En ständigt pågående debatt : Religionsämnet i skolan från 1919 till 2013

The subject of religion in Swedish schools is the single most talked about topic in the curriculum. One explanation could be that it is the oldest subject in Swedish schools and the topic has undergone the biggest change through time. This process of change has been anything but undebated. The subject of religion within schools has met debates through almost its entire history, partly from the state and from the church, but also from the teachers and the students. Debates concerning the existence of Christianity in Swedish schools as well as the Swedish traditions constantly reoccur in today?s government debates and various media but in different versions.

Är hälsan jämlik? : En kvantitativ studie över sambandet mellan socioekonomisk position i vuxen ålder och ohälsa hos den äldre populationen.

Syftet med den här uppsatsen har varit att undersöka sambandet mellan socioekonomisk position i vuxen ålder och ohälsa när man blir äldre och om detta eventuella samband beror på att personerna hade sämre hälsa tidigare i livet, samt att undersöka hur hälsa och socioekonomisk position är relaterat till förändring i hälsa över tid. Mått på socioekonomisk position i den här undersökningen har varit socialklass, utbildningsnivå och kontantmarginal. Ohälsa har mätts genom fyra index; mobilitetsproblem, cirkulationsbesvär, värk i rörelseorganen samt psykisk ohälsa. För att genomföra studien har ett nationellt representativt datamaterial från Levnadsnivåundersökningen (LNU) år 1968 och 1981 och undersökningen om äldres levnadsvillkor, SWEOLD, år 1992, 2002 och 2004 använts. Datamaterialet har möjliggjort för en kvantitativ longitudinell studie där respondenterna har kunnat följas från vuxen ålder till efter pensionsåldern, en period på över 20 år.

AUTOMATISK PAN/TILT-KONTROLLER FÖR ANTENNINRIKTNING

This report describes the design and construction of a prototype that automatically aims a microwave link towards a target. The link, that is located on a mobile aerial mast, is used by Saab Training Systems as a part of an infrastructure network. The report also discusses the development of a GUI that communicates with the control unit by Bluetooth.The control unit, called Pan/Tilt-controller, controls the position of the link by stepping motors. One motor controls the azimuth angle and the other one controls the elevation angle.By a GUI the operator enters the coordinates on its own position and the targets position. Hereafter a bearing is calculated and it will be sent up to the control unit.The control unit will sense its own direction by a magnetic sensor that works as an electronic compass.

To be ableto grasp these thoughts in full I have undergone an investigation not only on the writingsof Slavoj ?i?ek, but also on the philosophers to whom he owe much of his theories,such as G.W.F. Hegel, Friedriech Schelling, Karl Marx and Jaques Lacan.In the study I have shown how the subject is, according to ?i?eks psychoanalytictheories, decentered.

Föräldradelaktighet i åtgärdsprogram : en dokumentanalys

Under de senaste decennierna har föräldrar blivit allt mer delaktiga i sina barns skolgång (Erikson 2004), vi har intresserat oss för om detta fenomen gör sig gällande även då åtgärdsprogram upprättas. Syftet med denna studie är därmed att studera föräldrars delaktighet i utformande och genomförande av åtgärdsprogram. Utifrån detta syfte har följande forskningsfrågor formulerats: a) I vilken utsträckning är föräldrar närvarande då åtgärdsprogram utformas? b) Vilken position tilldelas föräldrar i åtgärdsprogram? c) Vad säger denna position om föräldrars delaktighet i utformande och genomförande av åtgärdsprogram? Studien har utförts som en fallstudie vid en grundskola. Huvudmetoden har varit dokumentanalys och analysmaterialet bestod av åtgärdsprogram för elever i år 8 och 9, vilka avslutats mellan år 2000 och 2006.

Musik för kommunikation och självkänsla : En studie om musikens betydelse i en flerspråkig förskolemiljö

This thesis, entitled The Headmaster and the Music, is based on interviews with four headmasters, who are all working in the Swedish compulsory school. The purpose is to investigate how they view music, both in general and as a school subject. Since the research on this topic is scarce, the study can be described as explorative.The result shows that the headmasters? personal experiences have an impact on the way they view music. Four different focus points on music in school have emerged from the material, and these represent the four very different views that each headmaster holds.

Annorlundahet som kapital: Kategorin invandrarförfattare och annorlundahet på det litterära fältet.

