This essay is based on students' growing lack of interest in science at school. Both from a democratic and social perspective, this is a worrying factor for the future. Through observation, I investigated how five science teachers conduct their teaching. This is to get a better understanding of how teachers' behaviour in the classroom can affect students' interest in science. With a socio-cultural research approach, I have tried to highlight a few pieces of the puzzle that may explain students' declining interest in science.

Enligt kommunikationsmyndigheten PTS finns det cirka 10miljoner mobiltelefonabonnemang endast i Sverige. Telefonerna innehåller operativsystem där det tillåts mängder av olika sorters program. I och med att Apple 2007 introducerade sin iPhone exploderade marknaden för så kallade Nomadic Devices. En telefon som mer är tänkt att fungera som någon form av handdator. Dessa telefoners utformning och funktioner möjliggör för utvecklare att ta fram mer avancerade program än man tidigare sett för mobiltelefoner.

Syftet med det här arbetet är att kartlägga i vilken grad gymnasielärare på en gymnasieskola i Norrbottens inland uppfattat sig som marknadsförare av sig själv, av sitt program och/eller av sin skola. Syftet är även att kartlägga om detta lett till konflikter i det etiska myndighetsuppdragetsom betygsättning innebär. Uppsatsens forskningsfrågor har varit:- Upplever lärare att deras arbete handlar om marknadsföring?- Upplever lärarna att det finns en konflikt i deras objektiva betygsättningsuppdrag och ett eventuellt marknadsföringsuppdrag?- Hur hanterar lärarna relationerna till föräldrar och elever i förhållande till marknadsföringsuppdraget?- Finns det uttalade rutiner för hantering av missnöjda elever?- Klarar skolan sitt kunskapsuppdrag?Studien har påvisat att lärare som upplever en tillhörighet till ett/några få program tycks uppleva att yrket till högre grad handlar om marknadsföring än lärare som saknar koppling till ett program. Yrkeslärare tycks uppleva att yrket till högre grad handlar om marknadsföring än teorilärare, vilket kan ses som en följd av att lärare på ett yrkesprogram per definition tillhör ett program och känner programtillhörighet.Lärare som upplever större osäkerhet kring det framtida tjänsteunderlaget anser sig till en högre grad påverkas av de relationer som de har till sina elever vid betygsättning än lärare som upplever en lägre osäkerhet kring det framtida tjänsteunderlaget.Lärarna hanterar främst elever som är missnöjda med utbildningen själva.

Research and innovation are areas that have been evolving quickly during recent years. However, it has been difficult for individual countries to make progress on their own. To solve this problem the European union have launched the most expensive research and innovation program to this day. By combining national governments throughout Europe, the EU wants to create cutting edge technology that will strenghten the region and make the union able to compete on a worldwide stage. However, trying to combine national governments has not been easy, the programs struggle with byrocracy and member states of the European union are tentative about supranational institutions. By engaging in the program national governments have been afraid of how this will affect their sovereignty.

 The purpose of this thesis is to study the education of newly arrived 16-20 year old immigrants and how their education in the towns of Södertälje and Malmö matches up with national inquiry into the subject.The research questions in this thesis are as follow: What type of documents shape the work with newly arrived students? What's the preferred development surrounding the education of the newly arrived students nationally? What does the latest study, which is a proposed reform of the Gymnasium system, say about the education of newly arrived students?How does the local work connect with proposals of national investigations? Do the cities take responsibility for evaluating the education of newly arrived students? From arriving to graduating, what does the road to graduation look like for a newly arrived student? What is the curriculum of a newly arrived student?The methods used here are studies of investigations made primarily by Skolverket (The National Agency for Education) and Myndigheten för skolutveckling (The Agency for Development of Education), studies of local documents such as annual reports of quality and promotional material for programs at local Gymnasiums (High Schools), and interviews with local persons in charge of shaping the work with newly arrived immigrants.This thesis has not used theory as a foundation for structuring the analysis, but postmodern theory and the use of three dimensional power inspired the thesis.The conclusions made focuses on the future of the education for these teenagers at large and makes connections between the national investigations and the local work with immigration education.In order for these teenagers to be allowed to join the Swedish national Gymnasium, they need to learn Swedish, and integration seems to be an important part of learning Swedish quickly. .

Studien syftar till att granska ett urval av pedagogiska datorprogram avsedda för matematik för att få reda på vad det är för typ av matematikuppgifter användaren (eleven) kan möta. Den teoretiska referensramen behandlar tre områden. Dessa är matematik, olika sätt att kategorisera matematikuppgifter samt olika sätt att kategorisera datorprogram. Sammanfattningsvis visar resultatet att det är svårt att kategorisera matematikuppgifter strikt. Beroende på val av program kan eleven möta uppgifter där det matematiska innehållet innefattar allt från ett upp till sex olika områden av grundskolans matematik.

