Hur arbetas det med läs- och skrivsvårigheter i skolan?

How do we match our education with the needs of the construction line of business and the requirementsof the Swedish National Agency for education? Is there something that we have to change?In this study I have asked our former students about their opinion of our education and I have also asked them to give me their view on what a good Teacher is like. I have been able to benefit a lot from their answers in my efforts to be that good Teacher. This survey took place at Facebook.The answers showed that we carry on a piece of solid workmanship. But you can always improve, try harder.

Butikskoncept : Småföretagens överlevnad!

In the previous curriculum for the preschool Lpfö 98, the educational responsibility was documented belonging to all the team members. On the 1st of July 2011 a new curriculum was introduced to the preschool, Lpfö 98/10, where it is documented that the educational responsibility now belongs to the preschool Teachers. According to curriculum experts at the Swedish school board this educational responsibility is not new, just a clarification of the preschool Teacher?s educational responsibility.This study is a qualitative study and the purpose was to interview the preschool Teachers about their thoughts concerning their educational responsibility. The purpose was also to examine if their educational responsibility has affected their role in the team at the preschool and if they believe that this has any significance for their profession.My result of the study shows that the educational responsibility of the preschool Teachers now has been clarified and that they should take a leading role in the team towards the goals that are set for the preschool.

En glimt av hur barnsynen speglas inom två olika länder : En jämförande studie mellan en förskola i Sverige och en förskola i USA

In this thesis I have discussed about conflict management in school, from a Teacher´s perspective. Focus has been on Swedish schools, especially on the Teachers who are active in primary school. Several perspectives have been given, including an intercultural approach which has been the most recurrent. The importance of Teachers? emotional maturity, knowledge about democracy and values, as well as Teacher?s impact by being a sharp leader in different ways are other subjects the essay has touched.

Lärares initiativ till kommunikation med elever i klassrummet- Genusperspektiv på gymnasiet- Vem frågar vem?

This report presents the initaitvies made by Teachers in form of questions during four lessons in a highschool class. A class in senior highschool was filmed during six hours with four different Teachers. The number of questions and other initiatives were counted. The dialogue was transcribed with CA regarding examples from questioning and dialogue. The study examined how many closed(open and rhetorical questions the Teacher initiate.

På spaning efter faktorer som påverkar studietiden vid musikskolor : En enkätundersökning bland rektorer för musik- och kulturskolor

The purpose of this investigation is to see if there is any difference in how long pupils are staying in the activity of the music- and culture schools in the country. I have compared this with how large the Teachers engagements are in average at each school, how many Teachers each school holds and if one Teacher is teaching within different areas, e.g. on different instruments. Thru mail contact with the headmasters at the music- and culture schools I have gathered data concerning the length of which the pupils are staying at the schools, the number of Teachers at each school, the size of the Teachers services and in how many different areas each Teacher is teaching.It has been hard to get to any results in the investigation since the music- and culture schools don?t compile statistics on how long their pupils are staying at their schools.

Motorikens betydelse för språkutvecklingen

The aim of this Master?s thesis is to investigate if the reading habits of Teacher students are influenced by merit and descent. The empiric material consists of six questionnaires answered by students at the Teacher training with Swedish at the upper secondary school as their first topic. The questionnaire comprised questions about reading habits in the childhood and today and information concerning merits and descent.Pierre Bourdieu?s sociological ideas about cultural capital transmitted from parent to child and the concept of habitus are used as a theoretical framework regarding descent.

Den närvarande pedagogen : en empirisk undersökning av förskolepedagogens förhållningssätt till den fria leken

In this empirical study I have investigated how preschool Teachers relate to the free play at the preschool. At the same time I have investigated how the free play is adapted into everyday practice in the preschool. Previous research shows that children process what they experienced in the free play. The child retrieves content to play with through things they have experienced, such as family life, preschool and so on. To play, grow and continue, it is important that free play may take place and space in the daily activities at the preschool.

