I det här arbetet har jag undersökt hur mitt musicerande på marimban kan utvecklas genom att hitta nya sätt att spela på.Syftet är att försöka hitta och utveckla för mig nya sätt att spela på och också försöka skaffa en vana att spela på dessa mindre etablerade sätt på marimban. Tillsammans med mina egna erfarenheter och en litteraturstudie om hur marimban är uppbyggd, hur plattorna är stämda, hur rören påverkar och om mindre etablerade sätt att spela på har jag experimenterat fram och värderat ett flertal nya spelmetoder.Jag har hittat olika sätt att spela på där jag bland annat spelar med stråke, spelar flageoletter mm. Jag har spelat efter grafisk notation för att få användning av de olika spelsätten..

From the processed signal the program should be able to show both the raw wavesignal and the processed measured data from the resonance peaks. Today there are commercially available databases with active features, i.e. active mechanisms are available for development of information systems. But the usage of active mechanisms is low in practice. This is due to the insufficient methodological support in analysis and design for developing ECA rule based software. It has been proposed that one of the most suitable ways to tackle this problem is not to develop new methods but to extend existing methodologies.In this thesis an extension of the Object Modeling Technique (OMT) is developed, called OMT-A, which is able to model active rules.

????The aim is to examine how written production differs between students with and without difficulties in writing. The study also examine how different difficulties within writing interplay. It is based on analysis of ten-year old student texts with 30 texts from both an experimental and a control group. This is a final year project considering constructional Techniques for joining cavity walls. The project is related to an ongoing scientific programme about the restoration of The City wall of Visby located on Gotland. The programme was set by Riksantikvarieämbetet as a reaction to a collapse of the outer masonry wall shell which took place in February 2012.The City wall of Visby is a medieval fortification built out of limestone during the 13th century. The wall is constructed as a cavity wall with two separate masonry shells connected to each other through an intermediate core. During the 14th century the wall was heightened which lead to a higher stress, especially in the outer wall face.

Transmission of digital signals is today more frequently used than transmission of analog signals. One reason for this is that a digital signal is less sensitive to noise than an analog, another reason is that almost all signals today are handled in a digital format. This thesis describes the development of a system that receives digital video signals through FireWire. The standard for FireWire, which is a high performance serial bus, is under development. Today the standard of the bus supports transmission of data with a speed of up to 400 Mbit/s.

This essay examines the relationships between the different elements in Lisa Jonasson?s collage Existentiell Progg #6 and her very detailed Technique. The essay has as its aims to understand and analyze both the details and the wholeness of the artwork and to try to put the collage in an art historical context. The thesis finds that Existentiell Progg #6 has a connection to the imagery of Africa and other collage artist such as Hannah Höch and Nancy Spero, which also gives the paper a perspective of feminism in the arts. The paper continues to create an understanding for the collage work by putting it in to Theodor Adorno?s theories about nature, the human being and the animal kingdom.

Nobel Prize Laureate Joseph Brodsky is a key figure in Soviet Russian literature. Expelled from the USSR in 1972, he became a US citizen in 1977 and Poet Laureate of the United States in 1991. In this essay, I have sought to examine the state of exile perceived in Brodsky?s poems. Using Russian literary critic Viktor Shklovsky?s concept of defamiliarization, I have strived to illuminate the formal composition of this state ? its Technique.

The aim of this thesis was to evaluate the music downloading service Musikwebb regarding its indexing and retrieval effectiveness. This was done by performing various kinds of search in the system. The outcome of these searches were then analysed according to the criteria specificity, precision, recall, exclusivity and authority control. The study showed that Musikwebb had several flaws regarding its retrieval effectiveness. The most prominent cases were the criteria exclusivity and specificity.

The purpose of this study is to create knowledge about the view on play and work with play in Nepal?s preschools. To do that I travelled to Nepal and interviewed people who had an insight in either work regarding play in preschools or the view on play. I used a kind of interview were the person I interviewed got the phenomenon ?play? to discuss and to reason about, without my values.

Detta examensarbete handlar om hårdrockssångares medvetenhet när det gäller sångteknik. Syftet med arbetet är att få kunskap om vilka tillvägagångssätt de har använt sig av när de skapat sitt sound och hittat sin teknik. Den teoretiska utgångspunkten för studien är det sociokulturella perspektivet. Tidigare forskning inom området behandlar traditionell röstlära, mer moderna sångskolor och socialkulturella normer gällande inlärning. Jag har använt mig av den kvalitativa forskningsintervjun som metod och mina informanter är verksamma inom området.

Studien utgör en del av ett projekt för att undersökaarbetsmiljön för elever på konstnärlig kandidatutbildning i musik, inriktningimprovisation på Högskolan för scen och musik i Göteborg. Studiens syfte äratt undersöka upplevelser av feedback från lärarna under utbildningen. Datainsamlades genom semistrukturerade intervjuer med sju elever i tre årskurseroch analyserades med induktiv tematisk analys utifrån metoden criticalincident Technique. Eleverna upplever att mål och syfte med uppgifter ofta äroklara och att feedback på skolan brister i både kvantitet och kvalitet.Feedbacken saknar ofta den specificitet som forskning visar är viktig.Eleverna önskar att lärarna tydligare uttrycker sina åsikter. Utöverfrågeställningarna berörs funderingar om identitet och initiativtagande.Uppsatsen avslutas med förslag på reflektionsämnen, riktade till lärarna..
