Befintliga studier har påvisat att genetiska algoritmer presterar bättre om de ges en bra startpopulation. I denna rapport presenteras en lokal sökalgoritm för att skapa en population med fokus på ?vehicle routing?-problem. Algoritmen använder sig av heuristik i en blandning av simulated annealing och Tabu search för att skapa individerna till populationen. Utvärderingar av algoritmen på ett praktiskt problem visar att den ger en bra start jämfört med en slumpmässig startpopulation, vilket är vanligt att använda.

Stockholm Konstsim Herr har tills nyligen varit det enda manliga konstsimlag i Sverige. Och är ett av få i världen. I April 2011 vann de sitt andra guld i rad i tävlingen Men?s Cup, den enda tävlingen för manliga konstsimlag.Jag har i den här uppsatsen velat undersöka hur och i vilken mån deltagarna i laget upplever konstsimmet som meningsskapande och hur de konstruerar, gestaltar och skapar en manlig identitet i och genom konstsimmet.Jag har gått till väga så att jag har gjort några intervjuer och deltagande observationer, och i kombination med utvald teori byggt min analys på det.Centrala begrepp är maskulinitet, meningsskapande, identitet, hegemoni och Tabu. .

För hundra år sedan var tjänarinnorna en stor yrkesgrupp. De fanns i alla klasser, från husmamsellen på en herrgård till en barnpiga med mat och husrum som enda lön. I den här kandidatuppsatsen med kulturhistorisk inriktning studeras berättelser av och om tjänarinnor. Empirin utgörs av arkivmaterial i form av en frågelista, NM 189 Tjänarinneyrket, från Nordiska museet. Syftet med studien är att undersöka frågelistsvaren, analysera kategoriseringar och på så vis belysa tjänarinnornas vardagsliv.

The aim of this qualitative study was to examine six individuals' experiences to talk about the sexual abuse that occurred in their childhood. We interviewed five women and one man, using a phenomenological approach during the work process. The theories emerged as we analyzed our results and appeared to be communication, cognitive theory, validation, trauma theory and taboo. The results showed that the respondents, whom disclosed the abuse as children, were most likely to get a negative response from both formal and informal support systems. While as adults they were confirmed to a greater extent and therefore achieved a better physical and mental wellbeing.

Fula ord kan definieras på flera olika sätt. I vårt arbete syftar vi till svordomar, könsord och kraftuttryck. Syftet med vår studie är att undersöka hur språknormer påverkar lärare och elevers användande av fula ord i skolan. Studien är genomförd på ett antal skolor i södra Sverige. Genom enkätundersökning och intervjuer med lärare, fritidspedagoger och elever har vi fått fram ett resultat som visar hur språknormer är knutet till identitet, att normerna är svåra att förhålla sig till, samt att de normer som förekommer i skolan är gamla normer som existerat i flera generationer.

Syftet med uppsatsen är dels att klargöra synen på det kvinnliga och manliga könet samt synen på sexualitet i rådgivningslitteraturen, dels att spegla svaren från analysen med tre kontrasterande synsätt för att se likheter och skillnader. Detta kommer jag att göra genom att studera två böcker med kristen rådgivningslitteratur från 1948 som heter Kärlekslivets och äktenskapets etik skriven av Arvid Runestam och Trivsel och trassel i äktenskapet skriven av Erik Arbin. Under studiet av rådgivningslitteraturen kommer jag att besvara dessa frågor:Vilka egenskaper tillskrivs kvinnan respektive mannen i litteraturen?Vilken anses vara den rådande livsnormen när det gäller sexualitet?Vad anses hota kristendomens livsetik/värld?Jag kommer sedan att spegla rådgivningslitteraturen i tre kontrasterande synsätt; Nina Björks tankar kring feminism, kvinnligt och manligt och sexualitet i Björks roman Under det rosa täcket, Sigmund Freuds syn på religion, Tabu och sexualitet där jag främst utgår från hans roman Totem och Tabu, och slutligen studerar jag könsrollerna i den skönlitterära romanen Thérèse Raquin skriven av Émile Zola. Med spegla, menar jag att jag kommer att söka efter likheter och skillnader mellan de tre synsätten och rådgivningslitteraturen..
