Talad prosa, rytmisk ramsa och sång är de tre olika medieringsformerna och dessa har agerat arbetsmetod i var sin grupp med förskolebarn. Resultatet visade att det fanns skillnader mellan medieringsformernas förmåga att få barnen att lära sig texten. Eftersom det är skillnad på att lära sig en text och att förstå en text har studien även undersökt om förmågan att förstå innehållet av texten varierar mellan grupperna. This thesis explores in which ways the portrayal of the event known as the Stockholm bloodbath has changed during the period 1869-1996. This is done through textbook analysis. In Sweden, history has been a school subject since the 17th century, and has throughout its history had a formative role in the Swedish school system. In the middle of the 19th century it was specifically stated that the aim was to help students nurture a sense of national pride and love of country. The aim of the study is to investigate how nationally loaded events have been portrayed in text books, as well as if and how the evolution of said textbooks reflect the evolution of the history subject as a whole.

The purpose of this study is the reports of Peak Oil in Swedish newspapers. In otherwords, how do the news portray or describe the concept and what sources are usedwhen writing articles. With this in mind, I have studied eight published articles in threeSwedish newspapers, Dagens Nyheter, Dagens Industri and Svenska Dagbladet. To studythese articles I've used a qualitative content analysis, as a method, or more specific aCritical Discourse Analysis (CDA). This method was chosen due to it's tools to examinethe text itself and to reveal the structures, unconscious meaning and power of words.Further more I have used theories as agenda-setting (including framing and priming),ideology and newsworthiness to complement the study.The result from the content analysis shows two evident ideologies, one with aneconomic perspective and the other with an environment perspective ? with resourcelimitation in mind.

The translation of culture-specific words and expressions as well as how to fully transmit the semantics and pragmatics of a text when translating are two things that often poses problems and challenges for translators. The strategies among which one can choose are many and the translation is more or less bound to lose something along the way. In this present essay, the Swedish comic album Prins Charles ka?nsla (2010) by Liv Stro?mquist and its French translation Les sentiments du Prince Charles (2012) have been studied. With the help of existing translation strategies, what is examined is initially what choices the translators have made and how this affects the French text.

In this study we compare Ekot with P3 Nyheter with a comprehension analytical perspective. The more traditional radio news program Ekot differs from the younger P3 Nyheter in a lot of aspects. One of them is that P3 Nyheter?s primary target group is young people between the ages of 20 to 34. Because of this, P3 Nyheter aim to make their news as adjusted to their young audience as possible.

My work is based on a Text analysis of media production of the female offender. I found it interesting how women were presented as victims rather than perpetrators. The media have in recent years grown tremendously and this also impacts on people and what is important. The notion of how a woman should be and how a female offender should be is extreme. The material for my work is articles found on the Internet in daily newspapers websites.

The study?s aim was to examine reading ability in secondary school students. The participants; 30 grade 7 students (13 years old) and 30 grade 8 students (14 years old) without literacy problems, and eleven grade 8 students whom either had documented literacy problems or received special education for it, were selected through convenience sample. Text comprehension was tested by three texts which are called the Skobigotexts. Three reading settings were applied: listening, silent reading and silent reading with textsupport.

This paper addresses the question about what role typography plays in the interpretation of a text. From three different handbooks in typography arguments are gathered and categorized in to three categories: roman types, san serif and others. Interviews with people from the graphic design area are also a part of the paper and are accounted for in the discussion part of the paper. Areas of theory are a broad hermeneutic view based on Hans-Georg Gadamers thoughts, which have sub categories such as: Michel Foucault?s theory about discourses, John Swales genre theory and Anders Björkvall?s thoughts on typography and multi-modal texts.

In the past year, Ozempic has been observed internationally, as well as in the Swedish press, due to its rapid rise in popularity, its off-label use for weight loss, and the ethical and societal debates surrounding availability and impact. The purpose of this study is to examine how Ozempic is portrayed in the four largest Swedish daily newspapers: Svenska Dagbladet, Dagens Nyheter, Expressen and Aftonbladet. The aim of the thesis is to identify the frames within which the drug is described to acquire knowledge of how it influences public perception of it. Every article published between the first of March until the first of November has been included in the study, if it bottoms in the defined phonomenon. The method used is a qualitative Text analysis in consideration of Entman?s framing theory, which is focusing on identifying dominant themes, problem definitions, proposed solutions, and the actors attributed responsibility in the coverage of Ozempic in Swedish press.

Abstract During object-oriented system development, programming should be preceded by analysis and design to assure that the system fulfils the demands of the customer and simplify during the development phase and documentation. When modeling the analysis and design phases, several different notations may be used. One of these is the UML (Unified Modeling Language) which this thesis will cover. The aim is to compare the use of the UML i practice versus what is said in the literature. The investigation is built upon interviews at different companies to receive their reflections about the UML.

The following inquiry begins with one simple question: who is the margin? In other words, what is the referent of the term margin? Is it possible for language to capture connotations of an intended and supposed reality beyond its own limits? My supposition is that margin is a valuable concept to critical studies of the hegemonic order and dominant culture in various contexts. It is therefore necessary to expose the term itself to a critical analysis by attempting to trace its position in different discourses. The intention is to illustrate that the term margin is not merely an abstraction, confined within the framework of intricate theoretical rhetoric.In a deconstructive analysis of Gender Trouble by Judith Butler and Can the Subaltern Speak? by Gayatri Chakravorty Spivak, based on the work of Jacques Derrida, I study the significance of the term margin and explore how the use or non-use of concrete examples affects the reception of both the term margin and ultimately the text as a whole.The study of these two texts reveals that some of the very same critique raised by Butler and Spivak is itself applicable to the authors? own theory production.

In this essay, I have sought to examine the state of exile perceived in Brodsky?s poems. Using Russian literary critic Viktor Shklovsky?s concept of defamiliarization, I have strived to illuminate the formal composition of this state ? its technique.

The aim of this Masters thesis is to examine the view of literature within Swedish governmental cultural policy. The main issue is to discover changes in attitude towards democracy, literature and library by comparing the attitudes in the governmental policy documents from the 1970s with the governmental policy documents from the 1990s. The theoretical starting point is Danish cultural policy researcher Dorte Skot-Hansens theories of the development of cultural policy in the Nordic countries. My method of analysis is a textual one, analysis of ideas and ideology, focusing on the aspect of signification of a text. The study has an effort of analysing the governmental policy in terms of idea and ideology.
