Detta examensarbete handlar om hur olika bearbetningssätt för text fungerar för sina målgrupper. Syftet med studien är att jämföra språkliga faktorer i textbearbetningar på Tydlig svenska och Lättläst, samt att undersöka hur dessa faktorer upplevs av läsare med funktionsnedsättningar. Undersökningen består av två delar: kvantitativ textanalys och kvalitativa intervjuer. Textanalysen syftar till att lyfta fram särskiljande textuella drag i två bearbetningar på Lättläst och Tydlig svenska. Dessa textfaktorer ligger sedan till grund för fem intervjuer med representanter för de funktionsnedsättningar som ingår i målgruppen samt en kontrollgrupp.

Studiens syfte är att analysera två barnbokskaraktärer, Pippi Långstrump och Lilla Hjärtat, deras böcker och den debatt som efterföljt dem. Frågor som ställts är hur etnicitet konstrueras och beskrivs i barnbokslitteraturen. Samt vad som i huvudsak problematiserats i debattartiklarna, vilka idéer kring etnicitet som återfinns och vilka likheter och skillnader som finns mellan Pippitriologin och böckerna om Lilla Hjärtat. Barnböckerna är utgivna på 1940-talet respektive 2010-talet. Studien har genomförts med en text- och bildanalys av barnböckerna samt en idéanalys av debattartiklarna.

The purpose of this Bachelor thesis is to gain insight into themeaning of the mobile library for its users by investigatingwho the users are, how they use the mobile library, why theyuse the mobile library and what the users want from the bookbus service. The methods used are observations, surveystudy and qualitative interviews.The theoretical framework of the study is based onAndersson?s and Skot-Hansen?s model of the public librarywith its four different library profiles, together with PierreBourdieu´s lifestyle theory where habitus and the concept ofcultural capital are used to analyze the role of the book busin people?s lives.My conclusion is that the mobile library is very important toits users since reading is an important part of their lives andit gives them easy access to books of several genres. Themobile library also functions as a meeting place in the localcommunity and creates a link between urban and rural areas..

The objective of this study was to investigate how power relationships between journalists and politicians were shown in the fictional BBC tv-series ?The Hour?. We wanted to investigate how these power structures is narrated by the producers of the series and what impact the narration could have to the audiance of the 21th century.We choose to analyse a total of 12 scenes from all of the six episodes, which are all set in Britain during the beginning of the Suez Canal crisis in the 1950?s, all seen from a BBC editorial point of view.In our analysis we chose to use two different kind of methods, the first one was a situation analysis and the second one a text analysis. The situation method was useful to get a perception of the relations between the participants .The text analysis we used to analyse what was said in the tv-series and to interpret underlying motives.The fictional form necessitated a personalization of power structures, in the sense that each and every power was represented by a single character; political power was for instance represented by the character of Angus McCain.

Syftet med den här uppsatsen är att analysera läromedel som är publicerat på lektion.se och som har direkt anknytning till litteraturundervisning. Jag gör en kvalitativ textanalys av materialet och undersöker vilka frågor materialet ställer om litteraturen och hur uppgifterna är formulerade, för att därigenom undersöka vilken undervisningspraktik materialet speglar. I min teoretiska tolkning använder jag tre perspektiv på tolkning av text: sändarcentrerat perspektiv, textcentrerat perspektiv och läsar- och erfarenhetsbaserat perspektiv. Två andra centrala teoretiska begrepp är litterär kompetens och matchningsteknik. Jag kommer fram till att mycket av materialet är utformat med kontrollfrågor till de litterära texter som frågorna och uppgifterna riktar sig till.

The Sami people are a national minority in Sweden, but are also considered as native citizens of Sweden, Norway, Finland and Russia. The world has however a very limited knowledge about the Sami?s and their cultural background.The aim of this proposal is to examine six different history schoolbooks which depict the Sami people in Sweden. In addition, one of the key elements of this proposal is to understand how the selected literature represents the Sami people.Lastly, the proposal also seeks to review if the literature in the schoolbooks represents the elementary curriculum goals (Lpo94).The selected method was to do a text analysis of the literature and to illustrate that is presented in the reviewed schoolbooks. The text analysis is completed with an analysis of the illustrations and pictures that are presented in the selected schoolbooks.The key findings were that the review in majority of schoolbooks has stereotypical descriptions of the Sami people. The Sami people are generally depicted with the hut and the reindeer management in majority of the reviewed schoolbooks.The research about the Sami people is inappreciable in majority of the reviewed literature. In addition, the Sami people are often presented in connection with ?other? history, such as the silver ore in the mines or the territory dispute with settlers from the south of Sweden.

