MOTTAGANDE OCH INTRODUKTION AV NYANLÄNDA BARN OCH UNGDOMAR : En kartläggning av kommunerna i Hallands län
This study aims to identify the municipalities of Hallands? methods, guidelines and policies in integration concerning new arrivals of children and Teenagers. Some of the new arrivals are under the power of Swedish Migration Board and some of them are by a contract handed over to the municipalities. The evaluation is based on Michael Lipskys street-level bureaucracy which puts its focus on the lower level of bureaucrats meeting with clients. The frame is Skolverkets guideline for education of new arrivals which is more or less a way towards a common policy.
Kön och missbruk i sociala utredningar
I have done a qualitative literature study, in which the data consisted of descriptions of drug abuse in ten social inquiry text documents (that also are applications for institutional care) concerning Teenagers. Social welfare secretaries representing two social welfare offices in Malmö, has written the text documents. The purpose of this essay was to examine thedescriptions and, if possible, try to make out and describe stereotyped themes and patterns depending on gender. To obtain the purpose of this essay I searched for answers of the following three central questions:- What appears to be the social welfare secretary's purpose in describing the teenager's drug abuse?- How is the parameter gender related to the descriptions of drug abuse in the social inquiry text documents?- How are other possible gender-stereotyped descriptions of the teenager related to the descriptions of drug abuse?In the analysis of the descriptions, which where the foundation of the study, I found patterns in describing drug abuse depending on gender.
Ungdomars föreställningar om tvångstankar och tvångshandlingar ? En kvantitativ studie
The purpose of this quantitative study has been to investigate teenager?s perception of obsessions and compulsive acts. Teenager?s perceptions and experiences as well as connections between the taboos surrounding the topic and the perception have been examined. The study has taken in to consider gender perspective, in regards to certain topics.

The aim of this study was to examine young people?s experiences of participation within the intervention Contact Person. Three questions were asked concerning young people?s experience of participation, aspects that promoted/limited the young people?s experience and the significance they attached to the intervention. The findings in this study are based on phenomenological interviews with five Teenagers within the intervention Contact Person.
Vad är det som gör en låt "bra" och vilken roll spelar budskap och text i musik för tonåringar idag? En studie kring elevers tankar om musik och text
Denna studie är gjord för att undersöka ungdomars tankar kring musik och text, och då med utgångspunkt från forskningsfrågan: Vad är det som gör en låt "bra" och vilken roll spelar budskap och text i musik för tonåringar idag? Studien grundar sig i ett intresse för budskap i musik och funderingar kring huruvida detta budskap når fram till dagens tonåring. All musik förmedlar något men hur uppfattar mottagaren det? Handlar en bra låt endast om musik? Spelar texten den viktigaste rollen i sammanhanget eller är helheten det som tilltalar? Påverkas tonåringarna av musiken och det eventuella budskapet, eller är det något man inte alls bryr sig om? Under tre gruppsamtal med elever från årskurs 7-9 lät jag elever lyssna på låtar och läsa låtens text samt fritt reflektera kring detta. Slutsatsen man utifrån dessa samtal kan dra, är att musiken är det man först möter och således det som avgör hur låten tas emot, samt det som avgör om man är intresserad av att lyssna vidare.
Psykisk ohälsa - eller ändå inte? : om hur ungdomars psykiska ohälsa har förändrats i en tid av välfärdsnedskärningar och kulturell modernisering
In recent times statistical findings suggesting a deteriorating mental health among Teenagers, have been published. Not only did I find the lack of an all-inclusive analysis problematic, but also the fact that the studies themselves where often insufficient. Thus my purpose has been to chart these statistical studies, and then scrutinize the results.My method has been inspired by critical theory, where an interpretive starting point, self-reflection, and the idea that man and society interacts as a whole, is of great importance. Aside from the above mentioned studies, I have also employed secondary empirical data from TV, newspapers and the Internet. My own experience as a social worker has also been an important resource for this paper.
Att hantera sexualiteten i det tjugonde århundradet : en studie av sexualrådgivningen på ungdomsmottagningen och förmedlingen av normer från personal till ungdom
The subject of this paper is the mediation of norms about sexuality, from personnel working at the Swedish ?ungdomsmottagning? (youth centre for service and counselling about sexual health), to the visiting Teenagers. The purpose of the empirical study is to investigate how the staff understands the part of their work that implies giving advice about sexuality; how they work, which norms they have about youth sexuality and how they see their roll as advisers. To answer these questions, I have interviewed six staff members working at different youth centres. Three of them work as social counsellors and three as midwifes.The main area of work at the centre consists of individual appointments, but another important task is meeting with school classes visiting for purposes of study.
Riskbilder och kontroll av ungas IKT-användning: En fallstudie
The use of Internet by children and Teenagers has become a special field of interest. Certain risks are associated with young peoples use of this media and national and international measures have been taken to assess and counter these risks.Library and informationscience have approached the subject of risks by looking at different software´s, so called Internet filters, that is used to control and censor the access to Internet based resources. In the USA, where public services and institutions that provide Internet resources to children and youth have started to require censorship of the Internet, a debate has arisen concerning the use of so called Internet filters.The theoretical basis of this master´s thesis is related to the conception of risk, gender and childhood. The focus of the paper lies on young peoples use of information and communication technology (ICT) and how risks associated with young peoples use of the Internet is constructed by different parties involved in supplying Internet resources. By means of a case study at a primary school in Skåne and at the company Netscan in Malmö.
Data och Tv-spel : Data och tv-spels påverkan på ungdomar
The purpose of this study is to investigate in what extension students experience that computer and videogames affect them. I have chosen to focus on the physical, mental and social affect that this activity might bring them. I have also examined how much time the students spends in front of the computer or the videogame and in which social context they play.The method I have chosen to use is a quantitative opinion poll which I used in three classes of the later junior high and I have also conducted five qualitative interviews.The conclusions I have drawn from this investigation are that computer and videogames affects Teenagers both physically and mentally. Physically the affects of playing videogames mostly can be derived to the physical inactivity they expose themselves to. The students themselves did not experienced any positive physical affects from their playing.Amongst the mental affects that stood out the most I recognized the social training that online gaming provided and also the intellectual stimulation that certain games offered the player.

