The purpose of this study is to examine how risk is perceived by the urban architect's in the region Dalarna, as well as how this is reflected in their everyday work with risk and decision- making according to urban planning. The ambition is also to show how their risk awareness could be improved. The study is written in cooperation with Länsstyrelsen Dalarna as a part of their regional long-term goal to improve the region's proactive risk' and crisis management. The study is based upon 12 semi-structured interviews with local urban architects conducted during the summer and autumn 2007. The result shows that some architects are motivated for working with risk and think that risk awareness should be integrated in their everyday work, while others are not motivated and think that risk is more of a passing trend.

Background: The devolopment in the exchange market has attract a large number of investors. The information flow is extensive and it might be hard to follow the dynamic market. Some investors therefore choose to place their capital in a stock portfolio which is manged by a professional firm with no influence from the capital owner, this management is called discretionary managing. Purpose: the purpose of the thesis is to examine the working methods and the rationality regarding the management of the discretionary portfolios. The purpose is also to try to examine whether there is a relation between the selected risk, return and fees.

Syftet med denna studie är att se vad som påverkar förbättringsmöjligheterna i en försörjningskedja. Detta har vi gjort genom att analysera ett terminal- och logistikbolag i Kiruna. Songs from the Crypt: Mapping the Forces that Hinder the Digital Revolution of Music Distribution This paper seeks an explanation to the low market share growth of the commercial digital music distribution in Sweden. The analysis identifies a spectrum of obstacles that hinder the digital distribution technology from becoming the main form of music distribution in Sweden. These obstacles make the digital music distribution less favourable in comparison with physical distribution from the consumer?s point of view. The authors suggest that in order for the digital distribution of music to become competitive the digital product would either have to be developed further to offer more customer value or the so called a là carte retail model would have to be replaced by a subscription-based distribution model.

Att skapa fördelar med lean kräver en gedigen hängivenhet i tillämpningen av lean filosofin. Studier har påvisat svårigheter hos medelstora tillverkningsföretag vid tillämpning av lean att skapa synergier mellan hantering av efterfrågan och lagerstyrning. En efterfrågehantering som skapat ojämnt flöde utav produktionsorder som lett till problematik med voluminösa och inkuranta lagernivåer.Med den problematiken som grund har en fallstudie utförts på ett medelstort tillverkningsföretag. Studien har syftat till att undersöka brister i efterfrågehantering, produktionsplanering samt lagerstyrning hos fallföretaget utifrån ett lean perspektiv samt föreslå förbättringsåtgärder. Studien har antagit en hermeneutisk utgångspunkt med en deduktiv ansats där teori först studerats för att sedermera samla in empiri för jämförelse.Resultatet av studien blev förslag på förbättringsmöjligheter för fallföretaget som då besvarat frågeställningarna hur ett tillverkningsföretag kan förbättra både sitt interna och externa lagerflöde.

The purpose of this thesis is to give an understanding of how grocery stores relate to local foods. Through a case study representatives for two groceries in Norrbotten have been interviewed regarding why they supply local foods, how they try to influence customers to buy this, and how they decide upon the assortment of local foods. The result shows that groceries supply local foods in order to supply a wide range of products and to mediate social responsibility, in order to create customer loyalty. Concerning how the groceries try to influence customers to buy local foods the result cannot give any clear-cut view. Instead it shows that a grocery that actively works to influence customers to buy local foods markets them in specific ways, while the opposite applies to a grocery that does not actively work for this.

Crisis management planning is a relatively new policy area in the European countries. It has materialized since the fall of the iron curtain and because of the increased interest to prevent wide-ranging national emergencies. In Sweden, the county administrative board has a key obligation to perform risk analysis guidelines. This assessment involves identifying crisis, planning response to the crisis and, if necessary, confronting and resolving the crisis in the geographic area of the region. The purpose of my thesis is to examine if there are any differences in crisis management planning between the county administrative boards? risk analysis guidelines.
