The following essay aims to determine what textbooks and teaching media educators in the county of Västerbotten use when teaching the relation between religion and science. Based on educational science theory and through analyzes of factual texts, the teaching materials was examined to determine how much focus they put on the thematic of religion and science. The result shows how the different teaching materials affect this thematic differently. The main conclusion is therefore that students in Sweden could, depending on the teaching materials used in their education, be taught by different standards to reach the same requirements..

Stockholm is considered as a tourist destination which has a lot of offers to attract tourists and if it utilizes it water better it can give a wonderful and unique experiences and cold baths may become an image to it.The aim of this study is to shed light on the open-air swimming-baths and shores of Stockholm. Also how to use this advantage as it?s a city based on many islands, the purest water in Europe and this makes Stockholm as a destination a very attractive place for tourism. For a better understanding of our study, we have studied the quality and quantity to see how people began to exploit open-air swimming-baths throughout history everywhere in Europe and specifically of Stockholm city sea shore. We did a study on the history traditions of open-air swimming-baths and how it can be a tourist attraction through books and interviews, scientific articles and our personal observation, so that we can analyze how to develop sustainable tourism in the future and how Stockholm city can make development of opportunities for the future.

The competition between the Swedish municipalities has increased as the world has become more globalized, which means that they need to become more attractive for sustaining sound finances and not to find themselves to have a downward trend. One possibility to show the attractiveness of a place is by using place marketing and therewith attaining a stronger brand position. There are 20 suburban municipalities in the county of Stockholm, of which six are multicultural or are having a minimum of 20 percent immigrants among the residents. These immigrant areas are segregated based on class, income and culture. Problems associated with these areas have historical aspects that dates further back than modern immigration does.

AbstractObjective: To investigate the occurrence of and the risk factors for falls and to  investigate level of fall-related self-efficacy and health-related quality of life in people living in community living, 75 years or older within Uppsala and Västmanlands county. A further aim was to identify predictive risk factors for falls. Design: A cross-section study with a descriptive, comparative and correlative design based on a questionnaire was used. Participants: The participants were recruited from Uppsala and Västmanlands county. A random selection on 525 individuals was done, from a population based sample, in the detailed municipalities.

Detta examensarbete är en del av utbildningen. Rapporten handlar om Stockholm stadions byte av gummimatta och inmätning av idrottsplatsen. Efter att befintliga gummimattan tagits bort avvägdes asfaltsytan som ligger under mattan. Detta görs för att ta fram höjder över asfaltsytan. Detta underlättar för att få rätt höjder på den nya mattan.

Många butiker i glesbygden har tvingats lägga ned på grund av hård konkurrens från större butiker i städer och handelscentrum. De har dock ofta en samhällviktig roll som exempelvis ombud för apotek och post och en nedläggning bör om möjligt undvikas. Minskade energikostnader resulterar i att butikers chanser att överleva ökar. Projektets syfte var att föreslå åtgärder som kan reducera energianvändningen i fyra butiker i Stockholms skärgård. En energimodell för butikerna utvecklades för att simulera energianvändningen samt effekter av åtgärder, enskilt och i paket.

Background: Various follow-up studies show that there are deficiencies in the care of patients affected by stroke. In order to provide good care according to the National Board of health and welfare and national guidelines for stroke care systematic quality audits need to be carried out.Purpose: To investigate if the local guidelines for stroke care in Örebro County are followed and to explore how people with stroke experience care and rehabilitation in hospital, primary care and community.Method: Primary health care records were reviewed using quality indicators in the local stroke guidelines. Samples of patients were obtained from the County´s three hospitals. Differences between men and women, younger and older, were analysed with chi-squared test. Eleven people were interviewed about their experiences of care, rehabilitation, support and participation.