Children and Teenagers who can´t participate in the regular school for a longer time for whatever reason, have by the school law the right to education in hospitals or institutions. Education that take place in other places than school most try to follow the same guidelines as his/hers usual school. This applies to students in elementary school, compulsory school, special school, Sami school, secondary school and upper secondary school.Purpose: The purpose of this study was to find out how three teachers at a hospital school plans their work with children in grade from 1 to 3, who suffer from cancer, especially brain tumor. How can the teachers at the hospital school plan and organize their teaching so that it´s possible for the children whit brain tumor to feel as normal as possible. How does the common work between the consultant nurse, teachers at the hospitals and their ordinary school prevent the children to feel like an outsider?Method: I have chosen to do a qualitative study followed by three interviews whit three informants who works at a hospital school.

Utbildningen av nyanlända elever i gymnasieålder : Nationella utredningar och lokalt arbete i Södertälje och Malmö kommun
The purpose of this thesis is to study the education of newly arrived 16-20 year old immigrants and how their education in the towns of Södertälje and Malmö matches up with national inquiry into the subject.The research questions in this thesis are as follow: What type of documents shape the work with newly arrived students? What's the preferred development surrounding the education of the newly arrived students nationally? What does the latest study, which is a proposed reform of the Gymnasium system, say about the education of newly arrived students?How does the local work connect with proposals of national investigations? Do the cities take responsibility for evaluating the education of newly arrived students? From arriving to graduating, what does the road to graduation look like for a newly arrived student? What is the curriculum of a newly arrived student?The methods used here are studies of investigations made primarily by Skolverket (The National Agency for Education) and Myndigheten för skolutveckling (The Agency for Development of Education), studies of local documents such as annual reports of quality and promotional material for programs at local Gymnasiums (High Schools), and interviews with local persons in charge of shaping the work with newly arrived immigrants.This thesis has not used theory as a foundation for structuring the analysis, but postmodern theory and the use of three dimensional power inspired the thesis.The conclusions made focuses on the future of the education for these Teenagers at large and makes connections between the national investigations and the local work with immigration education.In order for these Teenagers to be allowed to join the Swedish national Gymnasium, they need to learn Swedish, and integration seems to be an important part of learning Swedish quickly. .

När gamla lagar och nya teknologier möts : En diskussion om den illegala nedladdningen av musik idag
Research shows that almost 30 per cent men and 20 per cent women at the age of 16-24 inSweden download music on a regular basis instead of buying records. Thanks to moderntechnologies Teenagers of today have become used to downloading music illegally from theInternet. Even though legal alternatives, such as Spotify, have become popular, the behaviorof illegal download of music still persists. What do record companies do to prevent thisphenomenon and why do they go to such length to stop this widespread movement? Thequestion is, why is illegal download of music a problem ? and for whom?To investigate this I?ve read books about the subject, analyzed web pages of alternative recordcompanies and interviewed a drummer in a local band.
