Arbetet är en studie som syftar till att ta reda på om det finns skillnader i lärares definitioner på vad ett laborativt arbetssätt är samt hur elevers förmågor och attityder påverkas av det arbetssätt de undervisas med. Undersökningen utfördes i två klasser, den ena klassen arbetade mer traditionellt med problemlösning medan den andra klassen arbetade med nästan samma innehåll laborativt. Arbetet inleddes med en test för att ta reda på elevernas kunskaper i problemlösning. Efter den första testen fortsatte de båda grupperna med att arbeta i fyra veckor på vart sitt sätt med problemlösning. Under tiden genomfördes ett antal intervjuer med både lärare och elever.

The objective of the present study was to evaluate distillers? dried grains with solubles (DDGS) as a protein source to rainbow trout (Oncorhynchus mykiss), by studying digestibility and growth measurements. One control diet, totally lacking DDGS, and three test diets were made containing 10 % (low), 31% (medium) and 51 % (high) DDGS respectively on dry matter (DM) basis. The control diet and the test diets were made to be as nutritionally equal as possible. Wheat bran was used to balance the fiber content of the diets.

Problem: Använder sig fondförvaltare av ett markant ökat risktagande för att försöka återta förlorad avkastning relativt konkurrenter? Vilka incitament kan leda till en förändring i riskjusteringen? Finns det några faktorer som har samband med riskjusteringen eller är fondförvaltarens riskbeteende slumpartat? Hur väl överensstämmer våra resultat med tidigare studier inom området för vår undersökning? Syfte: Vårt huvudsyfte är att undersöka om det föreligger någon skillnad i förändring av risknivå mellan de fonder som har lägre avkastning än medianen och de fonder som har högre avkastning än medianen. Vårt delsyfte är att försöka förklara medelriskjusteringen under andra halvan av året för de fonder vars avkastning hamnade under medianen för avkastningen under första halvan av året; givet att en sådan förändring föreligger. Metod: Vi utförde först en studie av befintlig teori inom området. Test av turneringshypotesen med hjälp av c2-metoden genomfördes på 41 stycken svenska aktiefonder.

The loss of such great wetlands, which has arose in Sweden the last decades, has created a situation that threats both the function and the biological diversity within the wetlands. Many ecological niches can be found in the wetlands and it is one of the habitats where most different species exist. In the 17th Century people started to ditch damp environments, such as bogs, to create a productive cultivated ground. Further ditches were made when the forestry gave large economical profits. The wetlands were impoverished from both groundwater and nourishment, and this led to a great loss of species.In a corporation with WWF and Skogsstyrelsen in Arvika, the University of Karlstad has participated in the Laskerudproject, a hydrological restoration-project in a forest landscape.

Syftet med studien är att sammanställa information kring genetiska metoders roll i svensk hunduppfödning. Studien innehåller ett historiskt perspektiv på dagens genetiska pool, hälsotillståndet hos svenska rashundar, genetiska sjukdomar bland hundar, samt i vilken utsträckning vi kan påverka hundens hälsotillstånd och mentala tillstånd. Det finns olika typer av urvalsmetoder som används i hunduppfödning såsom markörbaserat test, mutationbaserat test samt traditionell fenotypbaserad avel. Studien har för avsikt att inkludera flera perspektiv då genetiska tester och hundavel påverkas av ett flertal aktörer, såsom Svenska Jordbruksverket, Svenska Kennelklubben, hunduppfödare, rasklubbar och laboratorier. Beroende på hur man tolkar Jordbruksverkets föreskrifter från 2008, kan Jordbruksverket och Svenska Kennelklubben vara på kollisionskurs.

Test Driven Development (TDD) är en utvecklingsteknik där testning ses som ennaturlig del i utvecklingsprocessen och där tillvägagångssättet hjälper utvecklaren attsektionera upp programkoden till mindre och mer hanterbara delar. På så sätt gerTDD utvecklare ett stöd under programmeringsfasen så att de får fram ren ochflexibel kod som är enkel att ändra och felsöka. TDD som teknik underlättar ävenmöjligheterna att utveckla koden inom den tidsram som finns i och med attbetungande testfaser, som i traditionella metodiker och tekniker kan blitidsavgörande, istället integreras som en naturlig del i utvecklingsprocessen. Syftetmed denna uppsats är att belysa de fördelar som finns med att använda TDD vidutveckling av nya applikationer. Vi ska ge utvecklarna som är involverade iprogrammeringsfasen argument till varför TDD bör tillämpas vid utveckling avapplikationer och hur TDD kan vara ett hjälpmedel för att uppnå en bättrekodstruktur/design för applikationen.

