Forskning visar att inget presentationssätt är att föredra framför något annat. Dessa studier är enbart utförda på stora displayer. Går resultaten att applicera på små displayer? Syftet med detta examensarbete är att påvisa att fördelarna med att använda ett ikonbaserat gränssnitt är fler för en liten display än för en stor display samt att ikoner är det optimala presentationsättet för en liten display.

 AbstractMy curiosity of students' use of images for reading led me to seek knowledge of the students view on the text illustrations in the literature and through interviews. This study is about how pupils in the school year 2 experience reading, especially with images. The purpose is to investigate the significance of illustrations in reading for students in school year 2. I also want to find out how students see themselves as readers and how the survey material believes that the students comprehend reading. Eight children, both girls and boys have participated in the interview.

Projektet 00.00.00 är namnet på en bok om löpning som tar sin utgångspunkt i personliga erfarenheter. Syftet med projektet har varit att finna nya sätt att gestalta löpning på, där text och bild verkar i samspel. Stora delar av designprocessen har därför ägnats åt experimentell fotografering i olika miljöer. Bokens tre kapitel handlar om upptäckter, smärta samt identitet, där avgränsningen för examensarbetet har legat i det förstnämnda. Denna studiesyftar till att undersöka typer av relationer mellan modaliteterna skrift och bild som tillsammans bildar en text. Centrala begrepp så som multimodalitet, literacy och det vidgade textbegreppet behandlasi teoridelen och återkopplas till i diskussionen. In this essay I have examined text, speech and action in Chekhov's Three sisters, as well as how the characters express their wills in action and in speech. I have used different methods such as action analysis, the five W questions and BSI (background, situation and intention). These methods are similar to those actors use to uncover situatedness of characters and to find motivated and intentional patterns behind their actions.I have used these techniques to identify the plot, explore what happened before the plot begins and to read the text in terms of action. The aim was also to find the counter points where wills expressed in action are contradicted by wills expressed in speech. Using these methods I found that the characters in Three sisters manage their lives dreaming about the future or recalling the past, except the character Natasha.

I denna uppsats presenteras en studie kring hur engelska ord i en för övrigt svensk text påverkar läsarens uppfattning av texten och dess författare. Två gymnasieklasser har fått läsa en text vardera, en helsvensk text med enbart svenska ord och en engelskinfluerad text som innehåller mer engelska lånord. Texterna är identiska förutom gällande just ordvalet. De har därefter fått svara på samma enkät som efterfrågade hur tillförlitlig, modern, intressant samt lätt- eller svårläst de har ansett att texten var. I enkäten ombads även eleverna att fylla i hur stort förtroende de kände för textförfattaren, hur gammal de trodde att hen var, samt om de trodde att hen var kvinna eller man.

The purpose of this paper is to examine the narrative in You are a bad man, mr Gum! to be able to understand and explain the intermedial aspects of the work. I assume an intermedial, narratological and reception theory perspective in my analysis. The method of close reading is used combined with a reader-oriented perspective. I examine the medial aspects of the chosen work through the pictures, the text, and the iconicity of the typographical pattern of the text. To reach my goal, the following questions are dealt with: What is the character of the narration? How do the various media interact in the production of meaning? What is the relationship between the text and the implicit reader? What is the narratological difference between reading the book aloud and silently? The theoretical framework f the paper consists of narratological and intermedial theories.

Syftet med mitt arbete har varit att undersöka hur lärare och elever talar om språk i några givna skönlitterära texter samt vilka ord de använder när de gör det. Jag har sedan gjort en text- och diskursanalys för att se hur diskursiva praktiker i en skolkontext påverkar informanternas läsning av texten. Jag har också diskuterat huruvida informanterna använder ett metaspråk när de talar om de skönlitterära texterna samt vidrört frågan om den enligt vissa lägre prioriterade språkliga delen i skolans svenskämne. Resultatet visar på att eleverna och lärarna använder få metaspråkliga begrepp men överlag har god metaspråklig förmåga. Mönster av hur man talar om skönlitterär text i skolan kan urskiljas, där värderingar och subjektiva bedömningar spelar in.
