Syftet med följande arbete är att undersöka vilka för- och nackdelar som finns med ett differentierat skolväsende i form av elitskolor eller nivågrupperingar. Undersökningen bygger på intervjuer med sju personer från fyra olika yrkeskategorier. Kategorierna är politiker, företagare, akademiker (i form av universitetsmatematiker) och lärare (i form av en lärare och en lärarstudent). De resonemang som framkommer i intervjuerna analyseras och listas för att ge svar på frågeställningen. De vägs också emot varandra i en slutlig diskussion om vad de sammantaget säger om differentiering..

Syfte och frågeställningarSyftet med studien var att undersöka om den fysiska prestationsförmågan förändrades vid ökad träningsintensitet i form av intervallträning hos kvinnliga elitfotbollsspelare.Frågeställningarna var följande: (1) Vilken effekt har en ökad träningsintensitet i kombination med en minskad träningsmängd på uthålligheten? (2) Vilken effekt har en ökad träningsintensitet i kombination med en minskad träningsmängd på snabbheten? (3) Är det möjligt genom en ökad träningsintensitet i kombination med minskad träningsmängd att förbättra uthålligheten och snabbheten även i slutet av säsongen?MetodEn kvantitativ analys av testresultaten före och efter interventionsperioden genomfördes på spelare ur två damfotbollslag (testgrupp: n=18, 23,3±8 år och kontrollgrupp: n=12, 21,5±5,5 år) aktiva på elitnivå. Testerna som genomfördes var ett Yo-Yo IR1 test, VO2max-löpbandstest, 10- och 30 m sprint samt ett agility-test. Pre- och post-testet genomfördes med åtta veckors mellanrum där testgruppen hade en interventionsperiod medan kontrollgruppen fortsatte med den ordinarie träningen. Testgruppens 8-veckors interventionsperiod bestod av vanlig träning med tillägg av snabbhetsuthålligheslöpningar (30 m sprint med tre min aktiv vila) två gånger i veckan samt intervallspel á två min med en minuts vila, även detta två gånger i veckan.

There are two species of potato cyst nematode (PCN), the yellow, Globodera rostochiensis, and the white, Globodera pallida. Each of them can appear in different pathotypes. These are separated by testing the nematode ability to multiply on a number of potato cultivars with different resistance properties. The aim of this project was to examine the virulence of Swedish and foreign PCN populations and to compare two test methods. Biotests are today the only available tests used to study virulence.

AbstractAim: The aim of this study was to investigate if treatment with ?dry needling? in myofascial triggerpoints (MTrPs) in the rotatorcuff muscles may affect impingement symptoms such as pain during provocative tests, shoulder mobility, and function. The research questions were: Does the value of pain change on the Visual Analog Pain Scale (VAS) between before and after treatment? Do the positive provocative tests for impingement change between before and after treatment? Does the active shoulder mobility change between before and after treatment? Does the self-rated function change between before and after treatment?Method: The study was a prospective randomized intervention study and 19 persons with impingement symptoms (mean ± standard deviation; 58 ± 18 years, and shoulder pain duration 3.9 ± 1.6 months) were randomized into two groups. The groups were tested before, directly after and 3 weeks after treatment.

This study aimed to investigate whether there was a correlation between an individual?s selfesteem and search for confirmation on social media. The study also sought to answer whether there were differences in self-esteem and search for confirmation from a gender perspective. In this study social media was defined as Instagram. The choice was founded on the basis that Instagram in the current situation is one of the world's largest social media that allows users to share their everydaylife in pictures, which are commented and ?liked? by other users.

Detta arbete grundar sig på fyra klasslärares tankar och erfarenhet av att integrera bild och form i undervisningen, hur de ser på bild och form som ämne och vilket pedagogiskt värde de menar att bild och form har för elevernas utveckling och lärande. Vi har intervjuat dessa fyra lärare och genom deras exempel får vi ta del av hur de använder bild och form samt varför de använder det den ämnesteoretiska undervisningen. Vårt syfte med detta arbete är att ta reda på om bild och form som ett praktiskt/estetiskt ämne har ett pedagogiskt värde som redskap för barns utveckling och lärande. Teorier, forskning och LpO94 pekar på att undervisningen måste anpassas efter elevernas behov och förutsättningar så den ska bli mångsidig och stimulerande för dem. Forskning har visat att det behövs mer än ett sätt att ta till sig och uttrycka sina kunskaper på eftersom vi människor är olika och inte enbart lär oss genom det skrivna och verbala ordet.

