Manlig förskollärare sökes : En studie av manliga pedagoger i förskolan

The purpose with this essay is to get a deeper insight into why there is a lack of male educators in Swedish preschools. I also want to know which role the male educators have in comparison to the female educators. This essay builds on four questions, which covers:The cause of the lack of males in Swedish preschoolsIf there are any gender bound expectations on male educators in the Swedish preschoolsWhat the woman educators perceive about the roles of the male educators in the Swedish preschoolsHow the male educator experience his own work in a workplace dominated by womenThe method I have used is a qualitative interview study in which I have interviewed four male educators and two woman educators from three different preschools. The result of this study shows that male educators gave different reasons to why there is a lack of male educators in Swedish childcare. According to the male educators the reason for this situation is that there is a worry to be seen as a feminine person, get singled out as a pedophile and that the childcare sector has low status.

Choosing a new plastic material for a container includes several different steps. In this case,the Finnish company Hackman needed a new type of packaging material for theircutlery- and kitchentool series »Hackman tools«. The project was carried out in cooperationwith the design agency Ytterborn & Fuentes, which has Hackman as a client.Several different demands were put on the material in order to fulfill as many of the clientswishes as possible. The most urgent problem with the existing container was the difficultysfor the customer to clearly see the contents in the container. Because of this problemthe customer tried to open the container in the shop.

Kvinnorna vid makten : En fallstudie om skillnader och likheter mellan svenska och amerikanska kvinnliga ledare.

 The purpose of this case study was to view if there were any differences and similarities between Swedish and American female leaders, with focus on the Swedish female leaders. We also wanted to find out if the American female leaders had problem whit the classcelling.Our case study is a quality method, because we wanted to reach the dep't that quality methods can reach. We interviewed four Swedish female leaders and tried to get in touch whit American female leaders but whit out any success. So instead we analyzed already existing research about the American female leadership. Our result showed that there were some differences between the two countries; in the same time we also found similarities. The classcelling tends to exist more in Sweden than in the US.   .

Varumärkeshantering vid fusioner

Bakgrund: Fusioner har blivit en allt vanligare företeelse, inte minst bland svenska banker och försäkringsbolag. Varumärken är ett annat aktuellt område och starka varumärken anses vara en av företagens viktigaste tillgångar. Stora forskarinsatser har gjorts om dessa två områden men kunskapen om hur varumärken skall hanteras vid fusioner är fortfarande liten.Syfte: Syftet med denna uppsats är att undersöka hur den varumärkesproblematik som uppstår vid en fusion hanteras av svenska bank- och försäkringsföretag och utifrån detta ge en egen option på hur denna hantering bör gå till.Genomförande: För att besvara syftet har vi utgått ifrån litteratur och genomfört intervjuer med sex svenska bank- och försäkringsföretag samt med tre varumärkeskonsulter och tre anställda vid reklambyråer. Utifrån dessa intervjuer och den befintliga litteraturen har vi gett en egen option på hur varumärkeshanteringen vid fusioner bör bedrivas.Resultat: Vad företag måste göra innan en fusion är att se över om de kärnvärderingar som finns i respektive varumärke går att kombinera, samt om en lösning på varumärkeshantering som är acceptabel både för företagens anställda och kunder kan nås. Kan en acceptabel lösning på dessa frågor nås är en fusion möjlig.

The aim of this two-year masters thesis is to look for the Swedish public library´s core business, using theories about competence. The approach is qualitative. It is done by studying the Unesco Public Library Manifesto, the Swedish library legislation, the education in library and information science, two important Swedish library related journals and by asking public librarians about their work and point of view regarding competence.The research shows mainly two sides of the core competence of public librarians: information technology competence and literature knowledge. The conclusion is that the two meet in the idea of mass education, which could therefore be called the Swedish public library´s core business..

Marketers of today are confronted by the fact that it is increasingly difficult to gain the customer's attention, as they first have to break through the ad clutter. In a landscape where the general attitude towards advertising is negative, one way to successfully deliver the message to the customer involves communicating through personal impact. By using stimuli containing identical information with different senders, this thesis seeks to quantitatively explore whether brands can make use of the personal networks of its employees, in their social media marketing strategy. The purpose of the study is to investigate if communication via the employees could enhance traditional communication effects, such as buying intention and electronic WOM intention. Furthermore, the study aims to examine which role the employee should hold when communicating on behalf of the brand, and if the communication effects vary with the degree of product involvement.
