I den här kvantitativa undersökningen söker jag svar på frågorna: "Hur framställs eller gestaltas de olika partiledarna i bilder publicerade i Aftonbladet, Expressen, Dagens Nyheter och Svenska Dagbladet under valrörelsen från den 19 augusti 2010 till den 19 september 2010" och "Finns det skillnader mellan hur de olika tidningarna framställer eller gestaltar de olika partiledarna och hur ser dessa skillnader i så fall ut?". Med hjälp av teorier kring nyhetsvärdering och gestaltning försöker jag förklara varför bildrapporteringen ser ut som den gör. Genom att analysera 891 bilder med hjälp av ett fyrtiotal variabler har jag till exempel kunnat se att Sahlin och Reinfeldt är de som får mest utrymme i alla kategorier, att Åkesson behandlas annorlunda än de andra och att Expressen är partisk i sin rapportering till fördel för Reinfeldt och till nackdel för Sahlin. Jag har också sett att kvällstidningarna och dagstidningarna till viss del arbetar efter olika medielogiker- även när det gäller bildrapportering..

Arbetets syfte är att belysa konstkritikernas roll i debatten om det svenska samtida konsthantverket och att ge en bild av det recenserade konsthantverket i Sverige under de senaste tio åren. Utifrån syftet besvaras frågeställningen: Hur beskrivs samtida konsthantverk inom konstkritiken i ledande svensk morgonpress under perioden 1997-2008? Frågan besvaras genom en kvalitativ dokumentstudie, där konstkritik i Dagens Nyheter och Svenska Dagbladet tolkas. Några utsnitt har gjorts: juli 1997 och januari 1998, samt juli 2007 och januari 2008. Begreppsförklaringar samt historisk och teoretisk anknytning ges för ämnesområdena konsthantverk, konstkritik och kvalitet.

This study concerns how Muslims are portrayed in a choice of twelve news articles from Swedish dailies and tabloid newspapers on the aftermath of the film Innocence of Muslims published on YouTube. All articles are distributed in the newspapers Aftonbladet, Expressen, Dagens Nyheter and Svenska Dagbladet in the period of September 11th, 2012 until September 30th, 2012.For this study, a qualitative text analysis has been embraced and focus has been on van Dijk?s Critical discourse analysis to the texts, with additional features from semiotics applied on the images.The theories consist of Critical discourse analysis, hegemony, ideology and power, postcolonialism and stereotyping.In the qualitative content analysis, concrete examples from the articles are retrieved and commented. These have been divided into various themes, which are trends that the authors have been able to distinguish in the analysis.The result shows that Muslims in the analyzed newspapers are portrayed as the others, unimportant and extremely religious, in a negative manner rather than a positive. Moreover the press has tendencies to generalize Muslims as a group.

Skolan är ett ämnesområde som har debatterats under en längre period i samhället, inte minst har detta kunnat betraktas ske i media. Det har skett en livlig diskussion kring gymnasieskolan och dess teoretiska program och yrkesprogram, där exempelvis programmens utformning och uppdrag har debatterats. Någonting som även har berörts i diskussionerna kring gymnasieskolan och dess program är dess relation till arbetsmarknaden och till högre utbildningsformer, så som universitet och högskola. Inte minst har detta skett den nya gymnasieförordningen, SFS 2010:2039, trädde i kraft under 2011. Detta arbete stävar efter att synliggöra hur media i form av tre tidningar, Skolvärlden, Svenska Dagbladet och Dagens Nyheter, under perioden från 2011-01-01 till 2012-12-31 har valt att presentera debatten kring de teoretiska och de praktiska yrkesprogrammen i gymnasieskolan i sina artiklar. .

The voltage level in the power grid varies due to variations in load and production. Normally these variations are manageable, but they may be excessively large during a disturbance. If the voltage is too high it may damage the equipment in the grid and too low voltages may cause problems like voltage instability. The magnitude of the voltage variation depends on the short circuit power capacity of the point of interest.This problem may become lore prominent due to automatic voltage regulation that acts on shunt reactors and shunt capacitors. When the shunt reactor is connected or disconnected to the grid it may cause such large changes in the voltage that the shunt reactor starts hunting.

Visuell radio eller ljudbildspel i radio är i stort sett ett outforskat område. Att det går att göra visuell eller audiovisuell radio rent praktiskt och tekniskt står klart - publiceringsverktygen och tekniska lösningar finns. Det detta arbete problematiserar och diskuterar är hur visuell radio skulle kunna utformas och gestaltas både utifrån ett produktionsperspektiv och ett mottagarperspektiv. Detta sker genom att titta på mediaföretagens multimediala publiceringar men också genom att förstå hur deras redaktionerna tänker om hur ljud och bild kan samverka. Bland annat intervjuas personer som arbetar på New York Times, Svenska Dagbladet, DuckRabbit och MediaStorm för att få denna inblick.

The aim of this study is to examine how ADHD is discussed in the Swedish mass media. We have examined 21 articles from Aftonbladet, Expressen, Dagens Nyheter, Göteborgs-Posten and Svenska Dagbladet. All articles are reviewed from the newspapers online edition.Theories used are Erving Goffman?s theory of Stigma and Michael Foucault´s theory of categorization as well as Göran Palm's, Renée Skogersson's and Anders R. Olsson's theories about mass media.

Kejneaffären i början av 1950-talet var en så kallad rättsröteaffär där en pastor Kejne anklagade rättstaten för korruption med homosexuella undertoner. I den här uppsatsen har jag undersökt hur tidningar framställde homosexualitet och homosexuella män i texter förknippde med Kejneaffärens inledande månader som medial såpopera. Den tidigare forskningen menar att det mediala klimatet var homofobiskt, vilket innebär rädsla och intolerans gentemot gruppen homosexualitet. Den homosexuelle framställdes som "den andre", som ett hot mot det normala samhället. Detta ville jag undersöka närmare genom att studera hur andrefieringen och det stereotypiseringen skedde.

This BA Thesis in Journalism is a quantitative analysis of the coverage of wolves in Swedish printed media. Namely four daily newspapers, two national and two local. The two national newspapers are Aftonbladet which is a leading tabloid newspaper with national coverage and Svenska Dagbladet which is one of the two major newspapers with national coverage, as well as coverage of the greater Stockholm region. The two local newspapers are Falu Kuriren, which is located in Falun and mainly cover the province of Dalarna and Nya Wermlands-tidningen which is located in Karlstad and mainly cover the province of Värmland. These are provinces which have a large wolf population.As the work progressed we found that the newspapers have handled the coverage of the wolf in, what we believe, a good way.