Vi använder oss dagligen av ett rikt bildspråk med hjälp av t ex metafor. Senaste forskning har visat att bildspråket har en stor betydelse i vårt sätt att tanka och kommunicera med varandra. Samtidigt är bildspråket betraktas som en slag avvikelse i vårt sätt att kommunicera och tänka som anser ske på en bokstavlig nivå. Jag blev intresserad av att utforska denna dikotomi och i en viss mån ville jag gestalta den i mitt projekt. Jag ville undersöka om det finns ett sätt som anses vara mest effektiv för att remediera en poetisk text till ett visuellt medium.Jag skapade två filmer med ett identiskt ljudspår som innehåller en musik komponerad för en poetisk högläsning.  Genom att förhålla mig till textens innehåll på olika sätt i skapandet av mitt bildmaterial försökte jag undersöka frågan och även utforska om manliga och kvinnliga deltagare skiljer sig åt i deras respektive mottagande av de två filmerna..

This bachelor thesis is a study about the change of the classificationsystems in Swedish libraries. The empirical data was collected through four qualitative interviews with both research and public libraries. The data was analyzed by the use of organizational theory based upon Joacim Hanssons book Libraries and identity: the role of institutional self-image and identity in emergence of new types of libraries. The empirical result points to a major change in how libraries and librarians look and work with their collections, it can also be said that the librarians do not seem to think that the users will be affected at all.The analysis was based on these issues: What positive and negative effects introducing DDC will there be on research- reflective public libraries?What will be the effects on the librarysector introducing the new classification system DDC?What will be the effects on the users introducing the new classification system DDC? .

Syfte: Mitt syfte med denna uppsats är att utifrån Michelinguidens kriterier undersöka hur restauranger i Stockholm som har stjärnor i guiden drar nytta av sin ?stjärnstatus? i sina presentationer av restaurangerna på respektive webbplats.Teori: De teoretiska utgångspunkterna är visuell retorik, semiotik, multimodalitet samt identifikation.Metod: Jag har undersökt vad som sägs, både genom text och bild, på respektive restaurangs hemsida. Jag har sedan satt det mot bakgrund och de frågeställningar jag hade och därmed även mot de kriterier Michelinguiden använder sig av i sin bedömning av restauranger.Slutsats: Respektive restauranger uttrycker sin ?stjärnstatus? ? men på lite olika sätt. Vissa väljer att göra det mer genom bild och andra genom text.

The purpose of this study is to investigate and describe the role of course books for teaching English to children at intermediate level of primary school in Sweden. The essay is based on a descriptive, qualitative method and interviews have been conducted with seven teachers in different schools, teaching English in year 4, 5 and 6.The result of the study shows that course books have considerably influence on the teaching of English in the schools who took part in this investigation. The participating teachers use a course book as main teaching material and almost everybody follows the traditional routine working with Textbook and complementary tasks in Workbook every week. They base their lessons on course books and use alternative teaching material mainly for fun activities, speaking practice and individualization. Even though all teachers rank speaking and listening as most important for new learners, it is reading which has the largest impact on their teaching.

This is a study of the novel Mes mauvaises pensées (2005) by the French writer Nina Bouraoui. I use an intertextual comparative method, where I read the novel against three intertexts: Marie Cardinal Les mots pour le dire (1975), the David Lynch movie Mulholland Drive (2001) and novels and photographies by Hervé Guibert. Main focus is on the relation between body and language. Using the psychoanalytic theories by Julia Kristeva I examine the melancholy of the narrator in Mes mauvaises pensées. The melancholic subject mourns a Thing which is the unrepresentable archaic mother.

Genom åren har debatten om hur män och kvinnor framställs och porträtteras i media handlat om vilka signaler dessa sänder ut till samhället, med tyngdpunkten på negativa aspekter kring hur framförallt bilden av kvinnan framhålls.I denna uppsats ges ett försök till att undersöka och granska hur föreställningar om genus uttrycks och produceras i text och i bild i livsstilsmagasinen Cosmopolitan och FHM. Cosmopolitan är ett medium som vänder sig till unga kvinnor i åldrarna 20-30 år medan FHM vänder sig till män i åldrarna 18-35.För att kunna identifiera den producerade bilden av genus, vad som är specifikt manligt respektive kvinnligt utgår uppsatsen från en teoretisk ram som behandlar maskulinitet och femininitet, identifikation, mediernas makt och stereotyper, samt genus i media. Som inspirationskälla står medieforskaren Anja Hirdman och hennes verk Tilltalande bilder - genus, sexualitet och publiksyn i Veckorevyn och Fib aktuellt.Uppsatsens genomförande vilar på en kvalitativ undersökning i form av en retorisk textanalys och en bildanalys. Som exempel står 20 artiklar som är hämtade från fyra olika utgåvor från respektive livsstilsmagasin under år 2006, där artiklar som på något sätt behandlar sexualitet och relationer har analyserats.Med utgångspunkt från det insamlade materialet, kopplat till den teoretiska ramen, har således vissa tendenser kunnat identifieras som visar på att det finns tydliga skillnader, men också likheter mellan livsstilsmagasinen. I Cosmopolitan konstrueras bilden av kvinnlighet utifrån ett manligt godkännande då hon i text och bild tenderar att visas upp i och skrivas om i förhållande till mannen.
