The purpose of this thesis is to describe and compare how the Swedish security policy is organized and how it has changed since the Cold War ended. To do that, I?m going to try answer the following questions:How is the Swedish security policy organized?What defence resolutions have affected the Swedish security policy after the Cold War ended?How has different political actions made its impact on the Swedish security policy after the Cold War ended?My theory is to try explain how the Swedish security policy has changed after the Cold War through a realism security perspective called traditional security, which refers to a realistic construct of the states security policy.

Abstract///// Parks and green spaces are important to a lot of people today. Are these parks made for us all? Is it possible for a person with a sight disability to explore and take part in all the things these places have to offer? They can probably take in some, but I think there are more effective ways of planning for the blind and sight disabled allowing them to explore using their tactile senses. The environment is vital for children?s development.

?Historiska Bakverk? is a project about different pastries from a historiacal perspective.The goal was to create illustrations and typography inspired by differentpastries, in order to communicate something about their history and what layunderneath. The project aimed to highlight, understand and acknowlage thepastries as an important part of our history and cultural heritage. Importantquestions I have dealt with throughout the project was in what way the pastriestell us about our history, how it has changed them through time. The result, aseries of posters for croissant, doughnut and pretzel, are a combination of boththeir history and my own experience of them.

In a time when concern for the environment is a topic that is met with both love and hatred, organic goods and services become increasingly common on the market. Communication efforts with the purpose of increasing the proportion of organic products consumed are being conducted by both private and public actors. However, achieving attitudinal and behavioral change within complex areas such as this comes with many difficulties.Within public opinion change, a common way of achieving a change in behavior is to use fear appeals and scare tactics. Earlier studies have shown that messages prompting a low level of fear can be more effective than messages prompting a high level of fear, since a high level of fear tends to raise defense mechanisms in the consumer. The purpose of this essay is to examine whether fear and defense mechanisms is a problem when it comes to making consumers choose organic products, as well as studying whether messages prompting low levels of fear are more effective than those prompting high levels of fear.This quantitative study is conducted in the form of a questionnaire-based experiment, comparing the effectiveness of two messages prompting different levels of fear.

Bakgrund: Aktuell forskning har exempelvis visat att patienter som drabbats av en stroke och fått massage under tiden på sjukhuset förbättrat sin förmåga att genomföra aktiviteter i det dagliga livet snabbare än kontrollgruppen.Syfte: Syftet var att beskriva patienters upplevelser av mjuk massage inom sjukvården.Metod: Litteraturöversikten baseras på tio kvalitativa och en kvantitativ artikel vilka har funnits i databasen Cinahl. Fribergs analysmetod har använts i analysdelen. Sökorden var: touch, experience, care, touching, patient, nursing, nurs*, massage, tactile, tactile massage, soft tissue massage och aromatherapy. I diskussionen kopplas resultatet till den teoretiska utgångspunkten som är Katie Erikssons omvårdnadsteori, samt det vårdvetenskapliga konsensusbegreppet vårda.Resultat: I resultatet framkom fyra teman varav ett har två underteman. I första temat, Relationen till massören, beskrivs patientens relation och känslor gentemot massören.

Native spider silk is an attractive lightweight natural polymeric material with a unique combination of strength, extendibility and flexibility. Synthetic, recombinant spider silk is an attractive biomaterial with several possible fields of application. When a foreign material is introduced to blood, this can for example cause unwanted coagulation and complement activation. The aim of this study was to investigate if coatings of heparin or albumin could improve the blood compatibility of films of recombinant spider silk and to develop an initial method to do so. Hypothetically, objects like pacemakers, stents and dental implants could be covered with spider silk films of high blood compatibility to reduce potentially harmful foreign body reactions caused by the immune defense. Increased blood compatibility would likely lead to improvements for both the individual patients and the society thanks to reduced load on healthcare institutions. Our objective was to assess the blood compatibility of both functionalized and non-functionalized recombinant spider silk by evaluating coagulation and activation of the complement system of the immune defense. Coagulation was evaluated visually on glass slides and complement activation was analyzed by measuring the concentration of the complement system mediator C3a in blood samples that had been exposed to the different materials. This study introduces a non-toxic and easy performed method of improving the blood compatibility of recombinant spider silk films by adding a heparin coating. Heparin coated surfaces had statistically significantly higher blood compatibility than uncoated surfaces. The effects of albumin coating of films were less clear compared to the results of heparin coated films. Complement activation could not be evaluated because of high activation in all samples prior contact with the materials that were included in the study..

