Studien syftar till att undersöka förekomsten av hållbar utveckling i Lpo94, då vi utifrån våra erfarenheter inom skolan inte har sett någon undervisning för hållbar utveckling bedrivas. Ytterligare en anledning till att undersöka förekomsten är då Sverige ingår i flera internationella överenskommelser där det framkommer att undervisning för hållbar utveckling ska vara prioriterat. Då en ny läroplan, Lgr11, träder i kraft 1juli 2011 undersöktes även förekomsten av hållbar utveckling däri, då studien syftar till att undersöka huruvida det skett förändringar till fördel för undervisning för hållbar utveckling i Lgr11 i förhållande till Lpo94. Vid analysen av läroplanerna användes en metodtriangulering, i form av innehållsanalyser, textanalyser samt komparativa analyser. Inför analyserna fastställdes några kriterier som utgick från innebörden av hållbar utveckling, vilka hela studien sedan kom att bygga på.

This research outlines studies about the relationship between social integration process of Japanese immigrants in Sweden and how social media assists in this process. The purpose of this research includes: To find out the reasons of migration to Sweden for six Japanese immigrants, any difficulties that they faced at the beginning of their immigration process and/or any positive qualities that they found in living in Sweden, whether they have accessed social media since they have moved in, if they do so, how the social media has been used and also, whether the social media has had a role to play in contributing to help their social integration process. In addition, it has been considered whether the participants have plans to return to Japan. In Sweden, there is relatively small Japanese migrant population. This social science research paper is the first in Sweden which explores the immigration process of Japanese migrants into Sweden.

A wish for a higher standard of living has driven the rate of consumption in Sweden. Mainfocus in business is on a higher growth and profitability where some companies use a lowprice strategy to win competitive advantage. The positive consumption pattern spiral is oftendiscussed in media, while criticism is limited and often refers to the environment. Syftet med denna studie har varit att undersöka de val, inslag och strategier som präglar nyanlända flyktingars vardag. För att kunna uppfylla syftet har fyra flyktingar intervjuats och uppsatsens disposition har strukturerats efter det som de upplevt som relevanta inslag i vardagen. Uppsatsens teoretiska ram är fenomenologisk, där fokus läggs på studiet av individers dagliga liv och den kunskap som styr utformningen av det. Materialet visar att informanterna trots skilda personligheter, olika förflutet och skild etnisk bakgrund skildrar vardagen på liknande sätt. De likartade upplevelserna visar på att tillvaron till stor del ordnas utifrån de valmöjligheter som samhället erbjuder och att utformandet av den personliga livsplanen struktureras efter dessa..

Vid EU:s toppmöte i Lissabon i mars år 2000 enades de aktuella medlemsländerna om att unionen år 2010 ska vara världens mest konkurrenskraftiga och dynamiska kunskapsbaserade ekonomi, med möjlighet till hållbar ekonomisk tillväxt med fler och bättre arbetstillfällen och en högre grad av social sammanhållning. Den fria rörligheten framhålls av många ekonomer och samhällsdebattörer som en viktig faktor för regionens ökade tillväxt och utveckling. I denna studie behandlas Lissabonstrategins inverkan på unga vuxna, i detta fall gymnasiestuderande, på den europeiska utbildnings- och arbetsmarknaden. Studiens empiriska undersökning utreder vilka geografiska horisonter tio gymnasiestuderande på två svenska utlandsskolor i Spanien har gällande sin framtida studie- och yrkessituation. Dessa redan ?internationaliserade? elever kan antas vara idealiska medborgare i en region som uppmuntrar fri rörlighet och ökade gemensamma lösningar över nationsgränserna. Enligt Högskoleverket föreligger ett behov av en ökad internationalisering av såväl studie- och yrkesvägledarutbildningen som dessa yrkesverksamma.

In the field of municipal services there are a wide range of aspects a small community must consider, especially considering that the circumstances in which a municipality operate continuously are changing. The changes include, for example, migration, individual lifestyles, the political governance and environment. Especially the latter might have a big impact on a town based on tourism such as Borgholm. We particularly have taken an interest for how this might affect the internal branding and internal brand communication of Borgholm municipality.Through our research we have found that Borgholm municipality in no particular extent is working with living the brand or any similar concepts. Also, we have found that the success of the internal branding of the organization in a great extent depend on the individuals of the different branches of the municipality?s work rather than on a coherent communication structure which reaches the whole organization..

This thesis is about catastrophe tourism and the sustainability of the tourism in an environmental perspective. The purpose is to see if there is any interest for that kind of tourism and to see if the people who have an interest or curiosity of it thinks about the environment when they are traveling. A quantitative survey was made on the internet and people on Facebook, Resedagboken.se and Reseforum.se had the chance to answer it. There is an interest of catastrophe tourism and a few have been to catastrophe sites or would like to visit. The conclusion of the thesis is that there is a possibility of a sustainable catastrophe tourism because most of those who answered that they had or wanted to visit a catastrophe site also thought about the environment and cleaning up after themselves..

