En studie om rehabilitering - en skamgörande process

The purpose of this essay is using theories about labeling and social bonds to study whether a measure of rehabilitation for the psychically disabled contributes to a return to a normal status as not-labeled. Partly we examine whether the activities organized by the regulation-ruled authorities during the work of rehabilitation lead to shame or pride, and partly how these activities are organized regarding the processes that lead to the emotions pride or shame among the participants. Method: qualitative semi-structured face-to-face interviews with professional rehabilitation-actors at the Public Employment Office (PEO), the Social Insurance Office (SIO), the Social Service (SOS), the Psychiatry and the Division of Labour Market (AME).Conclusions: the Psychiatry clients are treated with respect, may participate, and communication is characterized by attunement, therefore strong social bonds can be built. On the contrary, among the other examined activities, we found many elements that arouse shame. Since these are more ruled by regulations, the result is engulfment and demands on conformity, because the compromise-possibilities are almost non-existent.

Ethnic discrimination is still a problem in the Swedish employment market. The Ombudsman against Ethnic Discrimination received 154 complaints relating to discrimination due to ethnicity in the working life in 2012. In addition, reported unemployment rates in Sweden differ markedly between native-born and foreign-born. The purpose of this paper is to investigate how protection against ethnic discrimination in recruitment looks like in Sweden and describe different methods an employer may use to prevent that ethnic discrimination occurs in recruitment situations. The first and second issue of the essay concern what protection there is in Sweden against ethnic discrimination in recruitment situations, based on international and national law. The traditional legal dogmatic method, which describes the valid law, is used in these sections.

Background: Sweden is a country with 30 million memberships in different non- profit organizations. In total these organizations employees about 400 000 people, through employment and voluntary work. The complete turnover for non- profit organizations is 100 billion Swedish crowns per year. It has only since 2001 been compulsory to follow the Swedish account rules BFL and ÅRL. Trade unions are one type of non-profit organizations with the main purpose to care for the interest of its members concerning their working condition.

The method also studies what assumptions underlie policy problems, what is left as unproblematic within the policies and what effects are produced by specific problem representations. A central question for the thesis is what has remained and changed within Swedish gender equality politics. The history of the Swedish welfare state is presented as a background on how gender equality policy has affected the everyday life of women and men.

SammanfattningSocialstyrelsen visar i kartläggning (2008) att allt fler dagliga verksamheter i Sverige har börjat använda sig av individuella placeringar på arbetsplatser. Syftet med uppsatsen var att undersöka hur ett urval av arbetsledare i två medelstora kommuner genomför och upplever arbetsintegreringen av personer som blivit beviljade individuell placering inom daglig verksamhet enligt LSS. De valda frågeställningarna var; Hur genomförs arbetsintegreringen med individuella placeringar av personer med intellektuell funktionsnedsättning i två medelstora kommuner? Vilka problem respektive framgångsfaktorer upplever arbetsledarna vid arbetsintegreringen för denna grupp? Hur upplever arbetsledarna samverkan mellan Arbetsförmedlingen, Försäkringskassan och det lokala näringslivet? Vad har en evidensbaserad arbetsmetod, t.ex. supported employment, för betydelse för arbetsintegreringen? För att besvara frågeställningarna utfördes en kvalitativ studie med intervjuer av sex arbetsledare i två medelstora kommuner.

Title: Education and working life of music teachers, a study of the music teacher education at the Malmö Academy of Music - from a theoretical and practical perspective. The purpose of this study is to examine the possible flaws within the single subject music teacher education. The study is based on qualitative interviews of four informants, two recently graduated music teachers, and two representatives of the potential employment market. In the theory chapter we provide the reader with a pre-comprehension of the content and foundation of the music teacher department, as well as the duties of a music teacher. In the result chapter we provide a compilation of the opinions of our informants regarding the music teacher education at the Malmö Academy of Music, as well as the demands and expectations in their profession as a music teacher.

Svenska hushålls vedarbete : en fallstudie i Umeåregionen

In Sweden there are 354 000 private individuals owning forest. Of these forest owners there are at least two thirds that are self-employed, which means that about 215 000 forest owners conduct some kind of work in their own forest. Those numbers do not refer to firewood production, but every year 7.3 million piled cubic meters of firewood are used for heating Swedish households. This implies that many households are also producing firewood. The objective of this study was to assess and analyse the small-scale firewood production in the Umeå-region in terms of persons engaged in the work, equipment used, produced volumes and share of forest-owning households involved in these activities. According to results from a questionnaire, the average firewood producing person is a man between 40-60 years old.
