This report evaluates various methods that can be used to position a smartphone running the Android platform, without the use of any special hardware or infrastructure and in conditions where GPS is unavailable or unreliable; such as indoors. Since the beginning of 2007 Stockholm Resilience Centre has produced scientifictransdisciplinary research in the subjects of sustainability and resilience. There is a highambition to communicate the results of the research to key stakeholders. One of the targetgroups is policy makers, because the mission identifies this group as important when reachingfor the main goal (vision) of the research institute. The media of choice is an e-newsletterwith the latest resilience research produced within Stockholm Resilience Centre. It is at thesame time an opportunity to bring forth the organisations objective connected with the vision.The newsletter is studied in the light of marketing communication with the purpose to clarifythe needs of policy makers, examine the limits and possibilities of the media and theorganisational aspects with the intention to give guidelines concerning the development of thenewsletter.

The essays main intent is to examine whether there has been a proper implementation of the Council?s directive 1999/70/EG into Swedish law regarding the requirement for measures to prevent the abuse of successive fixed-term employment contracts. To achieve this purpose there is a need for an examination of current law. The essay also has some secondary purposes. One of these secondary purposes is the question of whether the implementation of the Council?s directive 1999/70/EG has lead to a reduction of the workers employment protection, which is closely connected to my main question and the violation case.

In the present case, the conception of policy hitchhiking gets evaluated in terms of its implications for democracy. This task is executed through the accomplishment of a case study of the use of social- and environmental clauses in the Swedish competitive tendering.A useful definition of policy hitchhiking, including different types of actors, is created.Through the defining of democracy and policy hitchhiking, the author comes to the conclusion that policy hitchhiking in some respects does meet democracy values.The thesis? result can in some sense be regarded as a contribution to the pursuit of knowledge of how power is distributed in the society and how the current distribution can be explained and understood..

This essay examines how public planners and the inhabitants of södra Gårda relate to the physical planning of the area and to the demolition versus the preservation of the quarters Eken and Cedern, and how the dialogue between planners and citizens appears to be. How do the planners and policymakers relate to citizen participation in urban planning, and how is participatory planning carried out in the legislation, rhetorically and in practice. Former research indicates a distinct gap between rhetorics, legislation and actions in practice regarding citizen participation in planning, which is why we find it an interesting topic for further research. The essay aims to highlight the different actors interests and visions of the development of the area. Which are the standpoints and arguments the different actors set out for the future visions of the area? The essay focuses on citizen participation in urban planning in the city of Gothenburg.

Aim With this study we want to highlight and analyze the media spin of the PR campaign Miss Skinny by clarifying; a diffusion pattern which covers posts published by bloggers and journalists; a framing pattern from the first audited post to the last; how journalists are influenced by user generated content, and what consequences this may have for the news coverage.Method We have conducted a studied of news posts and blog posts about the Swedish PR campaign Miss Skinny through content analysis, diffusion analysis and mapped direct links between blog posts and news posts.Main result We found that a surprisingly large amount of news postings contained direct links to previous blog posts and that the former media serial no longer can be applied on today's modern media where journalists and other players come together on the converged media arena. .

Problem: Idag har de flesta detaljhandelsföretag någon form av kundklubb för att stärka banden mellan sig och sina kunder. Men skapar kundklubbar lojala kunder per automatik, eller krävs det mer än vad de flesta företag erbjuder idag? IKEA Family är en av de kundklubbar som funnits längst och på varuhuset i Älmhult upplever man inte att potentialen med kundklubben utnyttjas fullt ut då relationerna med medlemmarna inte utvecklas i önskvärd utsträckning. I detta arbete undersöks huruvida detta beror på konceptuella brister, val av strategi eller implementeringen av konceptet på varuhusnivå eller om det finns andra förklaringar. Syfte: Syftet med uppsatsen är att utifrån vår fallstudie på IKEA-varuhuset i Älmhult, samt med hjälp av utvalda teorier kring lojalitet, relationsmarknadsföring och strategi, skapa förståelse för hur en kundklubbsstrategi bör utformas och förverkligas samt visa på vilka problem som kan uppstå.

