Användarna erbjuds även egna gallerier och möjligheter att diskutera i forum samt privat meddelandefunktionalitet. Modellering och simulering av hovrande helikopter

At the department of Electronic Warfare Assessments at the Swedish Defence Research Agency in Linköping one of the activities is modelling and simulation of the duel between a robot and a target. The aim with this Master's thesis is to develop a simulation model of an hovering helicopter. First a theoretical description of the forces and moments acting on an helicopter is given. Then the equations of motion are derived. These equations are simplified to be valid only for a hovering helicopter and the result is a mathematical model.

Laser for material processing possesses a number of advantages which mean that it has been and will be an important component for a wide range of industries' future development. Cutting materials processing is the dominant use of laser technology and has revolutionized the manufacturing industry. The aim of this thesis is to describe the principles of metal cutting by laser, how laser cutting is applied in practice and to identify how Swedish companies are using laser cutting. For the theoretical and technical description of laser cutting literature studies are the primary source of information. The empirical basis for the mapping of the Swedish industry for laser cutting is grounded on a survey; this includes Swedish companies that use laser cutting in their production.

The aim of this study is to describe and understand the reasons to why people choose to become foster parents. By using the theory of action we wanted to investigate their intentions rather than their motives. The questions we wanted to answer where: How do the foster parents describe their reasons for becoming a foster home? What reasons do they give fore keeping on being foster parents? How do they comprehend their task and the fulfilling of it? The study was performed by utilizing qualitative interviews with five foster parents, four women and one man. In the analysis we used the theory of action as a theoretical perspective.

En precisionsstudie av förstärkt verklighet som positioneringsverktyg

This study investigates augmented reality using third person perspective and what precision can be achieved by using this method. There have been prior studies in regards to precision using augmented reality, however studies using third person perspective is scarce. This study presents a solution using a static camera capturing the user as well as the plane to augment from behind. This augmented image is then transferred to a handheld device that is held by the user. Using this method the user will be free to manipulate and work with the plane without removing the device that captures the scene, a common problem when using visual reference markers in augmented reality.

The aim is to continue a relationship and to keep a communication alive with people beyond time and space, then, now and henceforth. I take advantage of and transform the traces in an object that belonged to someone. Parallel I create new space for bodies to put their mark for the first time. I compare my work with the Nordic Museum's task to preserve the present for the future.

Produktion av Pyrolysolja från kvistrejekt

Fast pyrolysis is a method for converting biomass into three energy rich products: char, gas and bio-oil, where the latter is most interesting.  Pyrolysis is an endothermic process where biomass is heated in an anaerobic environment and, with the right operating conditions, up to 80 %wt bio-oil can be extracted. Key parameters for fast pyrolysis are: stable reactor temperature (~500°C), short residue time for gas in the reactor (<2 s) and a very high heating rate for the biomass. Today there are several different process solutions for fast pyrolysis, where fluidized beds and rotating cones are most developed. Bio-oil has compared to fossil oil: lower heating value, low pH and also polymerizes with time. Because of this upgrading is desirable for increasing competitiveness.

Teknikämnets spår i skolans tidigare år. : En studie om teknikämnets förekomst och karaktär i grundskolans år ett till tre.

Avsikten med denna studie var att undersöka vilka spår av teknikundervisning somfanns i grundskolans år ett till tre. Våra upplevelser var att lokala arbetsplaner ochmedvetet arbete inom teknikämnet saknades i år ett till tre, vilket vi ansåg försvåraelevernas chanser att uppnå målen för teknikämnet i slutet av år fem. Trots upplevelsenav att teknikämnet försummas, har vi ändå sett att lärare undervisar i teknik i år ett tilltre, dock omedvetet. Syftet blev därmed att studera teknikämnets förekomst och karaktärmer systematiskt och genom observation och analys kritiskt granska hur teknikämnetkom till uttryck i den vanliga undervisningen. Detta analyserades utifrån en kvalitativmetod med deltagande observationer och berättande observationsanteckningar sominsamlingsdata.
