This project investigated the current market regarding wireless net and the communication between the tools used for diagnostics/maintenance and an embedded system. Based on documentation obtained through interviews a demo system was created based on Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) communication between an embedded system and an Android device.This report intends to describe the tools and methods used in the design of the demo system and the result of an analysis of the BLE communication.Bluetooth Low Energy is an exciting protocol with wide applicability within the industrial field. This project investigated the communicational possibilities between a Smartphone and a Raspberry Pi and based on the results that emerged the conclusion can be drawn that BLE is a protocol with many beneficial applications within industrial IT..

Utveckling av reglersystem till quadrokopter
The purpose of this project was to further develop and complete a quadcopter that had been built in an earlier course at KTH, so that it could be used for demonstration and education at the school. The quadcopter was at the beginning of the project completed when it came to hardware, and there was some software functionality implemented but no system for automatic stabilization. The main goal of the project was to implement such a system, and to combine it with the previous functionality to make the quadcopter operable and able to fly. To create a functioning and stable ground multiple basic software features has been implemented, and on top of that additional software to improve the safety, stability and functionality. The most important part is the control system that is responsible for converting sensor and control signals to suitable motor values.

sustainable development by reducing the energy use by EU:s directive of energy efficiency and the UN Convention. The second purpose is to present the technical solutions regarding ventilation and heating system that is being used in passive houses. This was done using 8 passive houses, 4 germany and 4 swedish passive houses. Even the international and Swedish system requirements for passive houses have been addressed in this project. The goal was also to explain how and why the mechanical system in passive houses has developed to the technology used today.

The purpose of the study is to investigate the possible effects of an unstable ventilation system and its influence on energy use and thermal comfort. The report also explores how qualified personal working with HVAC view and handles system control.In order to meet the requirements in energy efficiency and a comfortable indoor climate control regulation is a prerequisite. With optimized increased complexity of the climate systems, it becomes more challenging to control the system and the risk of unstable control increases. No previous studies about what affect an unstable system can have on energy use and thermal comfort have been found.The report is based on several tests were the controlling variable has been increased until the system becomes unstable. Two different types of unstable systems have been investigated.

The increasing complexity in the development of a configurable real-time system has emerged new principles of software techniques, such as aspect-oriented software development and component-based software development. These techniques allow encapsulation of the system's crosscutting concerns and increase the modularity of the software. The properties of a component that influences the systems performance or semantics are specified separately in entities called aspects, while basic functionality of the property still remains in the component. When building a real-time system, different sets of configurations of aspects and components can be combined, resulting in different configurations of the system. The temporal behavior of the system changes and a way to ensure the predictability of the system is needed.

Ur ett tekniskt perspektiv innebÀr kamouflage att kontrasten för ett objekt minskas mot dess omgivning. Detta gÀller för hela det elektromagnetiska spektrumet dÀr hotbilden ges av varierande sensorer i radar- och IR-omrÄdet sÄvÀl som i det visuella omrÄdet. I takt med att tekniken gÄr framÄt utvecklas mer avancerade sensorer.
AnvÀndbarheten i sÀkerhetskritiska system: en fallstudie av SIGMA-systemet
I föreliggande studie undersöks hur anvÀndare upplever anvÀndbarheten i ett sÀkerhetskritiskt system ? Luftfartsverkets flygledningssystem SIGMA. UtifrÄn litteraturstudier definieras begreppen anvÀndbarhet och sÀkerhetskritiska system. Empirin utgörs av intervjuer med anvÀndare av SIGMA-systemet. Studien visade att anvÀndarna upplever att systemet i vÀsentliga delar har bra anvÀndbarhet, vilket utifrÄn litteraturstudier, intervjuer och efterföljande analys frÀmst tycks bero pÄ att systemet arbetats fram med stor anvÀndarmedverkan och att det var utarbetat specifikt för arbetsplatsen.

