Vårt informationstäta samhälle, som är fullt av texter och bilder, ställer krav på oss medborgare både i vårt privatliv och i vårt arbetsliv. Dessa samhälleliga krav innebär bland annat att det inte längre är tillräckligt att kunna läsa och skriva olika texter. Begreppet ?text? har fått en vidgad betydelse och omfattar idag exempelvis även bilder av olika slag.I förskolan och de tidigare åren i skolan, samt vid specialundervisning som exempelvis läs- och skrivsvårigheter används ett vidgat textbegrepp i undervisningen. I de lägre åldrarna är barns bilder en accepterad del av deras språk.

This essays aim is to investigate the possibilities of subjective interpretation of Lgr11, the Swedish curriculum for elementary school. The assignment that the Swedish authority Skolverket got in 2009, was to create a curriculum that would grant that the students achievements would not be influenced by any subjective opinions and that all elementary schools in Sweden will give an equivalent education. In the Government bill this is a theme throughout the text and the Minister of Education has also claimed that this document will leave very limited space for subjective reading and interpretation. He says that Lgr11, in contrast to the previous curriculim Lpo94, will clarify what the purpose of the different subjects is and on what grounds the assessment of the students should be based.The method used is the literary theories of reader ? response as they are expressed by Literarycriticist Stanley Fish.

Clarice Lispectors is one of Latin Americas most famous writers, and she wrote a number of books during her lifetime. Her novel Stream of Life (Água viva), which came out in 1973 and was translated into Swedish in 2007, is considered to be one of Lispectors most difficult texts to read. It consists of several fragments put together into one text; however the text has no traditional narrative or structure. It is the flow of moments that moves the text forward, as it is written down by the protagonist in the book.The primary aim of this essay is to examine how the protagonist in Stream of Life through different means, as the moment, the description, the word and the variations, creates an active participation in the formation of its identity. I will discuss the moment and its act of constructing the book?s circular structure, which is of importance.

In this thesis, the TEI (Text Encoding Initiative) encoding scheme is investigated as a system for storing metadata about manuscript material and 18th century first prints in the Swedenborg Archives at the Swedish Royal Academy of Sciences. The aim of the study is to test the functionality of TEI as a metadata system in cataloguing a special collection. Some criteria of functionality are formulated, and examples of encoded catalogue entries are described and analysed. It is demonstrated how descriptive metadata have been registered within the TEI header, while structural metadata have been recorded within the text element of the TEI file. On the whole, TEI is considered to be a functional tool that matches the present purposes.

In this project a LC-MS-method for the analysis of gamma-hydroxybutyrate, gamma-butyrolactone, 1,4-butanediol, amphetamine and methadone was developed.Initially, the efficiency of the ionisation of the analytes was evaluated with respect to the ionisation technique (ESI, APCI and APPI) and the composition of the mobile phase. In the next step a number of different columns was tested in order to find the one with the greatest potential for separation of the substances in question. Using the selected column, the separation was optimised by means of experimental design and the software The Unscrambler 7.8. The parameters studied were the flow rate, the column temperature and the mobile phase composition. The response variables were the resolution between the target compounds and the retention time of the last eluting compound.These experiments showed that, in order to obtain the best ionisation, the mobile phase should consist of 5 mM formic acid in water and acetonitrile.

Abstract:The purpose of this study is to get increased knowledge of how teachers motivate and teach youth about existential questions at junior highchool. My issue for this composition is to find out how ? and how much ? teachers in fact teach about existential questions in the religious education.I interviewed four teachers at junior highschool, with various experiences. One teacher had about thirty years of experience in teaching, and one teacher was quite young and unexperienced.The result indicates that the youth were interested in a lot of existential questions. The study also indicates the teachers view of youth?s identity-work and their existential questions.The resultat is compared with studies of Dahlin, Hartman and Sjödin..

Hur en texts typografiska utformning påverkar hur enkel den blir att läsa är en fråga som har sysselsatt forskare under lång tid. Förhoppningen har varit att få en bättre förståelse för hur läsning går till och hur man bäst bör sätta text för att underlätta för läsaren. Ett problem har dock varit att skapa medvetenhet om forskningens resultat bland dem som arbetar med att sätta text.Tanken med detta examensarbete var att skapa en överblick av forskningen, med inriktning på hur mikrotypografin, det vill säga den typografi som berör detaljer i textens utformning, påverkar läsbarheten i brödtext. Efter litteratursökningar valdes tio vetenskapligt publicerade empiriska studier på detta område ut. Artiklarna beskrevs och diskuterades med hänsyn till deras metodik och deras resultat.

