This work is an experimental study where knock sensor placements are investigated using engine tests. The aim is to studythe quality of the signal from knock sensors and how the signal for engine control is affected at different sensor locations on Scanias, engine DC13. To find out at witch position on the engine youcan get a usable signal for engine control, the engine is running while the knock sensors with advanced measurement equipment is connected to the engine. Evaluation of signals from the knock sensors are made in the computer program Matlab. The program is producing a seriesof plots, from these plots it is visually possible to draw conclusions and find connections.

Anestesören arbetar i en miljö som är dynamisk och komplex vilket gör att det krävs att de kan utföra sekvenser av moment på automatik eftersom det oftast inte finns tid till djupare beslutsöverläggningar. Vid Huddinge Unviersitetssjukhus finns METI som är en patientsimulator. Denna simulator används idag för att öva medicine kandidater i att ge anestesi. Detta arbete undersöker om simulatorträning kan förbättra medicine kandidaters procedurella färdigheter. Undersökningen är en enkätundersökning där frågor som sökte ta reda på deltagarnas procedurella ställdes.

Denna studies syfte var att undersöka om dövas åldersförändringar i arbetsminnesbearbetning skiljer sig från hörandes. Fyra grupper deltog, döva (teckenspråkiga) och hörande (icke teckenspråkiga), indelade i grupper om yngre och äldre (> 65 år). Femtiosex personer deltog, jämnt fördelade över de fyra grupperna. Samtliga fick genomgå ett arbetsminnestest indelat i tre delar, ett spatialt, ett temporalt och ett spatialt - temporalt test. Den spatiala naturen hos teckenspråket förväntades leda till en relativt sett förstärkt funktion i detta test hos de teckenspråkiga.

Sammanfattning: Bakgrund: Patienter med karpaltunnelsyndrom (CTS) är vanligt förekommande inom vården. Prevalensen är 4 % av befolkningen. Många har haft sina besvär länge vilket påverkar aktivitetsutförandet och sömnen negativt. Anamnes och bedömnings-instrument ger arbetsterapeut underlag till diagnostisering och interventioner. Tidig diagnostisering och arbetsterapeutiska interventioner möjliggör för ett bättre resultat.

In the process of making carton boards into Skoghall Mill, are great quantities of water being contaminated. This water has to be treated before it is possible to release into the recipient, Kattfjorden. One of the contaminations that is important to extract from the wastewater, is organic carbon (measured as TOC-total organic carbon) because microbiological breakdown can lead to the bottom becomig free of oxygen.The wastewater treatment at Skoghall Mill is done through an external wastewater treatment that is located at the factory. The biological treatment (aerated lagoon) is a 140 000 m3 water pool with surface aerator, which is give oxygen to the water. In the lagoon live microorganisms who performs the biggest part of the TOC-reduction.One problem with the lagoon is that the treatment of TOC is considerably worse during wintertime than during summertime.

Hur människor ser sig själva i den framtida yrkesrollen kan också vara en anledning till varför det finns en könsskillnad på arbetsmarknaden. The invasive species raccoon dog (Nyctereutes procyonoides) is currently under establishment Sweden and it is vital to discover invading individuals to prevent colonization. The use of wildlife cameras to discover dispersing raccoon dogs have been implemented in the north-European raccoon dog management program. In this study, I test the ability of four commercially available scent lures to attract raccoon dogs to camera stations. The study was conducted in the Åland Islands where raccoon dogs are abundant and the results could improve the effectiveness of the camera stations used in the program. I used 12 sites with five camera stations in each and tested the four lures and one control with no lure in each site.

Syftet med denna studie var att undersöka hur ett pedagogiskt spel för grundskolans senare år som övar geometriska begrepp kan utformas samt huruvida det kan fungera som ett givande komplement till befintliga material för geometrisk begreppsinlärning. Spelet, som kom att kallas MATERMINO, testades av 33 elever (15 flickor och 18 pojkar) i skolår 6. Dessa elever samt tre lärare för grundskolans senare år bedömde sedan spelet; de förstnämnda i enkäter och de senare i intervjuer. MATERMINO bedömdes främst passa elever i skolår 6-8. Vidare visade studien att MATERMINO var omtyckt och roligt och att spelet tycktes leda till inlärning gällande geometriska begrepp.