Vi presenterar vårt examensarbete i form av projektredogörelse med tillhörande estetisk gestaltning i form av en barnbok. Vi har genomfört kvalitativa intervjuer med fyra förskolepedagoger som arbetar aktivt med hållbar utveckling. Syftet med intervjuerna var att samla in material om deras arbetssätt gällande motivations och inspirationsarbete om hållbar utveckling. Resultatet tillsammans med litteratur och teorier presenterar vi i en barnbok. Barnbokens syfte är att motivera och inspirera barn att arbeta med hållbar utveckling..

Most of the sea areas within the European Union are overfished and the catches are estimated to be up to five times lager then the amount to achieve a sustainable fishery. In doing so, the management of EU's marine resources comes to be questioned. The purpose of this study was to analyze EU's administration of marine fisheries and to explore which steps that can be undertaken to counteract the negative trend. The questions of the study were: How does the EU administrate today?s marine fishery recourses? And: How can the problem whit overfishing be discouraged? To answer these questions a comparative analyses were used to compare and evaluate administrative systems.

Music has a role to play in every country and every culture. Sweden today is a country whith many different cultures, religions and music genres. The purpose of this investigation is to study how immigrants youths profit from music education on the basis of music teachers' perspectives. Questions at issue are: are there immigrant children/ youths who can not take part in music education? Have the students' religions any importance? Do the parents question the offered education? Is there more opposition to some specific kind of music? Are teachers avoiding to present some music? Can music education help the immigrant youths to form their identities? I have used questionnaires and I have made five interviews.

Hållbar utveckling handlar inte längre enbart om miljöfrågor, utan har efterhand som komplexiteten av miljöhoten vuxit fram även kommit att inkludera  samhällsstrukturen och ekonomin. Riktlinjer för hur skolan ska undervisa ur ett hållbarhetsperspektiv återges i Lgr11. Men hållbar utveckling är ett vagt begrepp som ger tillfälle till subjektiva tolkningar och är därför inte självklart hur man utifrån hållbarhetsperspektivet ska arbeta med dessa frågor i undervisningen. .

SAMMANFATTNINGI denna uppsats studerar jag social hållbarhet i djupare bemärkelse i syfte att undersöka och definiera åtgärder och arbetssätt som skulle kunna lämpa NCCs byggkoncept - Hållbar renovering. I min studie utgår jag ifrån akademisk forskning och statliga utredningar (som avser bl a miljonprogrammet) samt bostadsområdet Orrholmen som en inspirationskälla. Mitt empiriska material erhålls från intervjuer med NCC, Karlstads Bostads AB och brunnberg & forshed AB.I min analys fokuserar jag på hållbar utveckling, social hållbarhet, brister och potential avseende miljonprogrammet och dess gårdsmiljö, gemensamma och offentliga rum, blandning av bostäder och verksamheter, olika upplåtelseformer, sociala hållbarhetsåtgärder och förslag på fysisk utformning samt analys av bostadsområdet Orrholmen.Sammanfattningsvis visar erhållna slutsatser att social hållbarhet är en dynamiska och komplex dimension och likaså åtgärderna. Kärnan i social hållbarhet är människan och därtill även främjandet av hennes välfärd.De åtgärder som ämnas komplettera Hållbar renovering, bör väljas och bearbetas med omsorg. Brukarnas deltagande före en totalrenovering i kombination med omhändertagande av de faktiska problemen i bostadsområdena skapar positiva och gynnsamma resultat.De allra viktigaste åtgärderna är blandning av såväl bebyggelse och boendegrupper samt låg skala av bebyggelse och blandning av olika upplåtelseformer.Omätbara värden såsom identitet, platskänsla, skönhet och deltagande skapar mervärde och berikar områden.

Abstract - A business to change the world- An analysis of norms Textbooks for International Economics, in Upper-secondary Schools, Sweden 1994-2008 In this paper textbooks, for International Economics in Upper Secondary Schools in Sweden1994-2008, are analyzed with regard to norms related to taking moral responsibility for environment and society. A method for making discourse analysis, previously illustrated by Östman (2008), is used to deconstruct the knowledge content regarding norms about taking responsibility in relation to different social roles. The first question is: what different norms about taking responsibility can be found, in relation to different social roles? Different social roles that can be found in the studied material are: business-people, consumers, politicians/civil servants and citizens. Norms of taking responsibility in relation to the environment and society are studied in this paper in relation to these different roles. The second question is whether a discursive change in the material can be found. One case of discursive change can be found which is related to the role of a business.

During the 1960s and 1970s an increased interest in Native Americans can be seen in Sweden, e.g. through the establishment of organizations such as the Indian Club of Sweden. The aim of this thesis is to study the portrayal of Native Americans and its role through Albin Widén, a Swedish author, ethnologist and member of the Indian Club, and his non-fictional works on the Swedish migration to America, Swedish-America and Swedish contacts with Native Americans. The study is divided into four parts. The first part looks at the portrayal of the Native Americans in Widén?s writings, in comparison with Euro-Americans? and Europeans? traditional stereotypic images of a good and a bad Indian.

Discussions about the sustainable city are now all over the world and many believe that the solutions are merely technical. But what gives the city its character is what is happening in the public places. It is these spaces that bring the people together. Design is the key to sustainable urban spaces. We must produce public places that reflect our society.