The purpose of this study is to explore the concept of the immigrant-writer. By studying the literary criticism on four debutants, all of whom have been categorised as immigrant-writers, I have come to the conclusion that the critics tend to focus on the authors' otherness. By using postcolonial theory I've analysed the role as representatives of a supposed other reality that is imposed on these four authors by the literary critics. The theories of Pierre Bourdieu, especially his concepts of symbolic capital, literary field and position, have been used to contextualise these conclusions. Although the otherness that the critics accentuate seems to work as a negative symbolic capital in a bigger societal perspective, in the author's position within the literary field it grows their positive symbolic capital.

AbstractThis thesis discusses and analyses a 19th century female author's vanishing from history. The study investigates social relationships as figured and described in the epistolary form, based on letters between the author herself and different members of her family. It also tries to identify the author's position and situation in her time and society according to important themes and motifs in her novels. The main purpose is not to reconstruct history, but rather to show the many complex histories that can also be described, apart from the simplified and generalized one. The aim of this study is to, from a post-structuralist perspective, analyze the position of author Marianne Lundegård-Hagberg, and her role as a performative, discursive person that history forgot..

?Hamburgarchef?? ? En kvalitativ studie om vilka upplevelser av konflikter och konflikthantering som mellanchefer inom försörjningschef har i förhållande till sin position

Innan vi började skriva vår uppsats trodde vi att mellanchefens position var konfliktfylld och upplevdes som en klämd position. Vi har gjort en kvalitativ studie och intervjuat sju mellanchefer inom försörjningsstöd. Dessa chefer befinner sig mellan överordnade såsom politiker och verksamhetschef och sin underordnade arbetsgrupp. Denna mellanposition karakteriserar en av våra intervjupersoner som en hamburgare, där mellanchefen befinner sig mellan de två bröden i hamburgaren. Syftet med studien är att försöka förstå och analysera vilka konflikter mellanchefer inom försörjningsstöd kommer i kontakt med utifrån sin position och vilka orsaker det finns till konflikterna, samt hur de löser och hur de skulle önska lösa dessa konflikter.

Att ösa ur ett hav : Om kunskapssyn och urvalsprocesser hos gymnasielärare i Samhällskunskap A

Teachers in social sciences have a broad subject field to base their education on. This term paper examines, thru interviews, which factors that have an influence on the subjects contents in the A course of Social Sciences at Swedish high schools. Having interviewed four active teachers at three different schools, it shows that control documents like subject- and national curricula have little to say about what kind of subject that should been taught. Teachers seem rather to rely on local collegiate consensus, the textbook, locally prepared control documents, and adjusting to program directions while choosing material. In the final discussion the risk of structuring the subject around the text book is being investigated, along the fact that new locally control documents need to be written even for basic planning structures.

Hur används historia? : en historiebruksanalys av gymnasiets läroplan i historia 1970-2011

A new curriculum, entailing news for teachers as well as students, was implemented in 2011. Among other things History has been given a more prominent position in that every student will now study the subject. Can this decision lead to history being used more in the future?The aim of this thesis is to study the new curriculum, Gy11, as well the Lpf94 and Lgy70, based on Klas-Göran Karlsson´s typology where the use of history is divided into seven different categories. I will analyze the curricula, looking at what different uses of history that can be discerned as well as what changes have been made over time.

Kunskapens konstellationer: om ämnesanalys och tvärvetenskaplighet

The aim of this study has been to discuss ideas of knowledge within classification theory and subject analysis in the light of theories of fundamental changes in the production of scientific knowledge. Guiding questions have been: How have the conditions of knowledge production changed? How has interdisciplinarity as part of this development evolved? What assumptions lie behind theories of classification and subject analysis? How do these stand in relation to the alleged changes in the production and understanding of science? Three works about the changing conditions for knowledge production and the growth of crossdisciplinarity have been presented and discussed. These works stress the loosening up of boundaries between traditional knowledge domains and open up for discussions about how to organize knowledge production in the light of these changes. In the study it is argued that their works also could open up for discussions about the way knowledge is organized for retrieval purposes.

Livskunskap : En inre kompass i skolan

Through qualitative interviews with five teachers from three schools, two public schools within the same school management and a Waldorf school, the purpose of this study is to find out teachers' views on the phenomenon of life skills in the lower classes in school. What is the subject, how do teachers work with life skills, and should it be seen as a separate subject or integrated in all school subjects?The results show that the definition of life skills is a term with many interpretations. Two concepts that can be seen as the common denominators in the educators' views on the subject, however is, social and emotional skills. This is something that educators believe develop self-awareness and empathy in children and sees that as important as learning other subjects.