This thesis has been carried out in cooperation with a company which develops mobile sensor platforms. The sensors measure different types of data such as temperature, pressure etc.. They will communicate through the internet with a server that stores data in a database. This system will be controlled and monitored through a web page. The project's aim has been to develop this system and to implement a server, a database, a website and a client application that simulates sensor signals.

Fysisk aktivitet kan förebygga och minska åldersrelaterade fysiologiska och psykologiska förändringar. Effekterna av funktionell träning för äldre är dåligt studerat. I Sörmland pågår ett fallpreventionsprojekt som syftar till att halvera antalet höftfrakturer till år 2012. Studiens syfte var att undersöka om äldres balans, benstyrka och self-efficacy, en persons grad av självtillit att utföra en specifik aktivitet framgångsrikt, påverkades av att göra fem uppresningar från sittande till stående två gånger om dagen under fyra veckor. En intervention genomfördes med 23 deltagare på ett servicehus/äldreboende.

Sweden have 419 000 km road in the country and about half of these roads is forestroads. The forest road net most important mission is to make it possible to deliver wood from the forest to the industries. With a raw material that is spread over a large area the road network is important. Each year has the forest road network been extended with about 1 700 km new roads. To decide if a new road is to be built different forest road cost estimation models has been used.

Modern agriculture equipment are more computer based today, and many equipments use a terminal in the tractor where the driver have the opportunity to make adjustments to the equipment. This is the reason why ISO developed a new standard called ISOBUS. It is a communication standard based on CAN specially adapted for griculture equipments. The purpose of the standard is that it should be ossible to equip a tractor with a standard terminal called Virtual Terminal that can be used to control the equipment. The use of the terminal should be independent of the manufacturer of the tractor as well as of the equipment.The purpose of this report is to ?nd a solution of how to use CC Systems on-board computer, CCP XS, as a Virtual Terminal.

Problem: In society of today corporate competence is an important factor for survivor and development. IT is developing rapidly and can not be ignored by companies. Then need for people with IT-competence is conquent increasing. A survey of corporate IT-competence is therefore of interest for companies as well as for local authorities. To determine the IT competence within an organisation, this competence has to be measurable.

Syftet med studien var att under en femveckorsperiod undersöka möjligheterna till att förändra elevers motivation till fysisk aktivitet. Utifrån detta syfte formulerades följande frågeställning:Vad sker med elevers motivation till fysisk aktivitet om den praktiska undervisningen utformas efter self-determination theory?För att utforma den praktiska undervisningen efter self-determination theory valdes Engstöms praktiker som en grund och stöttepelare i planeringen och genomförandet av lektionerna. Vilket gav en underliggande frågeställning till den ovanstående:- Vilka praktiker finns representerade i underökningsgruppen?Studien har genomförts på en högstadieskola i mellersta Sverige, där två klasser i årskurs (åk) 8 valdes ut att delta i studien.

This diploma work was conducted in collaboration with the Swedish civil engineeringconstruction company Skanska Construction in Stockholm. Their interest is todevelop a number of type approved form constructions which can be used during theconstruction of concrete walls. Skanska focuses on improving safety on their projectsand both supervisors and workers have a need for approved form constructions inthe current situation.The study is focused on safety and the purpose is to facilitate the preparation beforethe form work can begin. By studying the literature of the subject and conductinterviews with employees at Skanska Construction, the understanding of the issueand knowledge will be increased.Literature studies, interviews together with production and design have been thebasis for a successful study. The work has resulted in three types of approved formconstructions to Skanska Construction and the drawings can be used of employees atthe company.

This technical report describes the master thesis in material engineering called ?Testing of surfaced hardened materials conceivable for gears and shafts?. The work extents 20 academic points. Land systems Hägglunds manufactures and sells different kinds of combat vehicles and terrain vehicles. Since the demands for bigger and stronger vehicles increases all the time, so are the demands on shafts, gears and other transmission details.

The aim of this thesis was to investigate the possibility of integrating an item tracking systemwith a monitoring system currently under development at Fifth Generation Technologies (P) Ltd.A literature study of RFID technology and the networks ZigBee and MiWi was done. Based onthe literature study a concept for a distributed system was developed.The concept is to have several RFID readers placed in the area where tracking is to be performedand allow them to communicate with each other through wireless communication. The RFIDreaders shall be able to form zones and filter the data that is forwarded from the zones to theservers and thus perform some of the work that the server would normally have to do. Theconcept has been evaluated by prototype development and testing. The prototype uses an ultrahigh frequency RFID reader and a MiWi network.The test indicated some limitations with the selected technologies.
