I Sverige begår ca 1500 personer suicid per år, och 90 % av dessa har visat tecken på psykisk sjukdom. Av de som har gjort suicidförsök kommer ungefär hälften i kontakt med vården. Psykiatrisk omvårdnad syftar till att främja hälsa och lindra lidande och det behövs många olika färdigheter i arbetet med den suicidnära patienten, för att genom den terapeutiska relationen kunna ge en empatisk, säker och professionell omvårdnad. Syftet med litteraturstudien var att beskriva vilka faktorer som var viktiga i omvårdnadsarbetet med suicidnära patienter, ur ett patientperspektiv. Metoden som användes var en litteraturstudie.

Introduktion Varje år begås ca 1500 självmord och 20000 självmordsförsök. Som sjuksköterska kommer man med stor sannolikhet att vårda självmordsnära patienter. Patienterna kan reagera på olika sätt och att som sjuksköterska bemöta dem på ett bra sätt är många gånger svårt. Travelbees teorier kan då vara ett gott stöd för sjuksköterskan.Syfte Att belysa hur patienter upplever att de har blivit bemötta av sjuksköterskan efter ett självmordsförsök för att få vägledning i vad som är ett gott bemötande.Metod Litteraturstudie av artiklar sökta och funna via databasen Cinahl med sökorden Suicide attempt, patients´ perspective och nursing care. Resultat Det huvudtema som framträdde var bemötande.

The purpose of this thesis is to analyze the writings of Hayashi Ichiz?, a Christian from southern Japan who on the 30th of May 1945 died while carrying out a kamikaze attack against Allied ships outside Okinawa. Hayashi?s writings, most notably his diary and some of the letters he sent to his mother, have been published posthumously by his sister in a volume called Hi nari tate nari. In this thesis, I conduct an in-depth analysis of these writings in an attempt to understand for what Hayashi died.In the two parts of the thesis, divided by two major themes in Hayashi?s writings ? faith/family and nation/emperor, I discuss his thoughts around these issues.

Direct effects of the insecticide deltamethrin on zooplankton and benthic invertebrates werestudied during an attempt to eradicate signal crayfish. In accordance with earlier studies theresults of this investigation showed that deltamethrin is highly toxic for arthropods, whileRotifera, Oligochaeta and Mollusca have a higher tolerance. This study concludes thatRotifera in treated ponds coped with the actual concentration of deltamethrin used during theeradication attempt but that they probably got a different abundance and changed compositiondue to a new situation in competition and predation. Crustacean zooplankton totallydisappeared, but approximately a month after the treatment they began to recolonise. All thetaxonomical groups of arthropods drastically decreased in abundance, with total eliminationof the most sensitive groups.

In this study I will analyze how men who buy sex interact with one another on two different Internet communities: ?Sekreterarakademin? and ?Flashback?. This analysis is carried out in an attempt to challenge the conventional image of the man who pays for sex.The aim is to examine the role of Internet forums for men who buy sexual services related to cross-border, both in terms of standard borders, gender boundaries, boundaries of sexuality and masculinity. I will also attempt to investigate what opportunities that are available to overrun different borders and how these opportunities affect the conditions of the various players. I will evaluate theories such as homosocialtet, hegemonic masculinity and normalization used by KAST (Köpare Av Sexuella Tjänster, the Swedish public support for clients of sexual services) and which are partially consolidated in studies published by KAST concerning issues related to internet based prostitution..

In the last two decades something called ?the Eleatic Principle? has been quite frequent in philosophical literature. A wide range of philosophers have appealed to this principle when arguing for varioustheses but the principle itself has received comparatively little attention. Especially questions regarding the principle's justificationare often ignored or only mentioned in passing. The aim of this paper is to remedy this situation somewhat by focusing on how it could be justified.In section 2 I give an overview of the various ways in which the principle has been used to clarify just what we are dealing with here.

This thesis is an attempt to shed light on how the authors of the Swedish Government Official Report, SoU 1999:83, speak about how the globalization affects democracy. The method used is critical discourse analysis and ideological analysis, with the main emphasis on the former. The results of the analysis are then interpreted with central parts of Jürgen Habermas? The theory of communicative action. One of the main conclusions is that an absolute majority of the authors, talk about how the globalization affects democracy in terms of the economic market and the European union.

