The Circle is a strong form that influences the landscape. It also has symbolic value which influences our feelings and experiences. This Thesis project examines the Circles? characteristics and its significance in various connections. The goal of this Thesis is to examine what role the Circle plays in various situations and what motives there are for using it is landscape architecture. The basis for this Thesis work is a proposal which has been drawn up for development of the rural area between the villages of Hofterup and Löddeköping in the municipality of Kävlinge.

The aim of this Master's thesis is to examine the ways in which culture and cultural policy are being articulated in the process of Lund's application to become Sweden's European Cultural Capital of 2014.I have used Dorte Skot-Hansen's three cultural political rationalities: the humanistic-, the sociological- and the instrumental rationality, as well as and Jenny Johannisson's extension of those into three cultural-political discourses, as sensitizing concepts in my analysis. The questions raised are: How are the three rationalities/discourses articulated in the chosen central documents and in the process surrounding them? Which themes and arguments dominate the chosen documents?The main objects of my study have been four texts that have been produced in the applicationprocess: a Prestudy, a Plan of action, a Broschure and a Cultural policy. Along with them local political protocols, newspaper articles and other related material have been used. The research method applied was a qualitative eclectical textual analysis with emphasis on the content and on tracing the way the rationalities were expressed in the material.The rationalities were all found to be articulated in the four texts.

Bakgrund/Frågeställning: När Fanny Ambjörnssons bok "I en klass för sig ? Genus, klass och sexualitet bland gymnasietjejer" publicerades 2004 fick den ett mottagande få avhandlingar kan räkna med. Den recenserades och diskuterades i tidskrifter, dagstidningar och på olika myndigheters hemsidor. Ambjörnsson följde under ett år kvinnor på två olika gymnasieprogram; ett studieförberedande (Samhällsprogrammet, S) och ett yrkesinriktat (Barn- och Fritidsprogrammet, BF). Boken avser analysera hur klass, sexualitet och etnicitet spelar roll för konstruktionen av genus.

Our purpose has been to review and analyse the representation of rape, as well as discussions concerning rehabilitation, present in texts targeted at professionals and/or female victims of rape. We wish to investigate whether female victims of rape themselves are given the opportunity of individual positioning with regard to the crimes they have been exposed to. We consider it to be of relevance that female victims of rape themselves are given the opportunity to act, react and feel individually in the context in which they find themselves, without judgement or certain expectations on how to act being dealt to them from their surroundings. Our research questions have been as follows; what views of the phenomenon that is rape are presented in the texts? Do the texts apply any specific theoretical analysis aimed at the possible explanations of the phenomenon that is rape? In what ways do the texts present the significance of rape for the female rape victim? How are the victims feelings of disgrace, guilt and disgust with regard to rape explained, are these reactions linked to the understanding of female sexuality? How are methods of the rehabilitation of female rape victims presented in the texts? Do the texts render possible any other/varying subject positions as a female rape victim? To answer these research questions we have applied a critical discourse analysis on our selection of texts and thereafter made a connection to relevant theory.

During the last 20 years, the Swedish health care system has faced major changes. One of them is the increasing pressure to generate economic profit due to private businesses entering the market. Health care units are forced to make some structural changes in order to become effective and efficient. As a result merger and acquisitions has become a part of the health care sector, and seems to be an increasing phenomenon. Mergers and acquisitions have mainly been studied in the industry.

Syftet med denna uppsats är att undersöka Peterhof och Drottningholm, två formella 16-1700-talsparker, i fråga om deras karakteristiska element och strukturer/övergripande planering. Peterhof och Drottningholm valdes som undersökningsobjekt eftersom båda parkerna har en anknytning till samma tid och en gemensam historia som respektive rikes kungliga parker. Det faktum att båda var exempel på parker långt från sina ursprungliga inspirationskällor har också gjort jämförelsen intressant att genomföra. Min metod är att jämföra parkerna genom att göra litteraturstudier och att på plats undersöka karakteristiska element, strukturer och övergripande planering. En tabell görs med hjälp av Anna-Maria Blennows Europas Trädgårdar (2009) och utgör grunden för vad som undersöks i de två parkerna.

The possibility of legitimization of police violence raises important questions of how such violence is legitimized and how resistance is conceived of and defined. I have interviewed seven people in Sweden from different backgrounds, all of whom share the experience of having been subjugated to police violence, including threats, harassments and physical violence.This paper analyzes the performativity of police violence through the relations between police violence, power, sovereignty, subjectstatus and resistance, in order to understand how police violence is being legitimized and to understand its consequenses with respect to those subjugated to it. I?ve also analyzed if this violence is being politicized and, in that case, how politicization is made possible.

