SammanfattningSyftet med denna studie var att söka samband mellan upplevd stress och självtillit hos kvinnor i arbetsrelaterade situationer. Frågeställning: Finns det ett samband mellan upplevd stress och självtillit hos kvinnor i arbetsrelaterade situationer? Vår hypotes var att det finns ett samband mellan en kvinnas upplevda stress och självtillit i arbetsrelaterade situationer.För vår undersökning krävdes att vi kan mäta två variabler; stressnivå och självtillit hos en individ. Vi har genomfört en kvantitativ studie där vi har använt oss av en webbaserad enkät. Vi har valt att studera yrkesverksamma kvinnor och har tillfrågat 100 kvinnor som alla har någon form av relation till oss.

SammanfattningI en pappersrulle är de yttre lagren utsatta för dragspänning. Om det finns variationer i rullens diameter i form av valkar finns det risk för att papperet förlängs irreversibelt i dessa positioner och orsaka slappa stråk. Den deformation som uppstår vid långvarig belastning av papper kallas krypning.Uppgiften i detta arbete var, att på lab., simulera valkar genom att utsätta pappersremsor för konstant dragspänning av olika storlekar. En av frågeställningarna var om egenskapsförändringar kan påvisas när papper utsätts för konstant inspänningskraft under en längre tid. De parametrar som undersökts var töjning, kryphastighet och relaxation, även mätningar på papperets mekaniska egenskaper dragstyrka, brottöjning och dragstyvhet har utförts i detta arbete.De papperskvalitéer som undersöktes var 71g/m2 MG-papper, 80g/m2 optisk liner och 135g/m2 liner.

The project concerns a predevelopment work for Scania AB, a leading manufacturer of heavytrucks, and was performed as a master thesis work for the program Design and ProductDevelopment at KTH. The purpose of this work was to examine how the work situation of truckdrivers, especially long-haulage drivers, can be improved with respect to prolonged sedentaryoccupation. Mental fatigue and under-stimulation due to low cognitive load during long drivescan be major risk factors for traffic accidents. To fit into our society the dogs of today need a good mentality. To investigate their mentalitydifferent behavior tests have been developed. The tests are useful tools in the selection ofbreeding animals as well as for working and companion dogs. To counter the demand for atest that could be suited for all kind of dogs, regardless of their future function, the mentalitytest Beteende- och personlighetsbeskrivning hund (BPH) was developed. BPH consists ofseven subtests that expose dogs to various situations that can be found in everyday life, suchas meeting an unfamiliar person, sudden noises and suddenly appearing objects.The aim of this study was to find out if there are differences in physiological values betweenindividuals, validate the behavior observations during BPH and get aware of how the dogsexperience the situation.

Since the first wolf was taken as a companion animal a lot have happened with the biology of these animals. Is it possible that changes in the gut microbiota of the domestic dog are involved in the increasing numbers of animals with gastrointestinal disorders? Probiotics have been proven to promote the immune system of dogs by increasing concentrations of neutrophils and monocytes, decreasing the fragility of erythrocytes and increasing the serum IgG concentrations. Probiotics have also been shown to improve the fecal consistency, fecal dry matter and defecation frequency of dogs. The aim of this study was to find out if the bacterial counts in the gut of dogs differed from the gut of wolves, with the focus on lactobacilli.

This report is the final part within our education, Industrial Organization and Economy focusing on Logistics and Management at Jönköping School of Engineering. The aim with this report is to coordinate recycle drives for deposited aluminum-cans and bottles collected from grocery stores within Jönköping county and locality.In the present situation both aluminum cans and bottles filled with drinks are distributed to the grocery stores by the brewery?s own distributers. At the same time as they supply the drinks they also discharge the grocery stores units with restored aluminumcans and bottles. To make it easier for the grocery stores to handle the goods in the future, all distribution of drinks ought to be directly delivered to the grocery stores own separate central warehouse.

Bringing back the nutrients from the city to the country is becoming increasingly important, as the world?s stores of nutrients get more exhausted. Sewage sludge is an unapplied resource, rich in plant nutrients, which could replace parts of the commercial fertilizers used in Sweden today. Sewage sludge may contain large amounts of pathogens, such as Campylobacter and Salmonella, why use can cause severe spreading of infections, both to animals and humans. These pathogens have the ability to survive for a long time in soil and water and therefore some sort of treatment of the sludge is recommended before use.

Stabilization of subgrade is an internationally common technique to improve the characteristics of a soft soil. Improving the stiffness and bearing capacity of the subgrade enables the pavement to be designed with reduced depths of subbase and basecourse aggregates. This makes the stabilization technique both economically and environmentally interesting. Both natural and stabilized soils have high inherent property variability that should be considered when the characteristic value is derived. By analyzing the spatial variability in stabilized and natural subgrades it is possible get the parameters needed for reliability?based modeling of soil properties.

Vid SSAB:s produktionsanläggning i Luleå är slutprodukten slabs, ett rektangulärt stålämne cirka elva meter långt samt en och en halv meter brett. Dessa ämnen tillverkas enligt kundens önskemål och har olika sammansättningar. Konkurrensen är hård vilket innebär att det är viktigt för SSAB att stålet har de egenskaper som kunden efterfrågar. SSAB säkerställer att ämnet uppfyller kundens krav genom att ta stålprover för analys. På stålproverna mäts olika materialegenskaper, den så kallade inre kvaliteten, och de undersöks också för att kontrollera att stålämnena inte innehåller stora sprickor eller allt för stora centrumsegringar som bildas då stålet stelnar.Då många legeringar löser sig lättare i det flytande stålet än i det stelnade innebär det att koncentrationen av dessa ämnen blir högre i de delar som stelnar sist, centrumsegringar har därmed uppstått.

Gastric and intestinal disorders are common and costly human health problems worldwide. Helicobacter pylori are a gram-negative, pathogen bacteria and the most common cause of duodenal and gastric ulcer in the stomach the intestinal mucosa. Prolonged infection and colonization can lead to chronic gastritis and stomach cancer. H. pylori are present in the gastric and intestinal mucosa of half of the world population and a relation between infection and low socioeconomic status has been shown.

Running water-pathways have played an important roll in Sweden and frequently been manipulated. One profound change was made during the period of logging when streams were cleared from obstacles as big boulders, sharp bends and side-streams. Dams and different constructions gave control of the stream water and the streams became channel-like with a homogen structure. This interference gave problems for many fish populations and resulted in a shortage of feeding habitat, over-wintering habitat, spawning habitat, unnatural flow regimes, sedimentation, unnatural temperature fluctuations. Many of these historical changes of the watersheds are now subjects for restoration, ie., bring back the streams to what we believed it was before the change. However, what once existed in terms of complexity is now gone and difficult toreplace.

The first aim of this study was to train mice to voluntarily stand still using positive reinforcement training. Another benefit of teaching a mouse to stand still is that you can avoid anaesthesia for some procedures.

BakgrundArbetsmarknaden präglas av både arbetslöshet och brist på arbetskraft. Det visar sig vara så att det finns en obalans gällande efterfrågan på olika yrken. Samtidigt som det finns ett överflöd av individer med en särskild kompetens kan det alltså vara brist på individer med en annan kompetens. I Värmlands län och Karlstad kommun råder det arbetskraftsbrist på förskollärare. En utmaning har uttalats vara att utbildade förskollärare tar anställning i en annan kommun och i viss mån även hos privat sektor.

At seed-growing the aim is to produce a commodity with high germination capacity, good soundness and purity, and also slight admixture of seeds from other species.
