Annonsmediers miljöpåverkan : när ska miljön få en reklampaus?

The aim of the thesis was to investigate energy consumption and carbon dioxide emissions from an advertisement broadcasted on the radio or the television or distributed through press. The object was to calculate the amount of carbon dioxide emissions per individual receiver of an advertisement in Sweden. There was no room for a deeper investigation into editorial work within the framework of the thesis. Consequently, main focus of the radio and television study was on broadcasting itself and the components involved. Focus for the press study was on paper production, printing and distribution. Production and discarding of media equipment was not taken into account.

PR och marknadsföring inom sociala medier : En studie kring riskerna att vara social i sociala medier

Social media provides a new position of power to the single individual within PR and marketing campaigns. When a company uses social media as a communication tool in their PR and marketing practice, they have to adapt themselves after the customers' needs and the new communication structure within social media. Communication in social medi is different from traditional media, which is more one-way communicative and visual in its interaction, rather than the digital media that are more two-way communicative av viral through dialogue. If a company creates PR and marketing campaigns within social media without adjusting to the new rules of communication through dialogue, and instead try to apply traditional one-way communication to their social campaigns, they put themselves and their brands in risk of public humiliation and loss of customers; the speed of the viral dialogue over social media can spread bad news fast, and with the newfound power of the single individual, the impliacations can thus be devastating for a company and its brand. If an organization does not respond and take part of the criticism that may be directed at them through the customers' comments, the negative dialogue among clients and the public within social media can quickly create a hazard enviorment for a company and its brand to be seen in. The public within these social media platforms are more independent and continuously conversing with each other on a local an global scale.

Since product placement is a relatively new phenomenon in Swedish television, there is a lack of research on what attitudes Swedish TV-viewers hold towards it. This is where our paper will contribute to the research. The purpose of this reserachpaper is to describe and analyze what attitude Swedish TV-viewers has towards product placement. Kim Schröders multidimensional model of mass media reception were used, which is a developed model from Stuart Hall?s ?encoding/decoding? one-dimensional model.

Den heterosexuella bibliotekarien: Om BTJ, folkbibliotek och indexering av gaylitteratur

This Master?s Thesis examines the subject indexing of all Swedish gay fiction published from year 2000 until 2007. This is done from a queer theoretical- and domain analytical perspective. The study is conducted in the catalogue BURKsök created by BTJ which is the largest library media company in Sweden. The purpose of the study is to examine the heterosexual norm in fiction indexing and to study to what extent gay fiction is to be found by subject.

Regionaliseringens effekter pa? svensk filmmusik : En kvalitativ studie av nutida filmskapares produktionsma?ssiga fo?rutsa?ttningar

This thesis examines Swedish filmmakers' modes of work and production within the Swedish film landscape. An introductory historical overview treats the Swedish regionalization since the mid 1990's. Political and economical aspects of producing films in various regions serve as a background for understanding the new generation of decentralised Swedish filmmaking, and the use of sound and music in contemporary film. The analysis consists of empirical studies; interviews with directors and producers, working with music for film and TV. Although the filmmaking perspective is in focus, composers and film scholars are heard as well.

In addition tothis, study how journalists today respond to these changes.Material/Method: The study is based on Deuze?s theories about journalistic ideals,Jenkins? theories about convergence culture, and on theories about professionalizationand de-professionalization based on Nygren, Wiik and Torstendahl?s theories. Thestudy is based on eight interviews with professional journalists, four employedjournalists and four freelance journalists. Obesity and overweight are today classified as one of the largest epidemics in the Western world and is threaten a large part of the population. As a reaction to this a major health trend has emerged in recent decades. Every day consumers are exposed to information from the media about what is healthy or unhealthy to eat and the recommendations change frequently.There is great interest in healthy food on the Swedish food market, but still healthy foods only represents a small proportion of the total food sales. The essay examines the gap between the current and potential demand for healthy food and if it can be explained by any of the following factors: lack of information, price, taste or cognitive behavioral.To study these questions a quantitative method have been used and 213 questionnaires were collected. The intention is to draw general conclusions about the entire population.

