With the help of contemporarysociological studies in the field of the late modern man and today?s youth culture,I?ve chosen to do qualitative interviews with eight young women in order to examinehow today?s society affects their process of identification. Lately we?ve been ableto see an enormous interest for books that deal with the vampire saga, and while thereaders are mostly young females, it brought me to ask the question why the combinationof teenage drama and vampires seems to be such a winning concept.We live in a time where most young females experience a lot of pressure trying to addup to the demands of society, and as the media keep producing images of youngwomen being thin and looking like supermodels, most teenagers feel a lot of pressureand anxiety trying to live up to such unnatural ideals that in the long run might lead tovarious health issues and eating disorders.As a result of this thesis I?ve found that the vampire narrative answers to some ofthe existential needs we have as members of a late modern society.

Bakgrunden till vårt examensarbete på Scania i Sibbhult är att personer i ledande ställning inte är tillfredsställda med hur materialförsörjningen av hemmatillverkade artiklar till monteringslinjen fungerar idag. Syftet med examensarbetet är att ta fram underlag över hur materialförsörjningen och monteringssättet fungerar idag och utifrån detta underlag bedöma om materialförsörjningen till monteringslinjen fungerar optimalt. Om inte, ta fram förslag på förbättringsverktyg för att effektivisera samordningen av materialförsörjningen och monteringssättet.Med hjälp av intervjuer och observationer har vi samlat in information över hur monteringssätt och materialflödessystem fungerar idag. Efter sammanställning och analys av informationen bedömde vi att det nuvarande materialförsörjningssystemet inte fungerar optimalt och att det kan förbättras. Genom brainstorming kom vi fram till ett flertal olika förslag till förbättring, två förslag redovisas i arbetet.

The purpose of our research was to examine whether the acceptance and diffusion of RFID technology among the employees at public libraries in Sweden, follow the classic diffusion of innovation model. RFID or Radio Frequency Identification, is a technology that uses radio frequency and microchip technology to track items, in our case, library books and other library materials. Diffusion is the process by which, in our case, the RFID technology is adopted by the library staff. The purpose of this study was to examine what factors influenced the acceptance and adoption of RFID among the library staff. We used Everett Rogers' Diffusion of innovation theory as our framework.

This report examines some common or otherwise interestingnon-cryptographic hash functions with respect to the number of collisions when used in hash tables for different types of hashkeys. The report answers which of the examined hash functions can be seen as the best performing for the chosen hashkeys. To compare the different hash functions, an experiment which studies avalanche effect behaviour is carried out. The experiments also calculate the fraction of colliding hashkeys, and the distribution of hashkeys in hash tables is studied using Karl Pearson?schi-squared test.
