The mainpart of this thesis is about the developing of a new analysis tool to be used in Zenicor Medical Systems AB ECG-system. The primary task of the system is to simplify the ECG survey for patients who suffers from different kinds of arrythmias, for example heart fibrillation. With this system is it possible for the patients to do their ECG survey by them self at home and then send the signal with their telephone or mobilphone to a server. The equipment used to do the survey is not bigger than you can have it in a pocket and this results in a bigger flexibility for the patient. A doctor can connect to the server and analys the ECG-curve and follow up the patients condition..

This thesis describes the process of developing a reservation system for common resources through a TV-interface. The system is developed in cooperation with the company Dreampark and is built to work in their platform for TV, Dreamgallery. The main goal was to develop a reservation system and to make it work with Dreamgallery, to develop a demonstration version of the system. The thesis describes the approach for developing an easy-to-use and customisable program and interface for making reservations. How this is inserted into an existing program in a suitable way.

At the plant of Sandvik do Brasil in São Paulo there is a need for improving the transport of inserts between the plant building and the stock building. The idea is to install a system with an Automated Guided Vehicle (AGV) to take care of this transportation. The purpose of this report is to present which demands there are on the system and to find the best solution according to the demands.To conclude this work a study was made of the plant and the AGV technology was examined. Several providers of AGV solutions were contacted to get information about prices and detailed solutions.The conclusion was that the most suitable system for this application is a small unit load vehicle using inductive wire as guiding system..

One of Banverket Trafiks information systems (Opera) presents the train?s actual position on a map and provides the user with physical information about the trains. Due to increasing demands on the information systems, Banverket Trafik needs to update the present system architecture in order to manage the increasing demands on map graphics and map functions. Användbarheten av IT-system förbättras ständigt och företag har fokus på att förbättra sina IT-system som företagets kunderna använder då det leder till fler och nöjdare kunder. Annorlunda ser det ut för interna IT-system, alltså datasystem som används av medarbetare och som ska förenkla arbetsuppgifter, effektivisera arbetet eller även möjliggöra att utöva arbetsuppgifter vid en arbetsmiljö på distans. Användbarheten av interna IT-system står inte lika mycket i fokus som användbarheten av kundcentrerade system och istället för att åtgärda brister i användbarheten tvingas medarbetarna att lära sig hantera IT-systemets brister.Utgångspunkten för arbetet var funderingarna över vilken betydelse användbarheten har för ett företag när det gäller interna IT-system vid en arbetsmiljö på distans. Ansatsen var att undersöka om användbarhetsproblem i praktiken leder till att användarna upplever ett IT-system som dåligt i den särskilda situationen av ett arbetsmiljö på distans. I en fallstudie utvärderades ett IT-system som används av försäkringsombud som arbetar på distans med hjälp av en enkätundersökning och användarintervjuar samt hierarkiska uppgiftsanalyser.

This thesis examines how knowledge management professionals use trust as a component in the creation of knowledge management systems, and what methods they use for building trust.Adopting a grounded theory approach, interviews with 8 knowledge management professionals active in different industries served as the base for an analysis that identified trust to be the single most important common factor in the data. The concept of trust used by the informants was identified as relating to the knowledge management system itself, rather than other users, employees or groups in an organisation.Building trust, the KM-professionals mainly focused on three methods: simple solutions, system superiority, and implementation security. Using these methods, the KM-professionals seek to ensure system trust by creating opportunities for users to obtain positive experiences of using the system, and thereby generate a foundation for a trust-based relationship between the user and the system..

Inom området psykologisk behandling har intresset för känsloreglering och svårigheter med känsloreglering som gemensam nämnare vid psykisk ohälsa allt mer ökat. Vid behandling enligt Dialektisk Beteendeterapi av Borderline personlighetsstörning har svårigheter med känsloreglering varit en central del, både att i behandling arbeta med för att uppnå ett större fungerande, och i förståelsen av svårigheter hos individer som har fått diagnosen. Vid utvärdering av behandling har dock instrument riktade specifikt mot känsloreglering och eventuella svårigheter saknats. Denna studie har undersökt om frågeformuläret Difficulties in Emotion Regulation Scale (DERS) kan användas för detta syfte. Resultatet visar en användarvänlighet av formuläret och signifikanta skillnader i svaren mellan en patientgrupp med diagnosen Borderline personlighetsstörning och en kontrollgrupp.

The purpose of this thesis is to investigate how Digital Signage systems such as public info kiosks can be designed to better fulfill its main use; to enlighten, encourage and influence the public with information. The challenges presented from earlier studies shows that the public interests and goals, together with proper and relevant content displayed in info kiosks have impact on the attention the public have towards public displays. Qualitative methods such as interviews, usability testing and observations were conducted to further examine how a public info kiosk can be designed to draw attention and grow interest amongst students at K3, Malmo University. Usability testing were used on the digital prototypes that were developed to ensure that the gestural user interface meet the requirements of a proper interaction from the users. Important insights were made concerning; the attention and interest to relevant content, the aspects of the gestural user interface along with the placement of the info kiosk in terms of context.

Genom att implementera personliga editeringsflikar och stubbar är det möjligt att ha revisisionskontroll i ett realtidsbaserat system. Dock för att detta ska vara effektivt och användbart bör detta endast användas i specifika fall och med noggrann granskning.Fallstudien som genomförts visar inte på några imponerande siffror men en förbättring är fortfarande möjlig vid specifika fall..

This thesis has been done in collaboration with Peab Stockholm Building 3, which is a region within the Peab Sverige AB. The report is based on a survey and studies of Peab business management systems and production literature. For general information gathering has literature from well-known sources collected in libraries and through the Internet. It shows through the work that Peab has routines for experience feedback in the construction process, but that these procedures work in a small scale and the practical work experience feedback does not work at all. Syftet med detta examensarbete var att klargöra om de konstskapande aktiviteterna vid Sunderby Folkhögskolas Konstskola har hälsofrämjande effekter på Konstskolans elever och hur dessa i så fall yttrar sig. En enkät baserad på en svensk version av Perceived Stress Scale (PSS) användes för att mäta individuella aktuella stressnivåer och genom semistrukturerade intervjuer söktes svar på frågorna: Vilken stressreducerande och rehabiliterande potential har Konstskolans ordinarie utbildning? Finns det skillnader i studenternas relationer till stress, kreativitet och livskvalitet/välbefinnande idag jämfört med innan konststudierna? samt Har bakgrundsvariablerna betydelse för de studerandes stressnivå och hur de upplever och värderar stress? Resultaten visade på ett svagt negativt samband mellan stressnivå och ålder respektive omfattning av tidigare konstnärlig aktivitet. Intervjuerna bekräftade hälsofrämjande effekter av konstskapande aktiviteter i termer av utveckling av copingstrategier, kreativitet och välbefinnande..

Syftet med undersökningen var att studera huruvida psykologiska faktorer påverkar skaderisken för elitfotbollsspelande damer. Detta inkluderade också att undersöka sambandet mellan dagliga stressorer och uppkomsten av idrottsskador. Totalt deltog 42 kvinnliga fotbollsspelare i åldrarna 16-25 år. Via en prospektiv design inkluderades en förmätning med hjälp av enkäterna LESCA, SSP, Fotball Worry Scale samt Brief COPE. I tretton veckor fyllde sedan deltagarna i enkäten Daily Hassle Scale.

Both bigger and smaller organizations, professional and non-professional developers use these web APIs to add value to their systems or use it to create new applications. This is an area study where alot of research has been done in the last few years. In spite of this there are still no user-centered evaluation methods for web APIs.