Syftet är att se vilka processer och roller som medverkat till att skapa och integrera en mångfaldsplan i en organisation. För att uppnå detta har vi valt att genomföra en diskursanalys som ger oss svar på hur världen presenteras, tolkas och konstrueras. Vi använder Michel Foucault som inspiratör vars åsikter tolkas och sammanlänkas med Charles Taylors, Philomena Esseds och Jacques Derridas åsikter för att på bästa sätt uppfylla vårt syfte. För att skaffa empiriskt underlag har vi valt att utföra en enkätundersökning, vilken till störst del underbygger uppsatsens empiri. För att få en bredare och även djupare insikt har vi även utfört korta intervjuer och observationer under tiden vi befunnit oss på platsen.

Bakgrund och problem: Målkostnadskalkylering innebär att ett företag samarbetar med sina leverantörer för att tillgodose slutkundens önskemål och för att kontrollera kostnadsnivåerna. I vår uppsats undersöker vi vilka kontextuella faktorer som påverkar leverantörernas möjlig-het till inflytande inom ramen för en målkostnadskalkyleringsprocess samt hur leverantörer själva kan påverka processens förutsättningar.Syfte: Uppsatsens syfte är att skapa en förståelse för den problematik som finns kring vad som avgör hur mycket en leverantör kan påverka målkostnadskalkylering.Metod: Vi har använt kvalitativ metod, och som en del i detta personliga intervjuer, för att kunna få en bra kontakt och för att kunna förstå respondenten. Vid urvalet av företag utgick vi från Volvo Personvagnar och tre av företagets leverantörer, Autoliv AB, Bulten AB och Finnveden Metal Structures AB, som vi har valt ut så att alla inte har samma beroendeställ-ning gentemot Volvo Personvagnar.Resultat och slutsatser: En av de kontextuella faktorer som påverkar leverantörers möjlighet till inflytande inom målkostnadskalkylering är leverantörens beroendeställning till köparen. Ju större beroende, desto mindre går att påverka. En annan faktor som påverkar är typen av komponent som leverantören tillverkar.

I takt med att besökare och patienter ökar måste kontinuerligt Östra sjukhuset verksamhet utvecklas. Detta medför omläggningar i trafiken och förflyttningar av verksamheter. Idag finns flertalet brister kring Östra sjukhusets fysiska planering som behöver ses över, dessa är bland annat trafikflöden, säkerhetsaspekter och parkeringsmöjligheter.Rapporten redogör för förändringar i den fysiska planeringen som förbättrar dess utformning. Genom studier av relevant litteratur och diskussioner med expertis har förslag av problemområden tagits fram. Dessa har sedan bedömts efter listor av deras respektive för- och nackdelar som kunnat urskiljas.Arbetet visar framtagandet av ett väl fungerande förslag som kan verka som en bas för idéer till nutida och framtida förändringar kring den fysiska planeringen.

Objectives: The aim in this thesis has been to generate information relevant for strategic positioning and future evaluations within the scientific field of sport and exercise psychology. This has been done by request, and in collaboration with The Group of Sport and Exercise Psychology at the Institution of Psychology at the University of Umeå.Research questions:  (1) How does the cognitive structure within the field of sport and exercise psychology take shape with respect to research topics in current sport-psychological research, i.e. the research front? (2) How does the social structure within the field of sport and exercise psychology take shape with respect to formal scientific collaboration?Data: 879 articles published between 2008-2011 were used in this study. The population of articles were collected from a set of 5 core journals: International Journal of Sport Psychology, Journal of Applied Sport Psychology, Journal of Sport and Exercise Psychology, The Sport Psychologist, Psychology of Sport and Exercise.

The differentStructures that can be found in the cities therefore gets moreimportant and giving design to city Structures also gets morecomplex because of our higher demands on urban functions andcontent. It?s difficult to evaluate the ultimate city Structuresince all people experience their city in different ways, butarchitects still should be able to create urban spaces thatis suited for the human kind, just as we can create differentbiotopes for flora and fauna. Therefore there must be generalideas of what the human being experience as good or bad and theseshould be guidelines when designing urban space.Since urban space is something that most people experience everyday it doesn´t always have a clear impact on them.
