?Det är järnet i blodet som väger? : Elevers uppfattningar om materia en kvalitativ undersökning i årskurs 3

The purpose of this investigation was to find out more about Students? spontaneous ideas about properties and transformations of matter. Examples of matter chosen are such which Students know about from everyday life and focus is mainly on the questions if Students know that all matter has weight and that matter is preserved in transformations.The method used is semi structured qualitative interviews with individual Students. Different experiments were carried out together with the Students who afterwards were interviewed. However, the Students show varying answers and no generalizations can be done.

Matematiksvårigheter : En kvalitativ och kvantitativ studie om matematiksvårigheter.

We have done a qualitative and quantitative study about math problems on second­ary school Students. The study is based on the diagnosis, treatment and training of teachers, about Students who have math difficulties. The aim of this work is to obtain teachers ?perceptions about Students? diagnosis, treatment / improvement and continuing education for Students who have math difficulties. By having interviewed various teachers through surveys we have received answers to their concerns about the diagnosis, treatment and the importance of continuous training of teachers on Students? mathematics difficulties.

"Jag brukar jämföra källor med varandra." : En studie i gymnasieelevers kritiska tänkande

The main purpose of this bachelor thesis is to examine the existence of criteria and to what extent high school Students use these criteria when they are collecting information for a school assignment. I also compare Students attending different high school programmes with each other and compare Students on different levels of education.I have done a quantitative study with 284 Students in which the Students have filled out questionnaires.The result shows that the most common way to evaluate information is to compare sources with each other. Students also look at how the information is written, and they want the information to be detailed and easily available. More seldom used criteria include consideration of the authority of the writer, determination of how up to date the information is, and gauging the perspective of the information.The result also shows that Students attending a high school programme that prepares them for higher education are better at evaluating information than Students attending a high school programme of vocational preparation. Students at a higher level of education are also better at evaluating information than Students at a lower level of education. .

High school Students of today frequently come into contact with the English language throughradio and television. Many Students even manage to read instruction manuals and understandhow technical devices work, such as, for example, computer games. However, most teachersunderestimate their Students? ability and persist in using Swedish to explain how the Englishlanguage works. I have analysed how high school Students manage when they take an Englishgrammar test in English.

Hur lärare arbetar med tystlåtna elever i muntliga moment : Ett arbete om hur lärare främjar och bedömer den kommunikativa förmågan i klassrummet

The purpose of this study is to examine how primary school teachers work with the oral communicative ability of Students who are quiet or unwilling to communicate freely in the classroom. This study aims to answer the question: which methods and strategies are most beneficial for the quiet Students and how do teachers discover and assess these Students?A qualitative method using semi-structured interviews will be used as the primary means of answering this question. The purpose of these interviews is to document the teachers? experiences working with quiet Students.It appears that the teachers interviewed have or have had quiet Students in their classes.

This study examines some Students? attitudes towards mathematics in grade 2-4. When studying Students? attitudes questionnaires and interviews are often being used as methods. In this study we used a more rare method.

Konflikthantering i klassrummet

We have chosen to focus our study on conflicts and handling of conflicts in a classroom environment. We are addressing problems such as the teachers? roll in a conflict, the importance of solid leadership in the classroom, Students? agency, defense mechanisms in coping with conflicts and so on. In this paper there is a review of different perspectives on conflict and of understanding why conflicts occur the different reasons for the conflicts. Our observation study took place in a grade three classroom, in a mid-sized town, during a regular school day.

Elevers perspektiv på bedömning för lärande

The aim of this study was to examine the Students' perspectives on formative assessment, partly about how Students perceived the assessment in general, partly about what Students' opinions were on formative assessment, and partly about Students' view of how assessment could be organized to stimulate learning process.  The study consisted of qualitative interviews with six Students in grades one in an upper secondary school.The survey showed that Students primarily perceived assessment with summative purpose: tests and scores.  Majority of the Students experienced that there were too many tests occasions.  Those high-performing Students were positive to tests.  However, those lower-performing Students felt more negative and became more stressful with the exams.Results showed that they were lack of experience of formative assessment.  All the six Students thought that they had not got any chance to involve in the assessments process.  They realized that they had not got adequate feedback about their learning-situations.  With regard to Students' wishes about how assessment could be developed in order to improve their learning, it was mainly about more and concrete feedback on tests and assignments.Two models were developed in the final discussion, which showed the author's own perception of formative and summative assessments..

This thesis will portray the different types of Students at the programs of library studiesin Lund and Umeå.The study is based upon quantitative information gathered from a survey, which wasdistributed to first-year Students in Lund and Umeå. The survey was followed by qualitativeinterviews with four Students, and with the director of studies from each school.The study shows that the programs, as we11 as the Students, are very similar, althoughthere are some minor differences. It seemed that the Students at Umeå were moreinterested in culture than those at Lund.A certain connection between the aim at information and the ownership of a computercould be detected. The sex of the Students played a major part in their choice of education.The attractors and facilitators, used by Lortie in his study, could also be appliedto the Students at the program of library studies in our thesis..

Religionsundervisningen i två mångkulturella skolor : Lärares respektive elevers syn på religionsundervisningen i två mångkulturella miljöer

This is a qualitative research paper, which aims to examine how religion classes are conducted in inner-city and suburban schools. Interviews have been performed with two religion teachers, one at Grindtorp School in Alby and one at the English Gymnasium in Södermalm. There have been performed interviews with eight Students, four from each school. The Students have a different age, sex and religious beliefs. With these interviews we can get a better understanding how the Students of today?s school think about the religious education.

Background: The education for becoming a registered nurse in Sweden includes compulsory time for clinical practice. The clinical education means an essential part in the Students? personal development. According to regulation for nurses, a registered nurse has the responsibility to supervise nurse Students during their clinical placement.Aim:. The aim of the examination was to describe nurse Students´ experiences of supervision during clinical education.Method: The study was an empirical examination based on interviews with seven nurse Students.Results: The result showed that nurse Students wanted to be seen and treated as colleagues, but not used as labour.

??The aim of this study was to define Students? needs and wishes about the content of a health website. A questionnaire was distributed to 531 Students at three different Universities studying two different education programs, of which 98 participated. The research was based on relevant articles, studies and literature. The study shows that Students are interested in a health website and there seems to be a demand, among Students, to improve their health.

The purpose of this study was to examine what Students themselves think about using computers in school. The study was conducted in a school in central Sweden. The Students in focus were Students with reading and writing difficulties, dyslexia or language difficulties such as an other native language. A total of eight Students were interviewed. The interviews were analyzed using thematic analysis.

En högskola för alla?En studie om hur studenter med funktionshinder upplever sin studiesituation på Högskolan Kristianstad

AbstractThe purpose of our study was to get a deeper understanding and a better knowledge about the study situation Students with disabilities experience at the University of Kristianstad. Our choice was to focus on their experience of the supporting measures, the accessibility and how they felt they were met by both Students and teachers. It was a qualitative study and it was based on interviews with eight Students with disabilities at the University in Kristianstad. In the study we have used the theoretical concept of empowerment as an analysis tool. The different kinds of support the Students with disabilities were using were in common described as positive and the Students thought that the supporting measures helped them getting more independent.

The purpose of this Bachelor?s thesis is to examine university librarians? perceptions of information literacy, of Students? information literacy and of education in information literacy. The focus is on how they perceive the Students? information literacy development during their university studies. Also of interest in this study is how librarians think that their teaching in information literacy should be included in the Students? other courses. Three librarians at a Swedish university library were interviewed using qualitative interviews.
