An absolute majority of all Swedish children begins to attend preschool at some point between the age of one and five. The acclimatisation to preschool means a great change in every small child's life. They leave all that is well known, the parent and their home, to face a whole new environment with new kids and adults to get to know and learn to trust.The purpose of this study has been to find out how the professionals in preschool reflect upon the child's acclimatisation at preschool. More specifically we wanted answers to how the preschool teachers, in their work with the child's acclimatisation, relates to the today, in preschool, much debated relationship between the two perspectives care and pedagogy.This qualitative study is based on ten interviews with preschool teachers at different preschools in a small town in Sweden. The analysis is based on a presentation of the interview material compared with earlier research and the theoretical aspects we have chosen, which are Bronfenbrenners Ecological Systems Theory and the Object Relations Theory.While working with this paper it has come clear to us that there is no explicit or common definition of the concept of care within preschool, while there is a clear definition of the concept of pedagogy.

Sweden, being a multicultural society, has an increased need for transcultural care. The purpose of this literature review is to provide, through Madeleine Leinger's Culture Care-theory and her Sunrise model, a greater knowledge to nurses and to other professions within the health care units in meeting with circumcised or genitally mutilated girls or women. The result is based upon two scientific dissertations and nine scientific studies. It emerged mainly the etic (outsider) perspective. To underline the emic (insider) perspective, pure literature and fiction have been used.

Jag har i denna uppsats genomfört de empiriska studierna vid AstraZeneca i Lund. Personerna som intervjuades arbetade i olika former av virtuella team, med kollegor såväl inom Sverige som utomlands. Genom den snabba tekniska utvecklingen under senare år har det uppstått nya möjligheter för människor att kommunicera med kollegor som är fysiskt placerade utanför det lokala kontoret. Samtidigt är många företag verksamma på global basis i likhet med det undersökta företaget AstraZeneca. I mitt uppsatsarbete har jag haft för avsikt att undersöka vilka faktorer som är särskilt betydelsefulla för att få ett väl kommunicerande och fungerande virtuellt team.

AbstractVarför ser det ut som det gör inom den svenska akademin? Vilka är orsakerna till att män och kvinnor väljer olika utbildningar och karriärvägar inom högskolan? Inom området jämställdhet och högskolan finns många olika teorier kring de faktorer som påverkar könsfördelningen. De vanligaste metaforerna som används är den läckande pipelinen och glastaket som båda beskriver olika typer av jämställdhetsproblem. Vårt mål med den här studien har varit att dels se hur teoribildningen har utvecklats inom området och dels att göra en analys av vilka olika faktorer som påverkar könsfördelningen på två institutioner vid Lunds universitet.Vi har valt att göra en komparativ studie mellan två institutioner som skiljer sig åt, inte bara ämnesmässigt utan framförallt i fördelningen av kvinnor och män på allt från grundutbildningsnivå till de högsta akademiska nivåerna inom institutionen. För att kunna göra vår jämförelse mellan institutionerna har vi dels samlat en del kvantitativ data i form av statistik och dels genomfört intervjuer med de båda institutionsledningarna.Vårt resultat visar på en rad faktorer som påverkar könsfördelningen.

Syftet med denna uppsats är att belysa hur medvetna musiklärare är om jämställdhetsperspektivet i sin undervisning, om det finns skillnader mellan manliga och kvinnliga lärare och hur lärarna ser på de budskap och värderingar de förmedlar i sin undervisning ur ett jämställdhetsperspektiv. Undersökningen genomfördes på en skola med hjälp av observationer och kvalitativa intervjuer av berörda lärare. De resultat jag kom fram till var att lärarna, en manlig och kvinnlig, i stort sett behandlade sina elever på ett jämställt sätt. Det förekom tendenser till upprätthållande av traditionella könsmönster, men i liten skala. The grip function is a main function in the hand and is used in many examples of scientific research, for instance when assessing physical health and predicting the probabilities of premature mortality.

Syftet med uppsatsen är att undersöka den rent språkliga skillnaden mellan morgon- och kvällstidningar med kvantitativ och kvalitativ metod. En enkätundersökning av typen blindtest har också genomförts för att bredda resultatet. Nyhetsartiklarna behandlar samma ämne och är publicerade 060918 i Dagens Nyheter, Göteborgs-Posten, Sydsvenska Dagbladet, Expressen samt Aftonbladet.Resultatet visar att morgontidningarna har ett mer nominalt språk och kvällstidningarna verbalt; kvällstidningarna har ett verbval och en personomnämning som vetter mot det personliga medan morgontidningarna är mer formella och distanserade. Skillnaderna i artiklarnas stycken är markant mellan medierna; kvällstidningarna har något lägre språklig komplexitet jämfört med morgontidningarna. Den kvalitativa undersökningen av innehållet pekar mot att uppdelningen morgon- kontra kvällstidning skulle vara för snäv.

This Master of Science Thesis was a complement project to the PIEp study MENTOL, carried out at a Swedish midsize medical device company.. PIEp nationally works for a long-term increase of the innovation capability of people and organizations. The purpose of this study was to find measuring parameters of innovation that fit medium-sized technological companies and organizations, Another purpose was to evaluate an innovation investment at the company, consisting of external consultant?s education of key personnel in innovation, and a two day innovation seminar with all personnel at the company participating. The methods used during this Master of Science Thesis were: feasibility and literature studies about innovation and innovation measurements, quantitative and qualitative interviews, surveys and workshops.For an accurate measure of innovation it is crucial to a have full understanding of what innovation is, and clarity of the purpose of the measurement itself.

In the history of scientific visualization techniques there is a lack of social science practices and methodologies. The advent of modern computer graphics brought the use of visualizations into a whole new era, but even though the tools by which such modern visualizations are created become easier to access and use, the lack of social science researchers harvesting the benefits of such tools still remain. This ease of use, increase in power and accessibility plus the ever growing need within the natural sciences to augment the human senses has further complicated the relationship between scientific methodologies, validity, reliability and the use of visualization techniques. This relationship must be explored, demystified and understood in order to fully grasp the impact of visualization practices when incorporated into any given scientific method. Within the social sciences there is one example of a tradition that has since its conception carried within it a graphical notion and a visualization practice.