This master thesis work was done at Saab Underwater Systems AB, a company at the cutting edge of underwater technology. Here torpedoes and other underwater vehicles are developed and manufactured. The major customers are navies of different countries, mostly the Swedish navy. The aim of this master thesis is to develop, construct and evaluate an automatic Trim System for Unmanned Underwater Vehicles. The task of the system is to change the position of the centre of mass and the vehicle?s total mass or volume.
Prototyp av informationssystem för militÀrfordon
Computer based information systems play an important role in modern military combat vehicles. The crew needs to be able to quickly get information about both the vehicle and its outer surroundings in order to quickly make the correct decisions. In this report, we describe the development of a prototype new information system for the BvS10 vehicle, manufactured by BAE System HĂ€gglunds AB in Ărnsköldsvik.An important aspect of the system is the time it takes from the point that the information is generated by the vehicle sensors until it is presented to the user. The system must be able to ensure that it never displays information that is out of date. Thus, it is important to create a layer and component based architecture for the solution, making it possible to control, in detail, the information?s age as it moves through the system.

Genom vÄr forskning ville vi ta reda pÄ om, och i sÄ fall hur den pÄgÄende deprofessionaliseringen av bildjournalistiken kan ha nÄgon pÄverkan pÄ den tekniska kvaliteten pÄ bilderna som publiceras i SkÄnska Dagbladet och Sydsvenska Dagbladet SnÀllposten. Forskningen grundar sig i Gunnar Nygrens (2008b) teorier om professionalisering och deprofessionalisering. För att kunna fÄ svar pÄ vÄra frÄgestÀllningar genomfördes en metodutveckling ta fram ett systematiskt tillvÀgagÄngssÀtt som vi kunde anvÀnda för att dels analysera upphovsmakare och storlek pÄ bilderna, men ocksÄ kategorisera den tekniska kvaliteten pÄ bilderna utifrÄn exponering, vitbalans och skÀrpa. Detta kompletterades med intervjuer med beslutsfattare pÄ de bÄda tidningarna.I den kvantitativa undersökningen visade det sig att SkÄnska Dagbladets bilder till en högre grad var avvikande pÄ nÄgon eller flera av de punkter som undersöktes för att faststÀlla kvaliteten pÄ bilderna. Den tekniska kvaliteten var ocksÄ nÄgot som diskuterades i vÄra intervjuer.
Makten över miljön : en studie om makt, miljö, politiker och tjÀnstemÀn pÄ Tekniska Verken i Linköping
Sedan mitten av 1950-talet har det politiska intresset för miljöfrÄgorna ökat ur bÄde ett nationellt och internationellt perspektiv. Den svenska miljöpolitiken har decentraliserats och kommunernas ansvar och möjligheter att utveckla den lokala miljöpolitiken har dÀrmed ökat. Tekniska Verken i Linköping utgör av de viktigaste lokala aktörerna pÄ miljöomrÄdet och Àr dÀrför intressant att studera. Syftet med uppsatsen Àr att undersöka vilka aktörer som har makten över miljöomrÄdet i Linköpings kommun samt möjliga orsaker till varför dessa aktörer innehar denna makt. Undersökningen har begrÀnsats till energi- och avfallsomrÄdet i Linköpings kommun.

When using the digital halftone proofing systems, a closer print match can be achieved compared to what earlier couldbe done with the analogue proofing systems. These proofing systems possibilities to produce accurate print match canas well lead to producing bad print matches as several print related parameters can be adjusted manually in the systemby the user. Therefore, more advanced knowledge in graphic arts technology is required by the user of the system.The prepress company Colorcraft AB wishes to control that their color proofs always have the right quality. This projectwas started with the purpose to find a quality control metod for ColorcraftÂŽs digital halftone proofing system(Kodak Approval XP4).Using a software who supports spectral measuring combined with a spectrophotometer and a control bar, a qualitycontrol system was assembled. This system detects variations that lies out of the proofing systemÂŽs natural deviation.The prerequisite for this quality control system is that the tolerances are defined with consideration taken to the proofingsystems natural deviations.

This examination report is a part of a program for Industrial organisation and Economics with specialization in Logistics and Management at Jönköping University. The report contains an analysis of the internal material handling at Kongsberg Automotive, and also an improvement proposal for a new material handling system.The aim with the report is to find a better material handling system and also make an analyse of the existing system. The goal is to shorten the distance for the operators when they order material, and also to increase the productivity.The investigation methods for the report have for the most part consisted of observations and interviews of key-persons who daily work in the production. During some time the actual material handling-system has been observed and some shortcomings have been discovered, and these are also discussed in the report.The shortcomings that have been discovered are for once the indistinct signal that should signal need of material in the production. Some other activities have also been discovered that does not bring any value into the final products.