This Bachelors exam is about young adults and their use of Mobile Social Network System.The use of mobile social media has become more common in today?s society, ranging fromteenagers, the dominating internet users, to the elderly. The traditional purpose of use inmobile phones, the voice communication from one place to another, has in Sweden beendominated by text communication instead. Along with the development of Smartphones andthe mobile interface, the births of mobile social media have increased in the market.Reports have shown that of all the devices with the possibility to connect to social networks,the one kept closest to our bodies is the mobile phone. Reklam och kritiskt tänkande i gymnasieskolan

I mitt arbete vill jag visa på hur man med hjälp av reklamanalys kan uppnå läroplanens för kritiskt tänkande i gymnasieskolan, samt ge eleverna en möjlighet att utveckla en förmåga att kritiska granska media. Detta sker först genom en teoretisk ram och här utreder jag begreppet media literacy och genom att finna en definition på vad kritiskt tänkande är. Sedan lyfter jag fram två pedagogiska verktyg som kan användas i arbetet med att analysera reklam, semiotisk bildanalys och textanalys. Slutligen gör jag en analys av en reklamannons och gör pedagogiska och didaktiska kopplingar till analysen. Jag visar genom mitt arbete varför det är viktigt att odla kunskaper och förmåga att kritiskt granska medietexter, och vilka pedagogiska verktyg man som lärare kan rusta sig med..

Ämnesövergripande undervisning i läsförståelse : Mellanstadielärares kompetens och undervisningsstrategier i olika ämnen

In this study, six teachers have been interviewed about their vision and teaching of reading comprehension, both for pupils who has cleared the reading code and those who have not. The aim is to illustrate if teachers in middle school spend time to exercise reading comprehension, or if this is left to the Swedish teachers. Thus only according to the subject Swedish, the students are entitled to be given the opportunity to develop reading strategies.The interviews are semi-structured based on qualitative research. The informants are three teachers of Swedish and three teachers of other subjects. Two different interview guides were used containing three questions.

It follows Janda's categorization of Russian B?-verbs into semantic groups and compares Swedish phrasal verbs with the particle "ut" to the semantics of the Russian prefix B?-. The material consists of Russian B?-verbs and their Swedish translations retrieved from Norstedts ryska ordbok.

We have chosen to analyze how four well known sex crimes were presented in the Swedish national daily newspapers in the 2000s. We chose this topic because sex crimes are considered one of the most terrible crimes. Sex crimes involve the media and upset the society. Our purpose was to analyze if we could identify stereotypes and prejudices about sex crimes in the press reports.The four sex crimes were: Rissne case in 2000, Tumba case in 2003, Hagamannen case in 2006 and the Stureplan case in 2007. We have read all the news stories from the Swedish national daily newspapers Svenska dagbladet and Expressen about our four cases.

Kommunikationsforum för egenvård : En undersökning i hur en diabetikers behov av egenvård kan tillgodoses via sociala media

Diabetes är en kronisk sjukdom som klassas som en av vår tids folksjukdomar. Diabetes gör att sockerhalten i blodet är för hög då kroppens förmåga att ta hand om socker inte längre   fungerar. Personer med diabetes är därmed i behov av att själva ha kontroll över sin blodsockernivå genom egenvård, utan inverkan från hälso- och sjukvården. Dagligen används olika sociala medier inom exempelvis underhållning och utbildning men behovet finns även för människor att skaffa sig information, stöd och rådgivning inom hälsa. Syftet med detta arbete är att undersöka möjligheten att hjälpa personer hitta kommunikationspartners via sociala media inom hälsa i liknande situation och förhållanden samt identifiera de problem som uppstår när människor delar med sig av sin hälsa på sociala medier och att skapa en internettjänst som föreslår en eventuell lösning på problemet.

Politiska åsikter och attityder - hur mediepåverkan skiljer sig mellan äldre och yngre : En kvantitativ studie

Syftet med studien är att undersöka till vilken utsträckning människor upplever att de påverkas av media i sina attityder och åsikter kring politik, Och studera åldersskillnader mellan åldersgrupperna 18-25 och 65+. Vi ville även undersöka vilken inverkan medias politiska rapportering har på respondenterna. Det gjordes en kvantitativ undersökning i form av en enkätstudie. Enkäter delades ut till 104 respondenter, 52 i åldersgruppen 18-25 och 52 i åldersgruppen 65+. Resultatet visade att det finns vissa ålderskillnader i hur espondenterna upplever påverkan från media i sina politiska åsikter.
