THE THIN RED LINE ? Identity in theory and method With this essay I want to explore some possibilities with the term identity within archaeology. Identity is a term best understood in the light of different scientific approaches. For instance the anthropological and historical angel combined with the quality of archaeology, as is the case in this essay. By combining these approaches, I create a (clarification) method of exploring traces of identity.By analysing two different graves from Scania, having a negligible number of artefacts from the Viking Age, and three graves from Bornholm, known for its large number of finds from this period, I test the ability of my method.

The study sheds light on pupils individual plans of development and portfolios from the perspective of children. It has an ethnographic standpoint. It was carried out on children and pupils in pre-school, pre-school class and third grade. By further investigating how children and pupils use their individual development plans and portfolios, in which settings and to whom they communicate them, this study is able to grasp the discourse that is created around the instrument itself. This study is also interested in and aims to find the theoretical frame, in essence, which envelops both the construction of childhood and children?s own activities within the limitations and opportunities that this structure offers.

Vilka problem med den matematiska förståelsen anser matematiklärare att elever med problem i svenska språket har? Vilka undervisningssätt anser lärare är bäst för att utveckla den matematiska förståelsen hos elever med problem i svenska?.

De nationella styrdokumenten för gymnasiet påvisar att läraren skall undervisa om samtbedöma elevernas prestationer i språkhistoria. I dagsläget saknas det forskning om hurverksamma lärare skall didaktisera det språkhistoriska momentet i svenskundervisningen.Som konsekvens av detta blir momentet starkt bundet till de läromedel som används, där despråkhistoriska epokerna är tydligt avgränsade till att beskriva utveckling av det svenskaspråket ur en historisk aspekt. Därmed framträder det dilemma som denna studie har somsyfte att belysa.En kvalitativ undersökningsmetod med semistrukturerade intervjuer användes för att sökasvar till hur fem verksamma gymnasielärare i dagsläget undervisar i det språkhistoriskamomentet. Centralt för studiens frågeställningar är hur respondenterna angriper despråkhistoriska epokerna i undervisningen samt hur de tydliggör det faktum attspråkförändring är ett konstant fenomen.Studiens resultat visar att det språkhistoriska momentet får relativt lite utrymme isvenskämnet, möjligen till följd av att den lokala arbetsplanen lyser med sin frånvaro. Denundervisning som existerar är starkt bunden till de läroböcker som respondenterna användersig av i undervisningen, men det blir tydligt att momentet får en erfarenhetspedagogisk prägelnär det sätts i praktiken trots läroböckernas traditionella framställning.

Denna studie avser att undersöka och analysera fyra verksamma lärares uppfattningar om det vidgade textbegrepp som uttrycks i kursplanen i svenska 2000 och vilken betydelse deras uppfattning om det begreppet får för elevers undervisning i svenskämnet. Studien ska dessutom undersöka och analysera deras uppfattningar om hur ett vidgat textbegrepp kan förstås och relateras gentemot styrdokumenten i svenskämnet. För att fånga fyra lärares uppfattningar om ett vidgat textbegrepp och vilken betydelse deras uppfattning får för deras elevers svenskundervisning, har intervjuer genomförts i grundskolan med fyra lärare i år 6-9. Förhoppningen var att dessa intervjuer skulle ge en bild av verksamma lärares uppfattning om ett vidgat textbegrepp och hur det gestaltas i deras undervisning. Resultatdelen i uppsatsen upplyser om de fyra lärarnas olika uppfattningar om ett vidgat textbegrepp och vilken betydelse det får för elevers undervisning i svenskämnet.The purpose of this study is to examine and analyze the understanding, of four teachers, about the wide text concept as it is put in the Swedish curriculum of 2000, and what meaning their opinion has for their teaching in Swedish arts.