Abstract This study is an evaluation of a development project, seeking to work for entrepreneurial learning, starting from John Hattie's findings on the significant factors for visible learning. The study is based on action research a method together with a questionnaire, focused interviews and observation, by the issue of How do students perceive entrepreneurial learning? The results show that the methodology contributes to a more active learning and greater work satisfaction among students. The results also reinforce the thesis of the formative assessment and the importance of reflection for increased metacognition. The work identifies the project's educational shortcomings and strengths, and lays the foundation for further development towards full implementation of entrepreneurial learning in a secondary activity that works to prepare students with special needs for the labor market..

Detta arbete syftar till att undersöka hur kontrakt kan utvinnas från programkod för att skapa dokumentation som andra programmerare kan använda för att förstå hur programkoden ska användas. Kontrakt i kod fungerar både som ett sätt att hitta fel och som dokumentation så om den försvinner, exempelvis vid kompilering, kan koden bli oanvändbar för andra.I arbetet görs en implementation vilket resulterar i ett program som kan hitta kontrakt i C++-kod och skapa XML-utdata med information om kontrakten. Programmet kan skapa mer avancerad dokumentationen genom förståelse för hur kontrakt fungerar i samband med arv. En utvärdering genom experiment av programmet visar att det har potential att bli ett användbart verktyg som underlättar återanvändning och dokumentering av programkod, men den nuvarande implementationen kan bara hantera en lite del av C++ och är därför inte praktiskt användbar..

Studies show that activity based costing (ABC) is not widespread in practice even though it has been present in the academic world since the 80's. This thesis examines the reasons for the discrepancy between theory and practice through a case study of a Swedish manufacturing company. The intension is to answer the question of what contributes to the choice of precision in product costing.We found arguments for increasing precision in product costing but not to the extent of a full-scale ABC implementation. Syfte: Studiens syfte är att bidra till forskningen kring ekonomistyrningens innehåll och utformning och mer specifikt att bidra till en ökad förståelse kring ekonomistyrningen i ideella föreningar. Metod: Studien har en kvalitativ ansats med en undersökningsmetod i form av intervjuer.Vår studie baseras på empiriskt material från strukturerade intervjuer med representanter från fyra olika ideella föreningar. Det teoretiska och empiriska materialet har sammanställts i respektive kapitel och därefter analyserats i förhållande till frågeställningen. Slutsatser: Resultatet visar att även om ekonomistyrning används i ideella föreningar utnyttjar man inte styrningens fulla potential. Avsaknaden av tydliga mål, verksamhetsplanering och strategisk planering försvårar styrandet i föreningarna. Budgeten används för att få överblick av föreningens finansiella position och ekonomisk uppföljning används för att kontrollera att budgeten följs..

Denna studie går ut på att undersöka vilka mediekanaler unga förstagångsväljare använde sigav för att få politisk information innan och under riksdagsvalet 2010. Syftet är också attundersöka hur traditionella massmedier, som tidigare varit den dominerande källan förpolitisk information, står sig i relation till sociala medier i den fragmenterade medievärld vilever i idag. Den teoretiska utgångspunkten är utifrån Uses and Gratifications-teorin samttidigare forskning rörande förstagångsväljare och sociala medier. Metoddelen är kvantitativ iform av en frågeundersökning med gymnasieelever som läser sista året på gymnasiet.Datainsamlingen genomfördes i Sundsvall och Jönköping under december 2010. Resultatet visar att unga förstagångsväljare fortfarande anser att de traditionella medierna,främst TV, är de viktigaste för deras politiska information. Det framgår också i resultatet attdet politiska intresset hos unga ökar under valår.

Inom styr- och reglerteknik är hantering av larm en viktig fråga, speciellt då fastighetsbranschen mer och mer börjat automatisera driften av fastigheterna. Det finns ett antal system på marknaden som erbjuder larmdistribution via en mängd olika transportsystem. Syftet med projektet är att undersöka om det finns alternativ till dessa som erbjuder mer flexibilitet, samt att designa en prototyp till ett system som använder denna alternativa metod. Två befintliga system analyserades och en kravspecifikation baserad på analysen upprättades. Utifrån denna designades en prototyp som sköter distributionen över Internet och en enkel implementation av en del av designen har gjorts.