This is a master thesis work carried out at the Department of Energy and Environment atthe Division of Electric Power Engineering. The master thesis work describes the theoryof distance protection relaying in 130 kV meshed distribution networks. The main aim ofthe thesis was to construct an Excel application for calculation and documentation of thesettings for distance protection relays. The program is based on general methods forcalculating settings of the different zones for the distance relay and presents the settingsin simple graphics using quadrilateral characteristics.The reason for building an Excel based application is the great variety of distanceprotection relays in live networks. The manufacturers of distance protection relays makeprogram for documentation available, however, they are based on the typical settings forthe specific relays.

Today more effective computer programs are in use, regarding design of geotechnicalconstructions. There is a risk that the theoretical background of the computerprograms, its limitations and the signification of the choice of soil parameter isforgotten when the computer programs become more user-friendly.This Master thesis deals with simulation and analysis regarding three computerprograms, FEM-design, with the addition Raft, Plaxis and BE-slab. Comparisons aremade for settlement and maximum moment in a concrete-plate. FEM-design is a threedimensional FEM-program, foremost created for design engineers. Plaxis is a twodimensional FEM-program, intended for geotechnical engineers while BE-Slab is aBoundary elements program in two dimensions that is mainly used by designengineers.

Formgivning och organsiering av ett nytt operahus. Strukturering av befintligt program, val av material, konstruktion och struktur, klimat, hållbarhet..

Regelbunden fysisk aktivitet bidrar till att ungdomar mår bättre fysiskt och psykiskt. Det är viktigt att redan i skolorna nå ut till eleverna, så att man i tidig ålder kan få ungdomar intresserade av att vara fysiskt aktiva. Målet med ämnet Idrott och hälsa är att eleverna ska få upp ett intresse för idrott, hälsa och rörelse. Den allmänna rekommendationen är 30 minuter/dagen, måttlig intensitet. En skillnad kan ses mellan kvinnor och män när det gäller fysisk aktivitet och att uppnå de olika rekommendationerna.

I denna uppsats har en undersökning av studenters alkoholvanor gjorts. Syftet med arbetet var att få en uppfattning om första års programstudenters alkoholvanor vid Högskolan Dalarna campus Borlänge. Följande frågeställningar belyses i studien: Hur ofta och hur mycket dricker studenter vid respektive program, hur ser kvinnornas alkoholvanor ut jämfört med männens, samt om alkoholvanorna skiljer sig mellan programmen.Jag har använt mig av en kvantitativ enkätundersökning där totalt 60 studenter från tre olika program har medverkat. Studenterna går första året på Högskolan Dalarna och är i åldrarna 19-24 år. De program som undersöktes var Grafisk teknologi och design, Materialdesign samt Ekonomprogrammet.

Syftet med detta arbete var att undersöka möjligheten att få ett väl fungerande interface mellan ©VizzAnalyzer [3] och Javadoc, och därmed kunna producera htmldokumentation av de analyserade klasserna. VizzAnalyzer analyserar javaprogram och producerar därvid ett abstrakt syntaxträd (AST) som representerar det analyserade programmet. Detta AST kan sedan kopplas till javadocs interna AST-modell för att representera de klasser som förekommer vid analysen. Resultatet av detta blir då en komplett dokumentation av de analyserade klasserna. Det finns även möjligheter att dynamiskt lägga in ytterligare information om dem som kommit fram vid analysen.

Driveability analysis of terrain data offers an important technique for decision support for all kinds of movements in the terrain. The work described in this report uses a high resolution digital terrain model generated from the laser radar data and further processed by the Category Viewer program, and information from the Real Estate Map. Properties of features found in a filtering process are calculated and compared with a set of rules in a knowledge base to get a driveability cost. This cost is then visualized in a graphical user interface. An evaluation of what driveability is and what it is affected by is performed, and a general cost function is developed, which can be used even if not all relevant information is available.

Assessment is considered one of the most important tools used today by people in almost everything they do and learn. This also applies to school, where assessment is considered as a constant companion to teaching and used in order to develop students' learning and skills. Assessment is also an educational necessity which has different purposes and therefore different consequences.                                                                                                                        The idea of ??this thesis was on the basis of the interviewed teacher's perspective to investigate what role the formative assessment has on the development of pupils' learning and knowledge in mathematics for primary education, and explore how the teacher can, according to my informants, work with this assessment practice in the classroom so that it promotes the learning of the students in the best possible way.                                                                To carry out this study, I used qualitative research studies, the interview method, and also talked to five different teachers in the lower school ages on their view at the work of the formative assessment. Theoretical basis of the thesis is also based on the research that says that the assessment can be used to promote student learning and knowledge, but also the teacher's learning?s in the educational process: assessment can and should be an assessment for learning.

Mycket händer i Norra Sorgenfri. Det här arbetet syftar till att sätta omvandlingen under lupp och att granska möjligheterna för ett inkluderande stadsliv i området. Vissa forskare hävdar att Malmö segregeras och att fler malmöbor lever i en marginalposition. Avsikterna med omvandlingen är goda och det verkar på planer och program som att stadsdelen kan bli ett område för hela Malmö. Det är dock viktigt att diskutera hur området skulle kunna fungera som mötesplats och boendemiljö.