This is a study of seven men that have suffered from a cruel punishment. The punishment involved getting their ear/ears cut off, prison with more torture and their families being deported from their homes to another town.My sample involved seven Iraqi men who suffered from this punishment during Saddams regime, they got this punishment because they refused to fight against Iran and Kuwait. I went to Iraq and met with the men in person and did interviews with them to understand the effect of the punishment on their personalities, and how the punishment have influenced their lives and interaction with other people in the society and around them.The study focuses on their suffering and how they have been able to live with this stigma. The method the study has used is the kvalitative method that involved interviewing them in their country Iraq and analyse their answers and then come to the results. My study was between 26 of March 2004 to 26 of April 2004.My study is based on the theory of social interaction and especially the symbolic interaction theories of G.H.

Microsoft launched a new operating system, Windows 8, during 2012. An interesting feature for Windows 8 is that applications can be developed using different programming languages but still provide the same functionality regardless of the language used. Two combinations of programming languages are: XAML with C# and HTML with JavaScript. This thesis examines if there are any advantages or disadvantages when choosing a specific combination of languages to develop Windows 8 applications with. My study was conducted to provide a deeper understanding of the identity of employee soldiers in the armed forces and their experience of their role in the military context. To describe and identify the soldier's identity formation, values and norms working in group processes are taken into account. As the individual identifies her or himself whit the group, the various phenomena as hostility to other military groups arise. The individuals weld together with other group members to form strong normative relationships within the group. Through a qualitative research approach eight soldiers in a regiment in western Sweden were interviewed, four of them were group executives or deputy group leaders and others were ordinary soldiers.

The main purpose of this essay was to find out how members of Narcotics Anonymous and professionals within the socila service departments define integration of drug addicts, and ascertain how they experience their parts in the integration process. We have wanted to examine which factors that are essential for the earlier drogabuser in his rehabilitation to the ordinary world.We wanted to find out as much as possible of the integration aspect. That´s the reason for our choice to do qualitative interviews with both people from the social service department and Narcotics Anonymous. We also obtained material from relevant litterature. In our analysis, we have started from three theoretical basis.

The aim of this paper is to perform a comparative study between the photography?s of Leila Khaled and Shirin Neshat in order to observe if the woman are able to recede from an conventional formation to become the bearer of the veil and not only reduced to that whichneeds to be concealed. The aim of this master?s thesis is to explore concert institutions? informative texts prior to upcoming concerts ? texts in promotional materials and descriptive texts in programme papers. The thesis is carried out from a critical discourse analytical perspective. The discourse analysis is focusing on finding the texts? messages and it asks the question: To whom are these texts addressed? Theoretical support is mainly taken from Foucault?s theory about the relation between power and knowledge.

Det här arbetet syftar till att fördjupa min kunskap så att jag kan avgöra hur jag skall lägga upp min undervis-ning i svenska. Jag vill undervisa så att eleverna möts av respekt, känner trygghet och kan utvecklas till har-moniska människor, samt bevarar och utvecklar sin lust att lära. För att fördjupa min kunskap återvänder jag i denna litteraturstudie till källor som inspirerat mig under lärar-utbildningen. Jag arbetar utifrån teserna att dessa inspirationskällor har en gemensam teoretisk grund, och att denna grund måste få metodiska konsekvenser. Jag presenterar under rubrikerna "Människosyn", "Kunskapssyn" och "Språksyn" de grundläggande synsätt som författarna till litteraturen uttrycker.

This project is about the development of a application to aid deafblind people with time understanding. The application is written in C# language and have multiple functions to alarm the user. The application can alarm deafblind persons through a combination of sounds, pictures and vibrations. Syftet med denna litteraturstudie är att analysera tvåspråkighet med fokus på andraspråk, modersmål och interaktion. Vi ville också undersöka hur dessa effekter påverkar elevens utveckling och kommunikation i klassrummet. Dagens skola har blivit en kulturell mötesplats för både elever och lärare där flerspråkigheten utvecklas. Interaktion i skolan är en viktig faktor för att alla elever ska känna en gemenskap i klassrummet. Syftet med denna studie är att med hjälp av forskning om tvåspråkighet undersöka hur tvåspråkighet påverkar elevernas kunskapsutveckling.