De senaste åren har debatten och kritiken mot fjärrvärmebolagen och hur fjärrvärmemarknaden hanteras varit skarp. Kundens position har varit svag och har du varit ansluten till ett fjärrvärmebolag har du också varit låst till dennes priser och prishöjningar.Arbetet bygger inledningsvis på en litteraturstudie av fjärrvärmens uppbyggnad, historia och dess alternativ. Vi försöker exempelvis reda ut de komplicerade prissättningsmodeller som fjärrvärmebolagen använder sig av.En av de åsikter som har uttryckts kring fjärrvärmen, från kunder, branschorganisationer och politiker är att fjärrvärmemarknaden bör konkurrensutsättas, att ett så kallat tredjepartstillträde ska tillåtas. Den utredning regeringen tillsatte 2009 kom i slutet på april i år med sitt betänkande på just detta. Där förslår de att en lagändring bör ske och att ett generellt tredjepartstillträde bör tillåtas alla fjärrvärmemarknader.

This is a study about the Swedish liming operation and the Swedish liming officer?s opinions of some aspects regarding ecology, economy and organization. The study objectives was motivated due to the recent changes in manuals for the assessment of limed waters and the suggested changes in decision making and decreased budget for liming. Moreover the anthropogenic acidification effects on the ecology are in many ways complex. Furthermore it was made in order to gain knowledge about the liming officer?s opinions in order to improve the ability to meet their needs regarding the assessment tools and also to investigate if other things can be improved concerning the liming operation.

Studiens syfte är att kartlägga hur utbrett missbruk av alkohol, droger, och läkemedel m.fl. är bland funktionshindrade vuxna som är biståndstagare i Stockholms kommun. Delsyftet är att kartlägga vilka handlingsmöjligheter som finns när personalen vill hjälpa eller får hjälp till den som berörs av ett missbruk. I studien har ingått 20 enhetschefer i Stockholmskommun av vilka 11 är enhetschefer för personlig assistans/individuellt stöd och 9 är enhetschefer för socialpsykiatri. Tillsammans representerar cheferna 12 av Stockholmskommunens 18 stadsdelar.

This study focuses on the influence a user may have over his or her welfare service, personal assistance. A county, an assistance firm and a user cooperative are compared with the thesis that the organisation that surrounds the users shapes the possibilities the user have to influence his or her personal assistance. There are questions that try to answer if there are outspoken social goals within each organisation. Questions regarding influence of the user when she or he is choosing the assistance provider and the users possibility to influence and his or her power to decide who and when anyone works as an assistant are asked..

This thesis explores in which ways the portrayal of the event known as the Stockholm bloodbath has changed during the period 1869-1996. This is done through textbook analysis. In Sweden, history has been a school subject since the 17th century, and has throughout its history had a formative role in the Swedish school system. In the middle of the 19th century it was specifically stated that the aim was to help students nurture a sense of national pride and love of country. The aim of the study is to investigate how nationally loaded events have been portrayed in text books, as well as if and how the evolution of said textbooks reflect the evolution of the history subject as a whole.

I en tid där hållbar utveckling nått stor genomslagskraft världen över samtidigt som en allt större kritik växt fram mot hållbarhetsbegreppets potential har syftet med den här uppsatsen varit att försöka utmana den kritiken. Forskare menar att begreppet är vagt och saknar innebörd (Davidson 2010), att de tre dimensionerna av hållbarhet tenderar att resultera i ekologi och miljötekniska lösningar (Vallance m fl. 2012), samt att begreppet gett upphov till en allmän definition som är svår att ifrågasätta (Swyngedouw 2010). För att besvara studiens syfte och frågeställningar har Norra Djurgårdsstaden valts som fall och kvalitativa intervjuer har genomförts med tjänstemän på Stockholms stad, byggherrar och boende i området. Undersökningen har kunnat konstatera att projektet Norra Djurgårdsstaden både kunnat bekräfta och utmana kritiken mot hållbarhetsbegreppet.

The large number of surrendered and feral cats is a big animal welfare problem all over the world. Populations of feral cats arise through a large number of unwanted cats which can lead to surrender of these, through cats allowed to roam free outside which can lead to the owner losing these and through the reproduction that occurs amongst these surrendered or lost cats. One aim of this study is to give an account of this problem. It is however difficult to draw general conclusions about these populations of cats since studies all over the world has been carried out on different types of populations, during different conditions and different periods of time. The welfare of many of these cats is presumably low because they are exposed to risks as disease, starvation, climate, traffic, other animals and humans.