SAMMANFATTNINGSuicid och suicidförsök är ett stort folkhälsoproblem i världen och de senaste 45 åren har suicid ökat med ca 60 procent. Sjuksköterskor som arbetar inom ambulanssjukvården möter ofta patienter med psykisk ohälsa. Detta påverkar sjuksköterskan på olika sätt. Vid självmordsförsök, hot om självmord eller vid misstänkt självmord kan ambulans larmas. I den akuta situationen är ibland ambulanssjuksköterskan den första kontakten med sjukvården.

Syftet med denna systematiska litteraturstudie var att undersöka vilka attityder sjuksköterskor hade gentemot suicidala patienter, vilka upplevelser patienter hade efter ett suicidförsök och hur de upplevde omvårdnaden de fick. I syftet ingick även att undersöka vilka kunskaper som en sjuksköterska behöver ha i mötet med suicidala personer. Sökning av artiklar har gjorts på databaserna Elin@Dalarna och Blackwell Synergy där sökorden attitudes, care, caring, nursing, nurse, suicide användes i olika kombinationer. Artiklarna skulle vara vetenskapliga, inte publicerade före 1997 och svara på syfte och frågeställning. För att säkerställa att kvalitén på artiklarna var god granskades de med hjälp av en granskningsmall.

This thesis was created in an attempt to examine the concept of cultural heritage. What is cultural heritage to us and why do we treat it in the different ways we do? In my attempt to find an answer to this I have chosen to concentrate my interest on a situation where historical objects have been preserved as well as destroyed, Iraq 2003 until 2007. In my research I have divided the Iraqi cultural heritage in three different groups based on the different treatments they where exposed to during the occupation of Bagdad and the aftermath. For each group I have chosen one object or a category of objects to be a representative examined.

Bakgrund Suicid är ett folkhälsoproblem som förbises av samhället. Suicid står för 25% av dödsorsakerna bland ungdomar. Män begår oftast suicid medan kvinnor främst begår suicidförsök. Ett suicidalt beteende påverkas av flera olika faktorer, såsom tidigare suicidförsök, psykiska sjukdomar, alkohol eller droger, negativa traumatiska livshändelser, ärftliga faktorer och/eller tillgång till suicidala medel. Det ultimata är att förebygga suicid, inte endast vårda och ingripa när det redan hänt.

This paper seeks to explore how victims of crime and defendants are portrayed in sexual assault cases. Lately, more and more voices have been raised in appal against values demonstrated in court decisions and we?ve seen the implementation of a new sexual assault legislation in attempt to increase people?s sexual integrity. Yet, at the same time, there is still a tremendously low amount of reported sexual assaults that go to trial and even fewer result in conviction. This paper is not an attempt to scrutinize the legal system, but to draw attention to what values are portrayed in sexual assault cases.

In an attempt to make social work evidence based, the Swedish National Board of Health and Welfare, has recommended the use of standardized methods. As there are very few instruments that are defined as standardized, we decided to compile studies made with the "Family Climate self-rating scale", FCS, that is used by the profession, although not yet validated. We were looking for conformity in results and functionality in family treatment. FCS comprises a list of 85 adjectives to reflect different aspects of the emotional atmosphere in the family. It has been used since the late 80´s and there has been no attempt to compile results of using the instrument, until now.By searching in databases and libraries we found 20 Swedish studies using the instrument, which we compared to each other.

Suicid och suicidförsök är ett stort samhällsproblem och en stor personlig tragedi både för den som försökt begå suicid och för dennes närstående, därför behövs forskning kring mötet mellan patient och vårdare efter ett suicidförsök. Syftet med denna litteraturöversikt var att beskriva upplevelsen av detta möte från både patientens och vårdarens perspektiv. Artikelsökningen genomfördes i olika databaser med sökord som anges nedan. Resultatet har beskrivits i följande teman: kommunikation, bekräftelse, brist på respekt, känslor hos patienten, känslor hos vårdaren och vårdarnas attityder. Betydelsen av kommunikation och bekräftelse framkom i många artiklar.
