AbstractTitle: External communication and brand strategies in Swedish municipalities? Author: Philip Hagne & Einar Svensson? Tutor: Jessica Gustafsson? Purpose: The aim of this thesis was to study and obtain greater understanding on how Swedish municipalities use external communication and branding strategies to gain and attract more residents. The key questions to be answered in this thesis were: What does the external communication look like in the selected municipalities? Are the selected municipalities trying to establish their own brand? What does the work on creating the brand look like??Method/Material: This thesis is based on material collected trough interviews with people working with external communication in eleven swedish municipalities. The selected municipalities where divided into two groups based on their negative or positive population growth between 2005 and 2012.

The aim of this thesis is to examine how personnel working with asylum cases at the Swedish Migration Board handle their role as administrators of asylum. For the study 7 asylum administrators were interviewed and the analysis was made with influence from the method critical discourse analysis. To understand the themes in the analysis I have used Michael Lipskys theory about street-level bureaucrats. Main results from the analysis of the interviews were that the street-level bureaucrats had certain strategies for managing the difficult aspects of the job. The interviews also showed that the participating informants had difficulties with different identity positions..

Consumption of meat and poultry has increased during the last ten years while the production in Sweden has decreased. Cheap imports are competing with Swedish products and consumers, restaurant and retail let the price decided what to purchase. Swedish food producers can become better at communicating the added values that meat and poultry produced in Sweden has. Social media gives companies a possible tool for communication in order to communicate and create a relationship with consumers. The rise of social media does not only affect consumer decisions making, but also corporate communication. The objective of this project is to investigate how social media can connect the farmer to the consumer.

Companies around the globe all have one thing in common; they are surrounded by individuals or groups of individuals that can influence the company in one way or another. These individuals and groups of individuals are called stakeholders. This study in concerned with the importance of a company?s awereness of and relationship with which stakeholders surround them. The fact that more companies show awareness of responsible conduct, in particular of the environment and social aspects of management may be a way to build a strong corporate image.

BackgroundThe lifeworld describes the experience of being a humanbeing, how we experience life and how we live our lifes. When a disease, such as depression occurs, the whole lifeworld can be filled with suffering. Depression is an affective disease, which means it involves the emotions. The patient gets dejected and the emotional devotion abates. Broken sleep, anxiety, pain, concentrations difficulties, fatigue and reduced appetite is some of the symptoms.

Sammanfattning: Bröstcancer är en allvarlig sjukdom och den vanligaste bland kvinnor. Omkring 7000 nya fall upptäcks varje år och mortaliteten uppgår till runt 1500 årligen. En kvinna av tio under 75 års ålder kan räkna med att drabbas och livskvaliteten kan förändras i samband med diagnosen och behandlingen. Syfte: Syftet med denna studie var att belysa livskvaliteten hos kvinnor efter genomgången behandling för bröstcancer. Metod: Metoden som användes var en systematisk litteraturöversikt och resultatet bygger på tio vetenskapliga artiklar.

Syfte: Att med hjälp av videoanalys och programvaran Dartfish, undersöka eventuella skillnader i stödfasen på vinkeln mellan calcaneus och underlaget, hos personer med Pes planus och pes cavus, både efter en- och 45 minuters löpning på löpband.  Studiedesign: En experimentell studie. Metod: Trettiofyra personer vars fot/fötter uppmättes till pes cavus och pes planus enligt kriterierna för Medial Longitudinale Arch -angle, inkluderades i studien. Mätningarna gjordes på en stillbild med digital goniometer i programvaran Dartfish. Därefter mättes calcaneus vertikala mittlinje i förhållande till underlaget i stödfasen både efter 1 minut och 45 minuter, när försökspersonerna sprang barfota på ett löpband.

In this thesis we propose a conceptual plan for thedevelopment of an Agroforestry Training Centre (ATC)in Musoma, Tanzania. The aim is to make a proposalto support peasant education in agroforestry. How canan ATC in Musoma be developed into a stimulatingand educational park suitable for teaching agroforestrymethods to peasant farmers and other potential users?To answer that a field study was conducted to investigatehow our client Vi Agroforestry Programme (Vi) and thetarget groups of the client can benefit from the site.The thesis begins with a short explanation of thecontext, in which the ATC plays a part followed by amethodology chapter. Next are three chapters presentedwhich introduce the reader to the research conductedbefore starting the proposal, these include: results ofliterature studies, study of precedents, and results of fieldstudy.

The prevailing urban migration is a worldwide process. This results in growing cities and a diminishing proportion of people living in the countryside. As the urbanization continues a large amount of the world?s population is expected to live in urban settlements of informal character by 2050. Green Belt has for many years been used to control urban growth and to secure the sustention of larger green areas around towns and cities.

The purpose with this thesis is to clarify how estate agents working with their marketing and marketing strategies. Our study has occured in Kalmar and we have used five different estate agents for our collection of empiric?s data. We have worked with a qualitative methodology to achieve deeper knowledge about these five company?s which have been chosen for the study.We have selected theories that suit our subject and together with the empiric data these two parts will be compared which concludes in an analysis.

The purpose of this study was to examine health promotion and ill-health prevention in the workplaces of the City District Committees in the City of Malmö. More specifically, we wanted to find what types of health problems there were and what kinds of strategies were applied to prevent them. Furthermore, the aim was to examine whether the leaders of the City of Malmö saw any effects of the strategies in use and if so, which. Finally, the intention was to compare our empirical results to previous research in the field of health promotion and ill-health prevention in workplaces. We conducted a qualitative study consisting of semi-structured interviews with five leaders in different levels, two personnel secretaries, two employees assigned to improve the health of the personnel in the City Districts, and one safety representative.

Det är viktigt att ha i åtanke att livskvaliteten kan påverkas vid avlägsnande av livmodern. Livskvalitet definieras som en persons egna upplevelser och inre tillstånd.Syfte: Att beskriva kvinnors livskvalitet efter att ha genomgått en hysterektomi.Metod: Litteraturstudie baserad på nio artiklar. En systematisk sökning gjordes i databaserna Cinahl, Medline, PubMed och PsycINFO. En metod inspirerad av manifest innehållsanalys användes för att sammanställa resultatet.Resultat: Fysisk livskvalitet: Smärta upplevdes i varierande grad hos kvinnor som genomgått en hysterektomi.

AbstractBackgroundParkinson?s disease is a chronically not curable progressive disease that leads to different degrees of disability. Controlled studies on how patient education influences subjective health in Parkinson?s disease are lacking.AimThe aim of this study was to examine the influence patient education had on drug requirements and on subjective health status of persons with Parkinson?s disease.MethodologyA short form of Health Survey, SF-12, was used to measure perceived health. SF-12 was administered before and one month after patient education (intervention group; n= 48), and in waiting list control (n= 48).

Bakgrund: Cytostatika har sedan 1960-talet använts för att bota flera olika cancerformer. Cytostatika skadar tumörer men påverkar även friska celler vilket ofta medför en rad olika biverkningar. Cancerpatienter befinner sig ofta i en sårbar situation vilket kräver omsorgsfull omvårdnad. Syfte: Syftet med studien var att studera patienters upplevelser av vanligt förekommande cytostatikaorsakade biverkningar (illamående och kräkningar, fatigue, hårförlust, smak-och luktförändringar) samt vilka hanteringsstrategier de använder sig av. Metod: Denna litteraturstudie baseras på nio kvalitativa artiklar.