The main purpose of this study is to examine differences and similarities concerning teamwork and interactive skills among preschool children while they interact with an Ipad respective a number of selected traditional artifacts. The traditional artifacts chosen for this study are small Lego blocks, JovoToys (click and construct system) and large puzzles. The study takes its starting point on the basis of both a social- and a learning perspective when different groups of preschool children in the ages from three to five years interact in fellowship groups with respective artifact. Primarily the main focus is to examine differences and similarities that appear from without the social perspective.The overall objective is to identify what eventual differences and similarities can be found purposely on both what is happening in the social interaction between the preschool children themselves but also what is taking place in the interaction between the children and each artifact. This study will also via theoretical frameworks create an understanding why eventual differences and similarities exist.The results are based on both a literature review and a field study.

The project has been performed in collaboration with Thule Sweden AB, a global leader in developing safe, simple and elegant solutions for the transportation of various types of equipment. The company has developed a new T-track which is telescopically, they stand mount system to connect the roof box to the roof rack does not fit into this. Therefore, the company considered that it was necessary to have a new product that meets the requirements of the new roof rack. They wanted a new, smarter solution would be developed. The bulk of this essay has been to find a new concept to connect the roof box to the roof racks. The result is a saxkonstruktion that slides down the roof rack T-profile and protected out of a puck-like housing. The product is small, simple and elegant solution.

This project has created a web-application for the service technicians at the paper plant Gruvön. The project was outsourced to the IT-company Sogeti.The application visualizes information about reparation-work of the equipment at the paper plant. The displayed information is work-orders, the status of the work-orders and errors. It is also possible to see the costs and hours spent on reparation-work.. The work-orders and related information is stored in a relational database.The application is created mainly for web-browsers in mobile-phones and tablets.

Syftet med detta arbete är att kartlägga ytjämnheten på stålbanden efter kallvalsning samt hur den erhålla ytjämnheten påverkas av trimvalsningen. Detta för att undersöka om det är möjligt att minska ner användandet av någon valsyta i Tandemverket vid SSAB Borlänge. Genom att mäta ytjämnheten på stålband av olika kallvalsade kvalitéer efter kallvalsning och trimvalsning, mäta ytråheten på texturerade valsar före och efter användning samt genomföra test med nya ytkombinationer har ett antal resultat genererats. Två test där Docol 200 band som skulle levereras med bandyta 23 valsades med en grövre yta i Tandem (valsyta 48 istället för 34) än vad som är brukligt och sedan trimvalsades med ordinarie valsyta visade att det är möjligt att klara kraven på Ra-värde för bandyta 23 även på band som kallvalsats med en grövre valsyta än i vanliga fall. Dock är det inte säkerställt att kraven för yta 23 alltid kan uppnås på band kallvalsade med grövre valsyta.

A thesis directed towards Innovationsslussen in Gothenburg about securing, improving and simplifying sitting on the toilet for patients with sitting difficulties. The primary target group for the project is patients who have had a stroke and as a consequence from that suffers from various kind of bodily paralysis.An overall goal was to design an aid that was comprehensive enough that the patient could manage sitting securely on the toilet without have a nurse giving physical support during defecation.Five conceptual proposals were developed and evaluated in consultation with Innovationsslussen and one was selected to be further developed.The result was an integrated support at the toilet that facilitates a good sitting posture which minimizes the risk of falling and provides comfortable support when leaning to the side. The product is divided in two with both a redesigned carryingsystem and a new type of support surface adapted for the purpose..

This thesis was developed as an assignment from Ludosity Interactive where the goal was to develop a copy of the Xbox Live Indie Games-marketplace from the Xbox 360. Ludosity Interactive had a necessity to easily test a game's attractiveness to potential customers using testing people from outside the company in a simulated Xbox Live Indie Games test environment; excluding this developed system there is no other way to do such an analysis without actually releasing the game on the Xbox Live Indie Games marketplace and then analyze the resulting sales from the product.The finished system had to be similar to the original system to the degree that a user could see past the interface itself and use the system just as he/she would have used the real marketplace. It also had to be easy to change and add games to the system so that Ludosity Interactive easily could show the games and the data that they deemed interesting for their tests.