This study aims at contributing to the studies of political implementation. The theory of implementation claims that local implementation that meets the demands of national policies is close to none existing. By examining the implementation of industrial policy in two Swedish municipalities that differs in location, prosperity and political believes I am putting the theory to the test. If the test were to show that the implementation is rather well executed in these two cases, where the risk of failure is great, the questions about whether the theory is valid or not will rise.By interviewing the two local government employees in charge of the work with industrial policy, and studying their strategic documents I got my answers. This by looking at their work but also their attitudes towards the national policy in terms of understanding the policy, being able to work with it, and wanting to work with it.

Hur kan testprotokoll användas för att mäta datorspels underhållningsvärde på ett metodiskt sätt? Studien bygger på metodisk testning av datorspel med hjälp av användandet av testprotokoll, och inleds med att presentera vad testning är samt hur den används inom både generell mjukvaruutveckling och datorspelsutveckling. I studien framställs två testprotokoll baserade på testmetoderna "fokusgrupper" samt "speltestmetoden". Dessa testprotokoll används i test ledda av en extern högskolestudent inom datorspelsutveckling. Studien ger praktiskt användbara exempel på testningsprotokoll och resulterar i en diskussion som visar på vikten av strukturerad testning.I diskussionen pekas på vikten av att utföra mätningar konsekutivt för att få fram testernas fördelar.

This thesis was developed as an assignment from Ludosity Interactive where the goal was to develop a copy of the Xbox Live Indie Games-marketplace from the Xbox 360. Ludosity Interactive had a necessity to easily test a game's attractiveness to potential customers using testing people from outside the company in a simulated Xbox Live Indie Games test environment; excluding this developed system there is no other way to do such an analysis without actually releasing the game on the Xbox Live Indie Games marketplace and then analyze the resulting sales from the product.The finished system had to be similar to the original system to the degree that a user could see past the interface itself and use the system just as he/she would have used the real marketplace. It also had to be easy to change and add games to the system so that Ludosity Interactive easily could show the games and the data that they deemed interesting for their tests. Abstract During object-oriented system development, programming should be preceded by analysis and design to assure that the system fulfils the demands of the customer and simplify during the development phase and documentation. When modeling the analysis and design phases, several different notations may be used. One of these is the UML (Unified Modeling Language) which this thesis will cover. The aim is to compare the use of the UML i practice versus what is said in the literature. The investigation is built upon interviews at different companies to receive their reflections about the UML.

The landscape architect is similar to the moviemaker in that they both want to mediate an experience with their creations. The landscape architect designs playgrounds and the moviemaker makes movies for children, but how does the relationship between children and nature look like in the landscape formed by the movie maker?s fantasy? The purpose with this thesis is to study how the relationship between child and nature is depicted in a movie as a medium, by analysing ?My neighbour Totoro?, a Japanese animated movie from 1988 by Hayao Miyazaki. The analysis consists of two combined analyses, Experiential Landscape Analysis and Gordon Cullen?s Serial Vision, both of which analyse the relationship between a human being and her environment as well as the emotional changes that occur as she moves in it.

I denna uppsats har filmljudet i krigsfilmerna Apocalypse Now och Saving Private Ryan undersökts. Detta har gjorts för att försöka bidra med ökad förståelse för filmljudets användningsområde och funktioner, främst för filmerna i fråga, men även för krigsfilm rent generellt. Filmljud i denna kontext omfattar allt det ljud som finns i film, men utesluter dock all ickediegetisk musik. Båda filmerna har undersökts genom en audio-visuell analys. En sådan analys görs genom att detaljgranska båda filmernas ljud- och bildinnehåll var för sig, för att slutligen undersöka samma filmsekvens som helhet då ljudet och bilden satts ihop igen.

During the latter half of the 18th century, when concrete started seeing general use in modern cities, the use of different methods to give the concrete a finished surface texture saw use. One of these was using different methods of mechanically altering the surface using a slew of cutting and crushing techniques with mallet and chisel. This was done in order to hide the often dull and gray look of concrete, and allude to other more expensive and luxurious stones. The work would possibly have been done by experienced stonemasons, using much of the same techniques and tools they would have used while working natural stones. Or did they? This essay explores, through the use of traditional handcrafts and tools, the claim that the working of concrete surfaces can be done with the same tools and skillset as the working of natural stone.

Syftet med uppsatsen är att undersöka hur användandet av modeller kan påverka elevernas resultat i ritningsläsning. I undersökningen deltar 28 elever som går på byggprogrammet. Eleverna har gjort ett test med tre vyer som är avbildade från två håll. Elevernas uppgift var att avbilda från ett tredje håll. Testet genomfördes vid två tillfällen, med tre veckors mellanrum.