The general purpose of this dissertation is to study picture communication in picture books and it addresses the following questions:What is the illustrator?s role in the process of making a picture book? What communicative qualities do pictures have in picture books and how do pictures interact with texts? What methods do illustrators use to visualize the meaning of stories in picture books?A genre analysis, a literature study and an interview of a professional illustrator has been conducted to answer the questions. I found that all objects that make up pictures, the arrangement, colours and shapes contribute to the meaning in diverse ways. Pictures also communicate in a different way than texts. An important difference between pictures and texts in the context of picture books is that pictures are more open for interpretation.

Attempts to place it in a larger framework against the background of late Vedic religion are, however, few, the rationalistic and ?tradition-challenging? appearance of the text having repeatedly been emphasized. But the doctrine contained in the text ? a cosmologic teaching on the three elements constituting the universe, each being characterized by a color (red, white, black) ? and their microcosmic counterparts in the human body, does have some clear affinities to the worldview of the Br?hma?as and ?ra?yakas, which posits a series of similar correlations (bandhu-) between macro- and microcosmos.

Syftet med den här studien är att ta reda på om eleverna skriver en annorlunda text på datorn än vad de gör för hand. På så vis kan studien även visa om datorn kan ha någon påverkan på elevernas skrivutveckling. Resultatet av en lingvistisk textanalys av antal ord, antal meningar, meningarnas genomsnittliga längd, antal långa ord, stavfel, utelämnade punkter, utelämnad stor bokstav efter punkt och användandet av ord med talspråk visade att eleverna skriver en annorlunda text på datorn än vad de gör för hand. Förutom att eleverna skrev en längre text på datorn innehöll den datorskrivna texten även fler ord, fler meningar, mindre andel stavfel, mindre andel utelämnade punkter och utelämnad stor bokstav efter punkt.Den handskrivna texten innehöll däremot en mindre andel ord med talspråk men en större andel långa ord. Däremot var det ingen direkt skillnad vad gäller meningarnas genomsnittliga längd..

The essay is an analysis of the theatrical and dramatic aspects to a playtext. Based on the production and manuscript Rhubarb by Maria Blom.With the essay I intend to answer the following questions: What happens to the manuscript Rhubarb during the transformation from being a dramatic text to becoming a theatrical text? What are the similarities and differences between reading a manuscript and watching the performance of a play?The essay is based on literature, two interviews with Maria Blom and the manuscript to Rhubarb by Maria Blom. Besides two versions of the script I also had the opportunity to watch videotaped material from the original production. BAKGRUND:Det finns en stor mängd litteratur kring problemlösning. Den litteratur vi tagit upp anser vivara den mest relevanta för vår undersökning. Vi har med tre artiklar som belyser detaktuella forskningsläget.SYFTE:Syftet med studien är att undersöka elevers sätt att lösa och tolka en problemformuleradmatematisk text i år 3.METOD:Eleverna i undersökningen har löst ett öppet matematiskt problem, därefter har vi genomfört17 barnintervjuer i år 3.RESULTAT:Utifrån vår analys fann vi tre strategier i elevernas lösningsmetoder. Vi har kallat dem försymbolstrategi, bildstrategi samt text- och sifferstrategi. Vi har också funnit att eleverna haranvänt olika räknemetoder i sina lösningar, dessa är addition, multiplikation och i ett falldivision..

Denna kandidatuppsats är en uppsats gjord på Programmet för Pedagogisk Mjukvaruutveckling vid Högskolan i Halmstad år 2004. Uppsatsen tar upp problemet med att presentera stora mängder text på små skärmar samt vad tidigare forskning framför om design mot dessa. Syftet med uppsatsen var att undersöka effekter som kan påverka läsförståelsen och läsbarheten vid läsande på handhållna datorer. Den litteratur vi använde bestod främst av artiklar inom området för design, framförallt design mot små skärmar. Den primärdata vi fick fram insamlades genom ett läsförståelse test med efterföljande djupintervju angående läsbarhet.
