We are heading for a line, and its a fine one. This project is a dialogue between you and I; about the dialogue itself. The initial interest was to use literary text to address the visitor in the exhibition space. The purpose was to make man aware of its relation to others and narrative objects. I planned for the dialectical event in every descision.

This study discusses and examines the alternative teaching materials in religion class amongst seven teachers in Stockholm region. As religion is a complex subject to both learn and to teach it may be beneficial to use alternative texts to show the diversity of the subject. The aim of this study was to examine why teachers use news articles and other articles from daily magazines in their religion class. I also examined how the teachers motivated their choices of teaching materials. The study is qualitative and the empirical work was done by interviewing seven teachers in religion.

Not enough attention has been paid to the correlation between the failure of peacekeeping operations and the actual source of civil wars. This text is an attempt to fill that gap. Hence the question: under which conditions is it possible for peacekeeping operations to replace the responsibility of the state concerning the security aspects of the social contract? The outset of the text, using the theories of Robert Nozick, is a theoretical approach towards the founding of states, described as the merging of entities. The theory serves a purpose since it, in combination with identity, illustrates in what manner the glue of society occurs and the rallying around other kind of loyalties like clans and ethnicities.

En läsbarhetsalgoritm utvärderar en text och ger den ett numeriskt värde som anses återspegla hur lättläst textenär. Syftet med denna kandidatexamensuppsats är att utifrån en diskussion om läsbarhetsbegreppet och läsbarhetsalgoritmen LIX (läsbarhetsindex) ta fram alternativa läsbarhetsalgoritmer,för att därefter utvärdera om dessa kan bedöma läsbarhet bättre än LIX. Utvärderingen sker med hjälp av texter ur två grupper,för varje text i den ena gruppen finns en motsvarande text i den andra med ett liknande innehåll och komplexitet men med en språkmässig skillnad. Materialet som kategoriserats som mer lättläst består av texter som belönats medden så kallade Klarspråkskristallen som årligen delas ut till statliga organ, exempelvis Riksbanken, som gjort framstående insatser för att göra sina publikationer mer lättlästa.Gruppen med texter som kategoriserats som mer svårlästa består av motsvarande publikationer ifrån dessa organ från åren innan de tilldelats Klarspråkskristallen.Resultatet av vårt arbete visade att alla algoritmer i testet kunde bedöma vilken av texterna som var mer lättläst i majoriteten av fallen. I ett teckenrangtest med signifikansnivån 5 % gick det dock inte att förkasta hypotesenatt algoritmerna inte kunde avgöra skillnaden mellan texterfrån de två grupperna.

AbstractPurpose/Aim: To study how Piratbyrån argues for a free distribution of information and culture products and to find a possible ideological explanation for their argumentation.Method/Material: I have used a rhetorical analysis to study and describe Piratbyrån´s website, a website that promotes free distribution of information and culture products. I have done so to find out how Piratbyrån argues for a free distribution and to find out what ideological foundation their argumentation is based on.Main results: The main results of the study show that Piratbyrån uses a variety of rhetorical techniques depending on the subject and purpose of the analyzed text. Their main arguments both promote their own thesis and argue against the copyright industry. The main part of the argumentation is based on logical and factual arguments, but parts of it also rely on an emotional appeal to the reader?s heart in order to persuade.

This paper addresses the role of homework within the home and school environments using a qualitatively approach inspired by discourse analysis method and theory. The paper considers three newspaper articles to identify current attitudes and understanding regarding homework?s role. The paper?s structure brings results and analysis together allowing the discussion to be continuously extended and deepened.

Today the talk about global warming and climate change are on top of the public agenda. There for schools and schoolbooks also debate the issue of global warming. In a debate like that of global warming which is filled with uncertainties and so much political and economic interest, I find it interesting to study how these schoolbooks talk about the issue.In my study I have tried to analyze and compare how school materials for primary school discuss the phenomenon of global warming. I have compared two different types of schoolbooks.

Förutom själva spelandet ska sidan också ge gästen information om elgitarren och kringutrustning, med en del tekniska specifikationer, historik m.m. Elgitarrskolan är ett försök att sprida specifik kunskap genom att integrera flera olika medier till en fungerande enhet. Med hjälp av text, grafik, animationer, ljud, video och interaktiva element har jag försökt att göra informationen så lättillgänglig som möjligt och samtidigt intressant.

Syftet med mitt examensarbete var att belysa elevers uppfattningar av lärande i litteratursamtal. Genom att synliggöra lärandet ville jag fördjupa förståelsen för litteratursamtalets roll i utvecklingen av elevers läsförmåga. Jag valde en fenomenografisk forskningsansats vilket gav vissa förutbestämda val av metoder. Datainsamlingen bestod av 13 ostrukturerade, kvalitativa intervjuer med elever i skolår 1. Eleverna valdes ut på grund av sin tidigare erfarenhet av litteratursamtal.

Two weeks later, the police arrested the 24-year-old man that six month later would be sentenced to imprisonment for life for the murder of Anna Lindh. The main purpose of this essay is to examine how the man that murdered Anna Lindh was described in Aftonbladet and Expressen from the time of his arrest to the sentence of guilty. One part of the purpose of this essay is also to inquire how the Swedish evening press paid regard to the ethical publicity rules in their descriptions.

Thesis purpose: The purpose of the master thesis is to analyse the battle of meaning creation regarding the notion of smoking and to reveal the production of unequal power relations. The battle is fought by different stakeholders through means of language and the study focuses on the tobacco industry in Germany. Methodology: A critical discourse analysis is applied with a qualitative research strategy. Our data collection was inspired by grounded theory and is limited in scope through a relevant case within the context of smoking in Germany. Empirical data is collected by means of an internet based document study of publicly available texts.
