The inn has both a well-known restaurant as well as conference facilities that are used by tourists as well as the people of Stockholm over the summer months. The inn was built 1908 and has since remained in the same condition.make islands in the archipelago more environmentally friendly and promote sustainability. One of their project islands is Grinda.

Syftet med den här studien var att inventera möjligheterna för kommunala verksamheter inom Skellefteå kommun att stänga av ventilationen vid varningssignalen Viktigt Meddelande till Allmänheten. Inventeringen skedde med hjälp av enkäter som sändes till ett stort antal kommunala verksamheter såsom; förskolor, skolor, äldreboenden, badhus och bibliotek. Resultatet visade att kunskap om alarmsignalen Viktigt meddelande till allmänheten var låg. Några förslag på hur säkerheten kan förbättras, ifall en olycka inträffar, är givna i rapporten. Ett av förslagen som framkommer är att öka kunskapen om hur ventilationen stängs av.

This thesis work resulted in a template for how the thermal spray process can be controlled through robot programs. The robots today and their programs need to be replaced, therefore a new structure which can be matched with the new robot systems is needed. The work is limited to only concern structured programming on the new robots on Thermal Spray Centre (TC) with the programming language Rapid. The basic data for the program was retrieved from interviews with concerned personnel at TC, from studies on process parameters for thermal spray and from existing specifications at Volvo Aero Corporation (VAC). The thesis work briefly describes the process thermal spray and the four methods used at VAC.

Uppsalahem AB is a municipally owned real estate concern that owns and administrates housing for nearly 30 000 people. The company puts a lot of effort into reducing the energy use of their housing stock. This project is a master?s thesis in the energy systems programme at Uppsala University, carried out in collaboration with Uppsalahem. The aim of this thesis is to provide energy saving measures for fourteen student housing buildings in Uppsala, Sweden.

This report is the result of a thesis conducted at the consulting firm Bjerking AB andis the final part of the Bachelor Programme in Construction Engineering at Universityof Uppsala. The work aims to investigate the costs and how the choice of ventilationsystem affects building projects during a long-term period. This report covers costssuch as investment, maintenance and energy but also how they affect residents andbuilders. Building regulations for energy consumption are expected to be tougher;therefore a comparison of two different heat recovery ventilation systems(HRV-system) was made. One system is based on a centrally placed unit that coversthe whole buildings ventilation through vertical shafts.

Syftet med denna studie är att undersöka om det finns någon betydelse av den fysiska arbetsmiljön i förhållandet till lärandet. Undersökningen är gjord med hjälp av litteraturstudier och enkäter som besvarats av elever på fem yrkesförberedande program i årskurs två.  I resultatet framkom elevernas syn på skolans och den arbetsplatsförlagda utbildningens fysiska lärandemiljö. Exempel på förhållanden som eleverna uppmärksammade var ventilation, ljus, måltidsmiljön och läraren. Energy efficiency is important both to reduce costs and to reduce greenhouse gas emissions in the atmosphere. Reducing costs will also help maintain business competitiveness.Scania in Södertälje is a company where the optimization of energy use is an ongoing and continual process. One area with potential to make energy and cost savings is the effectiveness of the ventilation systems in offices and industrial premises at Scania. During the summer months an increased demand for cooling occurs, leading to increased ventilation and a peak in district cooling system usage. Sorptive cooling is a technology where the supplied air is cooled by applying external heat.

VAV (Variable Air Volume) system has been studied in a newly constructed office-building. The goal for the study has been to evaluate how the ventilations system work in practice, if adjustments can be made to achieve an more energy efficient system and to evaluate if other alternative ventilation systems is to be preferred in the further.The degree project has been executed at Helenius Engineering Firm who is working with the environment, media systems, HVAC and energy in buildings. The building that has been studied is owned and operated by Akademiska hus.Literature studies, visits at site, inventory, review of system documentation, energy analyses, interviews, key figures, LCC, sand energy- and indoor climate simulations has been made to study the building. Where appropriate some tools from Six Sigma have also been used.How to achieve an energy efficient system and a pleasant indoor climate is studied with human health and well-being as base for the indoor climate requirements. Technical support systems such as ventilation systems have to be designed so that an acceptable indoor climate can be achieved.

Vi har gjortenergiberäkningar i programmet VIP+ för att se hur kompaktaggregatet skulle kunna fungera ipassivhus i Sverige.De resultat vi har fått fram ur VIP+ visar att passivhus med ett installerat kompaktaggregat klararav att nå passivhuskraven ända upp till Skellefteå. De beräknade värdena understiger kraven förpassivhus, men en viss marginal behövs för att kraven ska nås även efter uppförandet avbyggnaden. Vi har även tolkat tekniska uppgifter på ett sätt som enligt oss har en positiv effektför passivhus på kallare orter. Därför tror vi inte att värdena för de tre nordligaste platserna ärhelt tillförlitliga.

Aim: The aim of this study was to describe intensive care nurses? experiences communicating with patients during mechanical ventilation.Methods/design: A qualitative interview study. Interviews where analyzed using descriptive content analysisSetting: Nine intensive care nurses from two different intensive care units were interviewed using a semi structured interview guide.Background: Past research has shown that patients during mechanical ventilation in the intensive care unit, feel very vulnerable and the helplessness of being unable to speak. These patients feels that they are completely dependent on the nurses and their competence. It has been shown to be very important that the patient feels included, acknowledged and respected.Results: The analyzed data resulted in a theme; through communication strive to preserve patients´ dignity and three main categories; create relationship to the patient, minimize patients´ vulnerability and don´t give up.

Passivhus är en vidareutveckling av ett energisnålt hus, där man genom extra tjock isolering,hög kvalitet på dörrar och fönster samt husets planlösning minimerar beroende att köpa energiför uppvärmning. Passivhus har krav på uppvärmningsbehovet samtprimärenergiförbrukningen. En princip för passivhus är att de inte ska vara krångligare ellerobekvämare att bo i än vanliga hus.Lindås Park är ett bostadsområde som består av 20 st. radhus som ligger en bit utanförGöteborg. Radhuset klarar kraven för ett passivhus, det enda värmesystem som är installeratär en eftervärmare till FTX-systemet på 900 W.De passiva hus som byggts i Sverige har gemensamt är att de ligger i södra delen av Sverigeeller nära kusten, dvs.

AbstractIn urban societies people spend more and more time indoors, which put great demands on the indoor environment. If the ventilation is to manage the removal of unwanted substances in the indoor air, a good mixing of the air is required. The question arises that, whether the buoyancy forces will counteract a good mixing of the indoor air or not?This report aims to clear up the difficulties whether you need to consider the buoyancy forces or not, when adjusting a ventilation unit. For studying the indoor mixing of the air a two dimensional model is constructed in COMSOL Multiphysics.
