purpose is to investigate the significance of illustrations in reading for students in school year 2. I also want to find out how students see themselves as readers and how the survey material believes that the students comprehend reading. Eight children, both girls and boys have participated in the interview.

Projektet 00.00.00 är namnet på en bok om löpning som tar sin utgångspunkt i personliga erfarenheter. Syftet med projektet har varit att finna nya sätt att gestalta löpning på, där text och bild verkar i samspel. Stora delar av designprocessen har därför ägnats åt experimentell fotografering i olika miljöer. Bokens tre kapitel handlar om upptäckter, smärta samt identitet, där avgränsningen för examensarbetet har legat i det förstnämnda. Denna studiesyftar till att undersöka typer av relationer mellan modaliteterna skrift och bild som tillsammans bildar en text. Centrala begrepp så som multimodalitet, literacy och det vidgade textbegreppet behandlasi teoridelen och återkopplas till i diskussionen. Metoden som valts är en innehållsanalys av text med Unsworths (2006) analysverktyg som utgångspunkt. Femläromedel har analyserats varav två storböcker, två lillböcker och en läsebok. I ett första skede har typer av relationer undersökts i de olika läromedlen och därefter har en jämförande analys gjorts för att undersöka eventuellaskillnader, i linjemedsyftet.

In this essay I have examined text, speech and action in Chekhov's Three sisters, as well as how the characters express their wills in action and in speech. I have used different methods such as action analysis, the five W questions and BSI (background, situation and intention). These methods are similar to those actors use to uncover situatedness of characters and to find motivated and intentional patterns behind their actions.I have used these techniques to identify the plot, explore what happened before the plot begins and to read the text in terms of action. The aim was also to find the counter points where wills expressed in action are contradicted by wills expressed in speech. Using these methods I found that the characters in Three sisters manage their lives dreaming about the future or recalling the past, except the character Natasha.

I denna uppsats presenteras en studie kring hur engelska ord i en för övrigt svensk text påverkar läsarens uppfattning av texten och dess författare. Två gymnasieklasser har fått läsa en text vardera, en helsvensk text med enbart svenska ord och en engelskinfluerad text som innehåller mer engelska lånord. Texterna är identiska förutom gällande just ordvalet. De har därefter fått svara på samma enkät som efterfrågade hur tillförlitlig, modern, intressant samt lätt- eller svårläst de har ansett att texten var. I enkäten ombads även eleverna att fylla i hur stort förtroende de kände för textförfattaren, hur gammal de trodde att hen var, samt om de trodde att hen var kvinna eller man.

Aims: Patient associations have been around for some time and research has shown that such associations can influence society, politics and how diagnoses are thought of. This study is a comparative analysis of two patient associations in Sweden. The first association called Attention represents people diagnosed with neuropsychiatric disorders such as ADHD. The other association called RSMH represents people diagnosed with mental illness such as depression. The aim of this study is to explore the social and political agenda of these associations and to explain their relation to biological, psychological and social models of explanation.Method and theory: The method used was a qualitative document analysis using documents produced by the associations themselves as well as documents from media and politics.

The distributioncentral of Stadium has an area of 31,6 acre and is being build in Herstadberg in the region of Norrköping. It is Mattssons Fastighetsutveckling (Mattssons Real-estate development) who also has ordered the building. They will also take care of the operation and support of the distributioncentral. Peab has got the assignment as a total contractor and it is for them I have done my degree project.I have been drawing-up a description of the goods in the distributioncenter.
