Världen krymper i och med ökad globalisering, ska vi kunna leva tillsammans på ett hållbart sätt måste vi alla ta vårt ansvar, stora som små, företag som privatpersoner. Detta medför starka argument för att ta fram lättanvända metoder för hållbarhetsgranskning. Sustainable Sweden Southeast AB (SSSE) är ett nätverksföretag som samlar och marknadsför sina delägares miljöteknikkompetens under ett gemensamt varumärke. SSSE har ett hållbarhetsråd som hjälper till att granska nya potentiella delägare, dock saknas i dag en fungerande metod för detta. På uppdrag av SSSE:s VD har en ny metod för granskning arbetats fram, en checklista med hållbarhetskriterier, vilket också är detta examensarbetes syfte.

ABSTRACT This essay is about traffic analysis of Web servers. The purpose is to investigate if companies analyse the traffic on the Web server and if they use this information to create more than simple statistic reports. The questions that we will answer are the following: ? How common is traffic analysis on the Web server among companies? ? Is the Web administrator limited in analysing the Web traffic, if the company has the website on a Web hotel? ? Does the company uses the results they get from analysing the traffic on the Web server for updates and changes on the Web page? To answer these questions we made a questionnaire investigation by telephone interviewing the companies? webmasters. The extent of the investigation was 20 companies in Blekinge.

In today's society it has become increasingly important for organizations to take into account non-financial values. Sustainability reporting involves reporting the economic, social and environmental aspects of an organization's operations. The trend has been towards an all the more scrutinizing society with an increasing demand for transparency and translucency. A greater focus on environmental issues has also contributed to sustainability?s increasing importance as a topic.

How projects are managed can have a big impact on the project`s result. There are different types of frameworks on the market whose purpose is to help project leaders to pursue a successful project. Those frameworks focus on larger product development projects and both the literature and companies have addressed that the frameworks are too comprehensive for smaller product development projects. They have therefore asked for a framework that is more suitable for those smaller projects. To complete a project on time and to the planned cost is important in both larger and smaller product development projects.

Syftet med följande arbete är att studera hur begreppet hållbar utveckling kommer till uttryck i faktisk undervisning på Handels- och Administrationsprogrammet på en miljöcertifierad gymnasieskola i södra Sverige, detta genom både formell undervisning men också inom ramen för elevens arbetsplatsförlagda utbildning, APL. Med hjälp av kvalitativa intervjuer ville jag se huruvida det fanns samsyn eller diskrepans mellan skolans sätt att ta sig an begreppet hållbar utveckling och den arbetsplatsförlagda utbildning som eleverna kommer i kontakt med inom ramen för sitt yrkesförberedande program. För kunna besvara min frågeställning har jag utgått ifrån tre huvudsakliga områden; dels vilken definition av begreppet hållbar utveckling som intervjupersonerna ger uttryck för, dels hur man arbetar med begreppet inom ramen för sitt uppdrag (som lärare, övrig skolpersonal eller ?coach? på fadderföretagen) samt i vilken mån begreppet behandlas och poängteras i relevanta dokument eller kursböcker. Arbetet ger även en översikt över tidigare forskning om hållbar utveckling och hur detta kan implementeras i pedagogisk verksamhet. Sammanfattningsvis visar resultaten att det på sätt och vis råder en samsyn mellan skolan och företagen i hur man väljer att definiera begreppet och vad man behandlar i undervisningssammanhang i relation till detta.

This thesis has been performed for the company System Andersson as a part of the bachelors degree in information technology at the School of Engineering in Jönköping. The thesis is based on the development of an iPhone application.System Andersson has an application for Android that is being used for their MPS system (material and production control system). Their customers, however, have also showed interest in being able to use this application for iPhone.The students handle the subject of iOS developing, including the design of the application, the use of the development language Objective-C, the use of the scripting language of Json used for server connections and SQL.The primary goal with this thesis has been to improve the students knowledge in such subjects as application development for mobile platforms, in such areas as Xcode, which is the development platform that Apple uses and Objective-C, which is the development language being used. The result of this thesis is an almost fully functional iOS application, similar to the Android application with some functionality missing..

The purpose of this thesis was to study Holmen?s possible future ownership, concerning their forestland in Sweden. We have compared the strategy of the present owning of forests with three different alternatives. These three alternatives are: 1) selling all the forestland, 2) establish a new company which owns the forest where Holmen is the major stockholder and finally 3) an alternative were the two northerly regions are sold. We used Holmen?s annual account from the year 2002 as a bare year and made a reconstruction of the annual account in the three different alternatives.

AbstractFalu Copper Mine and Sustainable DevelopmentKarl-Markus AnsnaesFalu copper mine was Sweden?s oldest mine industry which lasted for almost a thousand years. Throughout the history its area has been vastly contaminated by sulfur oxide. The contaminations has created the mining area to an environmental risk zone which has the ability to spread out into the Falu River. The river has its connections to the Dal River which is discharging towards its mouth in the Baltic Sea.

The aim of this study is to find out in which way the education about climate in school is taught and how the students experience the world situation today. There are various theories about the greenhouse effect and its origin and these theories should be addressed to ensure that students get a broader understanding of how climate change occurs. This includes the natural phenomena and also the human impact on climate change. Students in school are a source of concern that only human are the cause of global warming, and know little or almost nothing about the natural phenomena of global warming.  I will mention what has emphasized in the national steering documents in the case of environmental education at school.I have used a qualitative method, where interviews and document analysis were used as techniques. The interviews took place with five students in ninth grade and with three science teachers in the same school..

This study deals with sustainability reporting in three governmental and three non-governmental Swedish companies in different industries. With increasing demands from the society regarding company?s CSR - Corporate social responsibility, the perspective of accounting gets broader and covers even non-financial information to meet not only the owners? demands but also others stakeholders' requirements. Sustainability has become an important tool for creating company?s business value and a positive sustainable external image.

Product development cycles become shorter and shorter. The time from idea to market has become an important competitive factor. Despite this, methods used for making the product development process faster are surrounded with uncertainty about their efficiency. The purpose of the thesis is to describe the pros and cons of ?best practice? methods for shortening lead times and how these methods effect the lead times in research and development.

This master thesis has been written in collaboration with Science Park Jönköping and is based on a problem related to corporate innovation. Science Park Jönköping believes that there is an untapped potential in existing industry in the form of ideas that are never commercialized. These theories are also supported in the research in which other authors have perceived that the ideas and inventions which do not belong to the core business risk ending up in drawers. If more of these ideas could be spin-offs or other forms of enterprise instead of staying in the drawers it would lead to growth, both for companies and for the society in large.The purpose of the thesis work is to, based on the case Science Park Jönköping, analyze how science parks and incubators can support the commercialization of ideas that derive from industry, who otherwise had been left lying. The work began with a mapping of the Science Park Jönköping operations and the skills they possess, and then other initiatives that aim to commercialize more ideas from companies were examined.
