The purpose of this paper is to analyze and map out the cyber culture of the Internet and its all users, identity, design theories and services. How people communicate and how they build up their identities are some of the baselines. I will also discuss the important aspects of Interaction design and how this can be used in a Community for digital storytelling. The Internet, or new media, was founded in the 60?s by some great philosophers (McLuhan, Rheingold, Lambert and more). With influence from their books I will discuss and analyze what kind of media the Internet is and how it can be seen as extensions to our senses, as McLuhan claims.

Transportbranschen kan beskrivas som samhällets blodomlopp och vi är alla beroende av dess tjänster i vårt dagliga liv. Men denna bransch står inför stora utmaningar. Konkurrensen har drivits så långt att vissa aktörer bryter mot lagar och utnyttjar lågavlönad personal. Vilka är konsekvenserna av denna situation? Och vad kan man göra för att vända på denna trend? Sebastian Brännvall har utforskat hur man kan förpacka information så att denna sticker ut och väcker intresse hos en bredare massa.

Detta examensarbete är det avlutande momentet på civilingenjörsutbildningen Ergonomisk design och produktion vid Luleå tekniska universitet. Målet med projektet är att designa en helt ny skotermodell exteriört. Tyngdpunkten i projektet är utseendet men även andra aspekter behandlas, så som ergonomi, materialval och tekniska lösningar. En Internetbaserad enkätundersökning, marknadsundersökning samt systematisk problembehandling ligger till grund för designen av fyra grundkoncept. Dessa undersöks genom strukturerat konceptval samt samråd med uppdragsgivaren.

Syftet med uppsatsen är att bidra till ökad förståelse om samhällskunskapsundervisningens innehåll, genomförande och utformning på gymnasiet där digital teknik används.Fokus i uppsatsen har legat på att genom observationer och intervjuer i tre klasser och med de två lärare som undervisar klasserna få inblickar i hur lärare designar undervisning och hur elevrollen kan förstås när digital teknik används i ämnet samhällskunskap. Till hjälp för att analysera resultatet har analysmodellen Learning Design Sequence och i synnerhet  begreppen lärsekvenser och iscensättning använts. Det senare begreppet syftar på faktorer såsom lärarnas arbetssätt och tillgängliga resurser som präglar en lärsekvens, vilket kan vara elevernas arbete med en uppgift för att nämna ett exempel.Resultatet visar att datorer och Internet ofta i någon form ingår i lärarnas design av undervisningen. Exempelvis har lärarna genomfört genomgångar med hjälp av Powerpointpresentationer samt utformat uppgifter där elever ska använda sig av sina datorer. I elevrollen ingår bland annat att vara dator- och Internetanvändare men också av att anteckna och lyssna.

Between 1999 and 2009, I followed three of my grandparents, all of whom suffered from dementia. Numerous times, when I visited them in their nursing homes, I was met by residents of the ward who were very unhappy. Through conversations at home with my family, I understood more and more that this was a commonly occurring problem at nursing homes. All too often it was solved with heavy medication, which made the residents tired and they slept more often.During my undergraduate education at Konstfack, I have reflected on whether I, as an interior designer and furniture designer, can have an influence on spaces and furniture so that dementia patients can experience greater calm and security. The idea is if that I perceive the environment as calm and secure, I will also be calm and secure.In my degree project, I want to study how interior design and furniture design can contribute to decreased agitation in people with dementia in nursing homes..

Environmental issues are global problems and they are a major challenge for any successful organizational business worldwide. Many challenges and opportunities emerge during the certification process of an EMS. Therefore it is interesting to contribute in understanding these emerging problems during this process.The aim of this study is to explore how the environmental objectives could be achieved at preschools in Uppsala, investigate the perceived challenges and opportunities and to identify the outcome of implementing the ISO 14001, Green Flag at such set up.A qualitative method is used and three Green Flag certified preschools, affiliated to the Uppsala Municipality and located at different geographical location were selected. A structured interview with the environmental representatives from the preschools and the municipality was completed. The so-called PDCA-cycle as a method of evaluating sustainable development and analysing the imperial data is used.The study showed that environmental certification constitutes a great challenge for the municipality of Uppsala.

The purpose of this study is to examine how Viking Line, Tallink Silja and Birka Cruises work with economic and environmental sustainability, and also to see how they work with new environmental legislations. In 2015 a new environmental legislation will be introduced, by the name Sulphur directive. The Sulphur directive entails a reduction in Sulphur dioxide emissions from ships where the emissions cannot exceed 0,1 percent. There are three alternatives to achieve the new environmental legislation, the use of Marine Gas Oil, LNG or scrubbers. All three alternatives will lead to increasing costs for the shipping industry.

This interpretation of the concept of sustainability offers the possibility of combining economic growth with ecological sustainability which stands in contrast to the assumptions of Deep Ecology and Green Theory. Safety, its a word not commonly associated with elderly people living alone. There is however a device that is supposed to bring safety, and enable elderly people to continue living in their present household - an emergency dialer. However these devices does not serve their own purpose in terms of design. Thepurpose of this study is to create an emergency dailer that everybody would want to put on their wrist or bedside table. The market for these devices have looked the same for the last twentyfive years, despite of society´s advancements in both design and technology.