Stegintegrering- billigt och bra? : Hur stegintegrering i Moderna språk på gymnasieskolan påverkar inlärningen och undervisningen ur ett lärar- och elevperspektiv

This essay discusses the subjective observations and opinions on the Swedish concept of stegintegrering, a form of mixed grade education in the subject modern languages at upper secondary level. I interviewed two headmasters, four Teachers and conducted an online survey with 39 pupils in order to find out what effects the concept of stegintegrering has on teaching and learning from a Teacher and pupil perspective. Due to the extent of this essay no general conclusions can be made but certain connections could be found. For once there was a connection between group size and the possibility of teaching each group separately during one lesson per week and the attitude of the concerned Teachers and pupils towards stegintegrering. While both headmasters and Teachers claimed that the cooperation between pupils across all levels was the main purpose of stegintegrering as it helps their learning and understanding, my study showed that many pupils did not really want to cooperate and that Teachers often find it hard to construct tasks that stimulate every group.

Diagnosis of adhd, the cause and consequence. A study about the Teachers thought about it.The purpose of this study was to examine Teachers experience and views about children diagnosed with adhd, and what implication and effects it gives to the pedagogy strategies in the classroom.This is a qualitative study based on the experience of six Teachers from primary school. My results have been compiled and compared to special educational research about adhd, from three different perspectives.The results showed that the Teachers who have been working as Teachers for a longer period, think that the problems of adhd occur primarily due to environmental causes, but then also say that they think the individual causes matters. It is also these Teachers that talks very well about medication as a treatment to cure adhd symptoms. The Teachers who have worked the shortest time, most of them have some special education from the Teacher education.

En studie om lärarstudenters informationssökning

The main purpose of this Master?s thesis is to contribute to anincreased understanding of student Teacher?s informationseeking for their studies. The role of cognitive authorities andapproaches to the critical evaluation of sources are taken intoaccount as well as what student experiences of informationseeking imply for their future profession. The study takes asociocultural perspective and the empirical material is based oninterviews with six student Teachers at the end of theireducation. The interviews have been analysed with a departurepoint in the research questions to the following themes; seekingand finding information, critical evaluation of sources and,analysing and using information.The major findings concern the Teacher students? emphasis onthe importance of the critical evaluation of sources and theirscepticism towards Internet use, both for their own studies aswell as for their future pupils.

Elevers relation till matematik : En jämförelse mellan mellanstadielärare och högstadielärares syn på elevers relation till och lärande i matematik

ABSTRACTThe purpose of this essay is first to get a general idea about a group of working Teachers thoughts of mathematics and the teaching in mathematics. I also would like to find out what they think affect pupils relationship to the subject. The surveys main purpose is to compare Teachers in grade 4-6 and Teachers in grade 7-9 view of what you as a Teacher can do to further the learning in mathematics. I have done eight interviews. Four of them are with Teachers in grade 4-6 and the other four interviews are with Teachers in grade 7-9.Concerning the result of my examination it is difficult to come to a general conclusion.

Berättandets roll för språkutveckling

Since storytelling is a growing form of teaching we wanted to interview Teachers to see what their experiences and opinions were on the subject. Therefore the purpose of this study is to use interviews to examine Teacher perceptions and experiences about storytelling and its effect on language development. I will investigate both the use when the Teacher is telling a story but also when students are telling stories. With help from my supervisor I was able to come up with interview questions that would help me answer my research question. After the interviews I reviewed the answers and analyzed them.

?And so they lived happily ever after?? : en diskursanalytisk och queerteoretisk bild- och textanalys av läroböcker i engelska för gymnasiet

This thesis consists of a discourse and queer theoretical text and image analysis of school books in English used in the Swedish upper secondary school.  The whole content of two school books have been analysed from a norm critical perspective but one chapter in each of them has been analysed more thoroughly than the rest. These two chapters form the major part of the analysis.The thesis? problem formulation and objective derive from a personal experience of being a Teacher student and part time Teacher in Swedish schools. This experience shows the prevalence of a strong heteronormativity both in the schools? every day life and in the used school books.