Syftet med denna litteraturstudie var att undersöka tillgänglig litteratur beträffande taktil beröring som alternativ smärtbehandlingsmetod samt vilka effekter taktil beröring har på patientens smärtupplevelse och för vårdgivande personal. Metoden som användes var Goodmans modell för evidensbaserad litteraturgranskning. Tio artiklar granskades enligt kriterier av Polit och Beck (2006) samt Willman et al (2006). Resultat visar vikten av beröring som metod för minskning av smärta, samt andra effekter som förbättrad sinnestämning och ökad livskvalitet hos patienter. Positiva och negativa effekter av beröringsbehandling för vård-personalen har tagits upp i några inkluderade studier..

The physical map that has been used until now can in the modern days be replaced with digital maps available in smart phones and tablets. One disadvantage of both is that the digital maps require the user to have a fully functional sight. The problem with the research done so far is that it provides little explanation as to why developers have decided to design the maps in a specific way. This thesis has been designed to address this problem.In order to provide the knowledge needed, a literature study was done to construct interview questions to an employee from SG Access AB. These answers and the literature study were used to construct interview questions to members and employees from Synskadades Riksförbund  (SRF).

Studien söker svar kring hur undervisning i kampsport upplevs av vuxna kvinnor och om kampsportsträning kan ha en relevans för socialt arbete för kvinnor som målgrupp. Studien undersöker vilka val som gjorts av kvinnorna i samband med att de valde att börja träna kampsport och vilka upplevda effekter de har lagt märke att träningen leder till för deras egen del. Many of us have grown up hearing or using words meant as insults or negative adjectives that were in fact names for social groups. Most of them have gone unquestioned in the mainstream consciousness, but the term Gay in the generally negative meaning has in the past years been given attention as offensive and homophobic, with debates emerging in response over whether or not this is true, particularly on the internet. It is the articles and forum threads from these debates that make out the empirical material for a qualitative study as I ask what these people?s thoughts are about this term and how it is perceived.After a qualitative coding and analysis of these texts, and interpretation of the results based on Erving Goffman?s theory of Phantom acceptance and stigma terms, Judith Butler?s theory of performativity, Ferdinand de Sassure?s theory of signifier and signified and how it connects to the community and Baudrillards theory of simulacra, this is the principal conclusion that I have drawn:For some of the people in this debate, the term Gay and its use is about homophobia and heterosexism, though mostly it?s not overt but a subconscious part of the continued dehumanization and stigmatization of homo- and bisexual people. So- called ?Network Based Defense? (NBD) was introduced in Sweden in connection with the transformation of the Swedish Armed Forces in 1999. NBD is based on the U.S. variant Network Centric Warfare (NCW), which in turn is derived from research on the concept of Revolution in Military Affairs (RMA). In Sweden the concept was introduced and included not only the Armed Forces but was intended to also support the Swedish civilian agencies in order to create networks and hence share the available information and thus more effective crisis management and to provide more "bang for the buck." In developing the concept of NBD the Swedish Armed Forces used both economic and human resources, in the form of research, new technologies, new organization and new methods.Between year 2004 and 2006 the Armed Forces once again entered the process of reorganization.

We have chosen to focus our study on conflicts and handling of conflicts in a classroom environment. We are addressing problems such as the teachers? roll in a conflict, the importance of solid leadership in the classroom, students? agency, defense mechanisms in coping with conflicts and so on. In this paper there is a review of different perspectives on conflict and of understanding why conflicts occur the different reasons for the conflicts. Our observation study took place in a grade three classroom, in a mid-sized town, during a regular school day.

AbstractAbout 160 000 persons living inSwedensuffer from some form of dementia. Alzheimer disease is the most common form of dementia and affects mostly people in the age of 65 and older. People with some form of dementia have memory problems and may even have other problems as aphasia and behavioral disorders. This may lead to communication problems and difficulties for the people around them. The number of demented people is increasing; it is therefore important to study methods for communication in order to improve the wellbeing for people with dementia.

The purpose of this thesis is to explain why states obtain nuclear weapons and the role variousactors and interests play in the making of states´ nuclear policies. The main questions are asfollows: (1) What big theories exist concerning states obtaining nuclear weapon and nucleararmament in International Relations and what relevance do they have of the post cold-war period?,(2) What is the meaning of the perspective of the Military-Industrial Complex (MIC)?, and (3)Arethere empirical studies which supports the existence of a MIC in the United States?The focus lies on actors and driving forces that are internal to states and it is also important toinvestigate if the theories have relevance for the post 9/11-era. The study uses the method ofqualitative literature-study with some quantitative segments. It is claimed that states might beinterested in justifying their behaviour in a morally appealing way and that real reasons may behidden.
